Why do you need to set up another Sadboard account whilst away? Or did you mean another internet account? I use the same Headgehog account for like 9 computers. (I think I’m still logged into a few of em too!) Depending on where I am. One’s [ip] my primary for college and one’s for home. But there are a bunch of other machines and/or ips I use. I was wondering how much more crap you were gonna take fromthe server before taking a hammer to it. I don’t know how much help this may be to you, but some friends and I at school are setting up a web server when we all get back in January, if you need a lot of space or whatever let me know. Let warn forewarn you though, you’re gonna get ****ty bandwith in the evening (your time).

I agree about the scifi world midday marathons. I love a lot of the shows that they have on their. [i]Earth 2, Alien Nation, Space: Above and Beyond[/i], and [i] Sea Quest[/i] (first two seasons). But they never show Seaquest anymore. Unfortunatly they don’t always show good stuff duing that time slot. Some of those shows, cough [i]Black Scorpion[/i] cough, are hardly even worthy of me pressing the power button on my remote to turn the tv on.
But you are right about them cancelling scifi world, in another thread I mentioned that they’re discontinuing it, starting in the new year. As a mater of fact I think there’s only a few more of them left, because of holiday programming.As for EFC, that was a disaster waiting to happen. They gave it their death slot, nothing succeds there, and tried to advertise the hell out of it. But now since they spent too much money on it, they want to try to get some of it back, so they’re moving B5 to another time slot (bad) and putting EFC in its place.
As for [i]Farscape[/i], praise be, your wrong on that one! No showing of Farscape during January, and possibly all the way to April! Of course they’ll throw in a chain reaction somewhere in there, just to keep people interested.
Starting in January, they’ll be rerunning First Wave in its place. Which brings me to another point. They’ve rerunned two pirme shows, why not another? After the holidays I will be posting/proposing something about this.

No, no swelling or ice. Just lots of pain killers. I’m so out of it! I saw lotr last night, but I was so high through it, could barely keep my eyes open, but I rememebr it all though. As for the hedgehog part, yea I was putting up my spikes yesterday when I forgot to take my pain meds.

I think you’re seeing things that aren’t there. It’s a watering can. It doesn’t look a sexual organ, it looks like a watering can. That’s all it is. Nothing more, nothing less. And I think your perceiving it as a phallic symbol reveals more about your personal psychology than the intentions of the makers of the show.
Anything sex related in Lexx is intentional. ie the wall paper in Boomtown. As for the watering can, take a good [i]hard[/i] look at the noozle to the thing; then look down in the shower, you can’t honestly say that there is no resembelance.
While we’re on the topic of surgeries, I just got all 4 wisdom teeth yanked about 90 min ago. Expect me to be out of it for a few days.
Why the hell do we even grow these things, just to get em pulled anyway?

Yea Lexx fandom is mostly female. About 2/3 to 80% female. As for ages, it’s more middle aged then the 18-25 crowd.

I like how you have that posted in 2010 so I’d say keep it. You don’t ahve a flood control limit to worry about so it won’t mess you up. To get it off the top of the list, just post a reply to that post, after a new post it will disappear down the list like every other old thread. But in 9 years, it may resurface. But that would be nice, a reminder of this incident, seeing how many things really happened. Its a make-shift time capsule.

OK I got. Since you posted -9 years ago or 9 years in the future, gimmie a break I’m saving my last brain cell for my statics final, the board thinks you’ve already posted (from your current ip) recently. Because the time since your ip’s last post was <=250 seconds. Granted it negative seconds, but the programmer jsut assumed time travel won't happen. To post under from an ip, that posted in 2010, delete all your post from 2010. We tried to correct this by deleting all the 2010 posts and repsoting them, under our name though, but obviously a few were missed. I'd fix it here, but can only mess with the SG1 forum. Sorry and happy hunting for all your posts.

I have no idea when Farscape will resume its reruns. All I know comes from the scifi schedule bot. However I can tell you that Farscape will not be shown in January. (as of when I possted this) But the new Season will resume some time in March. I should also state that after scifi finishes up with the third season in a few days, it will NOT show the episodes again in sequencial order. So if your like me and missed an episode because of a momentary power outage that shut off the vcr and made you miss the last 50 min of the first ep whilst in class, or whatever, you won’t be able to see them again for a while. Instead Scifi will show the same epsiodes it always shows when they do a chain reaction. Eps like “Beware of Dog”,”DNA mad scientist”,and “Through the looking glass”
Mary Beth, I hope you raead my post about B5’s time switch. If not its moving to 4 cst in January. That may throw off your scheduling. It is for me, 5 mst was the perfect time for me, 3 mst will present a problem. Also according to rumor, this may be the last time for a while the scifi reruns the whole saga. In addition, if you record any scifi world shows, scifi world is ending this year.

SG-1 got to take an interesting idea to another level, and did a fine job doing so.
But, yeah, the series does win this battle in my view, the characters in the movie was kinda set up to make it seem that the Stargate would never be used again, and that the intention was never to make a sequel.
SG-1 really deserves credit aside from the movie, it really might as well be called the beginning of the Stargate adventures, and you might as well scrub the movie.
Looking back, it seems that SG-1 and the movie have little in common, apart from the character names, it’s kinda like comparing Independance Day to Star Wars!!!

Sorry I don’t have anything on UK dates. The SciFi UK site dosen’t have nearly as many options as the US site.
Both are great. The movie is much more realistic and over all believable. The series started off the same way. Sure they din’t play on the language barrier as much and Daniel’s allergy problem, but it was a great extension to the movie and even better then the movie itself.
The latest seasons don’t just concentrate on the G’ould arc any more and the show has grown. But imho it deviates a little to much occasionally.
If I had to pick one I’d have to pick the series. Its expanded on a great movie and the humor is better.quote:

I started thinking about the possiblilty of Fire and Water being heaven and hell halfway through Gondola. The reincarnations of dead characters was a good hint. Of course the great thought provoking diolague in Gondola made it pretty obvious imho. They were talking about what comes after death in that episode, good and evil, and other metaphysics stuff.
But the hints were there even before Gondola. In Boomtown, I thought to myself, “wow water seems like a great place, fire just sucks. Life is so simple and fun on water, whereas fire is a daily struggle to stay alive. Almost seems like heaven and hell.” I dismissed that idea then because I expected more form the heaven/hell of the Lexx universe. But by the next episode I figured it had to be heaven and hell based om their conversations.
