The Entwives were the female counterparts to Treebeard and the Ents. They loved gardens and orchards instead of the wild woods and moved further and further away from the wild woods to make their orchards and gardens, but during the earlier battles with Sauron’s minions they were driven away/destroyed (this is kinda ambiguous) and their gardens were destroyed as well. The area became known as the brown lands, where little grew. Treebeard actually sings a song about the Entwives in the book and asks Merry and Pippin to bring word if they ever heard where they went. Without the Entwives there are no Entings (baby Ents) and therefore the Ents are a dying breed.
Sorry for length! Does that explain everything?
Oh – and Merry and Pippin didn’t go to the undying lands. They went to Gondor to live out their lives. Aragorn stayed in Middle Earth as well. That was the whole point of Arwen staying with him – she gave up her chance. He decided to die when he felt the time was right (as his people could do) and she outlived him, eventually going to Lothlorien, which is now empty. She dies there. Legolas went cause he was an elf, Gimili was allowed to go as a friend of the elves, the only Dwarf EVER to go. Sam was allowed to go cause he was a ring bearer even for a short while. That ok?

(In no particular order)
1. G’Kar and Londo – a great double act, have to count them as one. I loved the bit where they were trapped in the lift together. Could be really funny but also quite touching.
2. Gizmo from Gremlins. He drove a car! He’s so cute! His spawn is evil! 😆
3. Wolverine. I’ve loved him since I was about 6. He’s just so cool. Plus he has the whole adamantium skeleton thing going on. Means he’s a New Romantic.
4. Buffy. Yes, I know, probably not cool but I really liked Buffy especially from Season 4 onwards. After she died she became really cool.
5. Ripley. According to a member of my family, she’s the coolest character EVER (not my words). And she allegedly had the best line in a movie ever – “Get away from her you bitch.”. And if I don’t vote for her I’ll be evicted!

Ooh…that’s a hard one!
I’d have to say (in no particular order):
1) The Gentlemen from Buffy (Hush). Just realy creepy!
2) The Master from Doctor Who. For some reason I always wanted him to win!
3) The Shadows from B5 – sneaky and underhanded. Perfect!
4) Scorpius from Farscape. Just because.
5) Mom from Futurama. That woman is great!
And since he’s no longer a villian, my award for best-guy-who-was-a-villian-but-he’s-better-now, goes to Spike from Buffy. I love that guy!

I like to watch Without a Trace (although Channel 4 showed the episodes out of order and missed some 🙄 ), Futurama, a lot of Anime, I LOVE Monty Python! Umm….my secret shame is watching Hey Arnold! on Nickelodeon 😳 .

My personal email address has been spam free for about 5 years but that’s only cos I sign up for very little – like here, a daily dilbert comic and Bill Bailey’s newsletter. That’s it.
My dad’s email got out somehow though…and it’s a nightmare. When you open up the email it get about 90 messages and they’re all spam. We did have a spam filter at one point but it kept deleteing ebay messages (real ones….not the “please put in your credit card number and pin number ones!).
If anyone here reads the Fortean Times, there is an article this month on a guy who thinks aliens are trying to contact us through spam 😯 . Why they want to attract us with “You won’t BELIEVE what these girls do!!!!!!!!!!!!” kind of messages nobody knows. 😕

Koyaanisqatsi and it’s (kind of) sequel Powwaqatsi are superb. There’s a fairly new one out as well called Naqoyqatsi, about globalisation and the modern world.

I’m new here, but a big B5 fan. I don’t know if this has been posted before, or even if it’s relevant but this is the word from JMS himself:
