I’ve got to stop singing the pattern song.
People think I’m nuts (as I probably am).
I also hope I will stop saying “It is now my priority to end the prophecy” every time a person says something about a prophecy.

I just hope we’ll see some more gothic and creepy scenes like in IWHS or Giga-Shadow.
What ruined the second series for me was the weak plot. The plot in the first was VERY mysterious and creepy(hooray!). I hope the
plot in the 4th is going to be good.
What about the 3rd? Is that a good plot?

The Cluster. Its so horribly dark and gothic. Like Blade Runner but with a medieval “feel”. It was so sad to see it explode so early in the series.

I think Lexx should stop now. When a series is at its best it should stop. But you are right…how can it possibly get boring?
I just hope we get another Divine Shadow type villain. It would be kewl if the president of the US is going to be like that!

What about a sci-fi celebrity getting kidnapped and his/her only hope is…guess who? Eveything can be combined. Maybe the leaders of the world could spread a rumour about it to get us morons off the planet?

Geek: ” Thank goodness I had you to talk with. These travels are SO long without someone I can tell Lexx anecdotes.”

Hey c’mon everyone! You are just provoking him! Shouldn’t we try to convince him that we do NOT worship satan? Smith I think you are wrong. How can we be happy if we are afraid of coming near everything that could be the work of Satan? Then ANYTHING could be tainted. Even a bible.
Remember the story about the man that is attacked by robbers? Who helps the man?
Not the priest’s because the poor man’s body is TAINTED!!!
By being afraid of everything then love and happiness is impossible to obtain…

Aren’t we a bit weird to talk about a fictional characther as if he was alive?
About the cicle of time…it might take while. I think Kai said it would take at least a billion years befire the next big bang. ( Am I the only one to think it’s a
lame name? The birth of an entire universe…and what do we call it? BIG BANG!) Well if Donovan said the insect’s wherent exctinct yet…we might not get HDS back, but we MIGHT get another even MORE creepy fella. But somehow I think he may come back…the actors in Brigadoom called Kai the most important person of all.
There MUST be more to it…I just wan’t his Shadow back for ONE reason. That I simply
COULDN’T TAKE to see the last scene in series 2. ( “I destroyed a universe!”)
THAT was once the most powerfull ruler in the 2 universes?! Aaaaaaargh!

This is how I think the series should end…

( A human body lies among the debris of the former bridge of Lexx. He is badly hurt.
His black eyes open when someone enters- Kai)

    HDS: Kai…
    Kai: Kai,last of the Brunnen-G.
    HDS: You should be dead.
Kai: I am. And so should you.
HDS: You must be the prophecy.
Kai: I am. And now it must be my priority to end it. Die last of the insects. (Fires his blade into HDS’ heart.
HDS: No…( an insect of black essence appears above the body screaming in pain and then it slowly fades away.)

    But unfurtunely it won’t…sob.
(Unless Mantrids twin sister builds a
    revive-an-insect-essence-machine)

Well…the beans have always found a way.
Just think of Kai. We never knew how the essence passed into him. But whatever. I have nothing against that the bug is dead.
But…sigh…it was an utterly low death he got. Just think of it. You used to rule all humans and destroy planets as you liked.
People would happily die for you. They worshipped you. And you have this cool voice and even cooler clothing! Yeah! Then your brain is eaten by a lizard and you are locked inside a little box with a gibbering maniac. Of course it helps to detroy a universe but only because of your annoying room-mate. Then you get crushed under a boot-heel while the other bloke takes all the honor. Poor guy…um…bug.

Well the prophecy could have been fullfilled in Giga-shadow when the last ACTUAL His Shadow was killed. After all the insect in Mantrid was an insect and not his Shadow. Every divine predecessor was a HDS
and Kai may not have killed the essence but he ended his Shadows ORDER. Or do the other
beings posseded by him (Mantrid, the larvae etc.)count as HSD’s as well? All we can do is wait and see.

Even if his Shadow is dead it would be interesting to have a look at time before the humans. To see his Shadow before the fall of his race. What could he(?) have been like? It could be interesting to see it from
HIS point of wiev. After all he could have been a really nice guy…um…bug in the start untill the destruction of the insects
drove him mad. After all he was born in the light zone while the humans where the children of the dark universe of destruction… I really hope we haven’t seen the last of him. Such a powerfull creature should not be crushed like a…um…insect under a boot while screaming like a little child. That sucked. The reason I personally
wan’t him back is that we need some
    ANSWERS(!!!)to for example those questions
    DalekTek790 has written.

Hmm…Someone suggested that the insects in the Lexx could mutate into The insects. It seems like my original butterfly suggestion
was a good one. I think thats a great idea.
Time repeats itself. I hope so. Maybe this is some kind of paradox?
Maybe the time prophet is the last of the race that created it? Neverthless I think we need some kind of his Shadow. As I probably have said before before the insect essence can be extracted from the host just like in the first episode. I could be everywhere on the Lexx. If it does I really don’t hope Mantrid is still a part of it. Under all circumstances Mantrids essence was on Fire and there was no sign of the insect within him.

Another favorie of mine is all the things Stan makes the Lexx say. “Yes Stanley the stunner makes love like no other”

The most creepy line must be his Shadows
    “Excellent. Now…shoot yourself.” or
” It is the end. And the beginning. The end and the beginning. The end…” and
“it must now be my priority to end this prophecy”

    Or Vigo’s ” But…but…Mantrid! I love you!”

    And of course captain Moss’
” We are in-tel-li-gent. This is a potato.”

And of course Mantrids ” I destroyed a universe!”

I am not sure about the timetravell thing. It has been done many times…but so has the
“mad scientist” thing and Mantrid was with no doubt the coolest ever. 790 felling in love with Stan? What about the Lexx?
Stan tries to transfer data from 790 to the Lexx but somehow this goes wrong and the Lexx copies 790’s programming. The Lexx is shut down for a brief period and then…
” I will love you forever and ever”.
Or you could have both the Lexx and 790 felling in love with the same person…

790: It is me he loves BUG-FACE!
Lexx: You are just a head. I am the most powerfull wea…
790: Hah! You think that can win the heart of my Stan?

About the second insect wars…wasn’t that Mantrid?
Was he insect or not? Anyway I think the time prophet should reappear to give advice or somethimg. I was surprised that she never turned up when the universe ended. Personally I think it is the time for an answer about the cycles of time.

This is how I personally see this whole mess: Mantrid used to live his happy life on that dump of a planet untill the Lexx came. The larvae became his Shadow and was (maybe?) killed by Mantrid but the essence of the insect (wich does not seem to have anything to do with a mind)turned Mantrid into an insect himself. So Mantrid was never mixed with his Shadow, but a part of him(insect instinct). I like this version because I would HATE if that little box that screamed “I detroyed a universe!” was the same person…er…insect that without any feelings killed Kai.

The prophecy flawed? I certainly don’t hope so. But the “most important story ever” can’t exactly be important of Kai does not end the insects once and for all! I just came to think about that butterfly in…was that “end of the universe?” If there is living things aboard the Lexx then there is plenty of places his Shadows essence could be! You sure that insect larvae died? It could have escapen through the center of the universe. After all the mind of his Shadow still remains in a host even when the essence is removed. I know it’s pathetic. But I just wan’t (sob) his (waaah) Shadow back! People wouldn’t expect that after he has been dead since episode 2.1…

in reply to: lexx writers #54410

The essence of his Shadow…maybe it was extracted from Mantrid (just in “I worship his Shadow) and is now in someones/somethings brain? The cicle of time thing is a great idea. After all I think was a REAL anti-climax if the light zone was detroyed forever. But after all it was time for the cycle to end. The light zone really
SHOULD be reborn as well as this mysterious moon that was the home of the time prophet.
But…what we really need in series 4 is ANSWERS. Answers about Kai and the prophecy.
A prophecy I REALLY think needs to fullfilled now. Answers about Stans past.
Answers about the insects. And this time the series should have a happy end. What is important is the plot. What made the difference between the series was the the plot. The “insect”-plot in series 1 was brilliant. The continuing story in series 2 was not bad but still not as good as the one in series 1. But what we REALLY wan’t to see is his divine Shadow. Reborn in a really REALLY mysterious and really REALLY unexpected way. Another idea I have is an
ancient divine order spaceship that fled from the cleansing. Aboard it is some badd-asses and THODIN!!! His body was used to create another undead assasin. The crew wanted to flee and build another divine order as they want to RULE the universe not destroy it. With all the proto-blood they brought with them this should solve Kai’s
    problems. But…bring…back…his…Shadow!!!

As you remember in the very first episode his Shadow was actually able to extract his essence from his body when his brain was to be removed. But what if…the essence of his Shadow was extracted to someone/something before Mantrid was killed? Actually I mean Sadgeezer wrote something about Mantrid being killed and the essence of his Shadow controlling Sputnik’s mom. Or is it me that misunderstood something?
Wait one minute! Now I understand! His Shadow was killed by Mantrid and only “insect
    essence”(lust to kill humans)was left?
If that is correct then his Shadow was only killed and never arsorbed by Mantrid(Hooray!) But GOD I’d wish the bug would return…

(I haven’t seen all the episodes)

    1. I worship his Shadow- creepy
    2. Super Nova- mysterious and fun. Poetman is cool.
    3. Brizon- Great villain! Full of the things I liked about “I worship his Shadow”
    4. Lafftrak- couldn’t stop laughing!
    5. Giga Shadow- mysterious and creepy
    6. End of the universe- had lots of great ideas and humour!
    7. Eating pattern- fun
    8. Lyekka- awesome astronauts!
    9. Luvliner- Schlemmi rocks! Good jokes. Rest of it poor.
    10. Mantrid- Great episode but…what a way to kill his Shadow! ( Sniff)
Probably not in that order. I really couldn’t decide.

Sigh…there where some really good villains in series 2. Schlemmi. Mantrid. Brizon.
But…Mantrid arbsorbing HS…it really ruined the series for me. If those drones had been mechanical insects…Mantrid having those black “posseded eyes” or just ANYTHING
that confirmed “the insect within me”.
On the other hand it was a brave thing the
Lexx writers did. Instead of the rebirth ( like those star wars cartoons where they keep cloning the emperor instead of something new) of the insects we got a really really REALLY weird scientist. The main problem was just…it was hard to think of anyone as a villain after seeing HS in action. That was why I rejoiced when I saw those little buzzing (like insects! Hooray!) arms that took form of an insect when they destroyed planets. Yeah! The “mad scientist” is a very overused type though. But what a cool twist Mantrid was! BUT WHY COULDN’T IT HAVE BEEN THE ESSENCE OF AN INSECT LARVAE INSTEAD OF HIS SHADOW?!!! The end of series 2 just seemed so…dissapointing somehow. The crew had just ended the dread divine order thus making the ancients time prophets prophecy come through and saving the light universe from from certain doom. And then a head on a large jar destroys it. Okay. Now I can hear you yell “is there a point to all this?” Yep. It should have been either Mantrid OR his Shadow.
