Hey, yeah! That’s a good idea. I’m all for it.

Stan, Xev, and Li’l’ Lexx in adventures with Prince, Priest, Bunny, and the pretty women with the fresh-smelling underwear.

An Insect Wars prequel is something entire dreamed up by fans and will never happen. It would mean writing a story that is serious, straightforward, epic, and not resembling Lexx in the slightest!

Kai in the Dead Zone? Oh, give me a break!

I respect your decision and leave it at that. But I would like to know the opinions of Blackie and theFrey. I may have recalled incorrectly, but I thought that one of the moderators wanted to catch him in the act of posting garbage and then quickly deleting it. I feel that bonnee views the aggrivation he causes on this board as some sort of game. And I don’t think that’s cool.

Yes, I suppose I baited him into it. But what I posted was inoffensive. It didn’t start out as a lure. I posted the first “sign” message, he immediatly replied, to my suprise. I could instantly see where it was going so I posted more street signs, knowing that no matter what I posted, he would take offence and challenge it. And he kept at it, obviously sitting on the refresh key, waiting for his next chance. I forsaw that he would eventually post something infuriating and offensive. And he did.

I’ve caught him the act, documented it, and that’s about all I can do. He’ll keep doing this again and again.

And for the record, I do think he’s ugly and his mother dresses him funny. I will stand by that claim.

(And now I return to my dungeon laboratory to finish my Xev creature– see SciFi Art forum.)

I’ve uploaded four very large JPEG images on my own website that are composites of screen-captures of the latter half of Fred’s thread. If you check the thread now, most of those posts have been deleted:
http://www.sadgeezer.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=4&t=000865

Of particular interest is the fourth JPEG below. It contains some of the more rude and offensive pictures. Bonnee, of course, quickly deleted them afterwards.
http://www.flamegrape.com/pic/bonneebust01.jpg
http://www.flamegrape.com/pic/bonneebust02.jpg
http://www.flamegrape.com/pic/bonneebust03.jpg
http://www.flamegrape.com/pic/bonneebust04.jpg

He may claim that I was egging him on, etc. That might be true, but all I was doing was posting pictures of street signs. I was laying breadcrumbs, knowing he would eat it up, trying to flush him out. It’s obvious he THRIVES on this, which is typical of troll behaviour. As with any tempremental troll, he surely interpreted the innocuous street signs in his own demented manner, taking predictible offence. And as sure as the sky is blue, he starts posting gross, offensive, and disturbing images. I think this is sick and intolerable. And after deleting my posts (after he deleted his), he took the predictible tack of taking the high moral ground.

Also, I want to bring up what he did over at Lexx.Com. At one point he posted an image of some naked gay guy with his dork tucked between his legs. (He kind of reminded me of Robin William’s housekeeper in The Bird Cage.) Under it he wrote, “This is what I pictured you looking like, Flamegrape.” Before I even had a chance to see this new post, people were already posting complaints and protests about it. Needless to say, he deleted the post. He does this tactic again, and again, and again!

Also note a certain thread in Lexx Episodes forum titled, “Screw You All!!!”:
http://www.sadgeezer.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=5&t=000323

After what has happened, it’s fairly obvious who posted it.

This jerk needs to be banned. He’s been rude and abusive– and then apologizes– too many times.

-Nymph (what you call the young form of an insect that resembles a smaller version of the adult)

-Logos (the Greek equivalent of the Latin “lex”)

-Lexxide (son of the Lexx)

Anyone else have an opinion?

The only name used onscreen for the flying angler-cicada-pollywog is “little Lexx” (the old Lexx was 10 kilometers long, whereas I’ve determined the new Lexx to be between 120 meters and 3.3 kilometers, small by comparison).

I don’t think either Stan or Xev would have any awareness of Latin, Greek, or entomology. If anything, they would continue calling it Li’l’ Lexx or maybe Lexx Junior.

I’ve got a possibly interesting news story. The SciFi Channel has been sold to Vivendi, a French company. It seems to me that this is big news. The Story is HERE

How do I post news articles? Or is that Hedgehog’s job? I don’t know. No biggie.

That’s why I started work on her season 2 costume first. From there, all I have to do is subtract geometry to get her season 3 and season 4 costume. The abdomen geometry is no problem.

So, does my model of her face LOOK right?

Well, I’ve noticed that most people get killed on Lexx. For example, in Haley’s Comet, I knew that everyone would get killed. It was a question of how.

One of the basic themes of Lexx is control of the most powerful weapon in the universe. And the easiest way to do that is to kill the key-bearer. Naturally the plots revolve around death. And since Prince is death, then his role in the show makes sense.

Final Fantasy has got to be the most beautifully rendered, exquisitly animated, visually amazing worthless piece of crap every to be smeared across the silver screen! The ads for it looked astounding and I had looked forward to seeing it. I’m a computer artist and I know the golden rule of animation: the script has first priority, then animation second. In this case, they not only failed to follow this all-important rule, it was as if they put the writers in an iron maiden and dictated their agony! God, was I disappointed. Wonderful graphics cannot possibly cover up a worthless plot and irritating dialogue. It is like one big, long videogame cutscene that never ends and there’s no game control button to press and skip it. Oh wait, there’s the stop button on the VCR. I have not been able to finish watching this flick… and I’ve tried THREE times. It is, without a doubt, the Waterworld of computer animated movies. It is an atrocity that rightly failed at the box office and resulted in that production company’s abandoment of the animated movie industry. The Smurfs and the Magic Flute is a far better animated film.

However, if you turn the sound off and play some cool music instead, it’s a wonderful movie.

Is it possible to get sick of looking at Xenia Seeberg pretty face? I may have reached that point. (*GASP*)

I’ve been working for days, trying to get Xev’s face looking right. I feel I’m so close, yet so far! I’ve got the texture maps down for her “season 2 look”, with her red-blonde hair style.

I’m no longer sure what’s wrong with it. See if you can tell me. In any case, I think I need to get away from it for a while and then return to it. Maybe she’ll look better once I attach the head to the body.

I think I’ve been dealing with it by creating fan artwork. If I weren’t doing that, I think I would be a bit more depressed. But I’m INSPIRED! The ending left so many possibilities open! Later, I want to start writing a fan fic that continues where the last episode leaves off.

Anyway, take a look at the Xev 3d videogame model I’ve been working on in the SciFi fan artowrk forum here on SadBoard.

It’s amazing that no one has wondered about the placement of Oberon in the scheme of things. Didn’t it suggest to anyone other than myself that Oberon, Prince, and HDS might be somehow related on some hyper-dimensional alien magic-being sort of loopy way? No one wondered about that?

Maybe there are other beings like that in the Dark Zone. Good spinoff material. The return of Oberon and Titania! More gay humor! Just for the fans! Heeheeheeheeheehee!

The movies felt like movies, big and done with interest, the storyline was magnificent and reminiscent of Star Wars, they were truly groundbreaking.
Then we went into the series, and that feel from the movies was lost, but Lexx still had enough in it to make it interesting, but the movies was the hook for many.
S3 had some great moments, but they went hand in hand with some truly cheap looking and bizarrely written eps, but there was still a freshness in it and Lexx still had something to offer.
S4 had moved completely away from what we saw in the movies, choosing comedy over it’s initial nature, unfortunately for a sci-fi programme this format was doomed to failure.
If there is a spin-off then both the elements of the movies and the comedy needs to be combined seemlessly, if it can’t that then it also will be doomed to failure.
Although I admire the beans for doing what they wanted, it worked against the wishes of many fans who wanted Lexx to stand proud.
Newbies were obviously confused about what Lexx was, seeing a midsummers nights dream must have been awful for a newbie, I can imagine them thinking that if this was what Lexx had to offer then I’d rather give it a miss, but had they seen Vlad or IWHS, then they’d be hooked.
Trouble is, they wouldn’t stay hooked for long, as too many of S4’s eps were not for them, but for the die-hard Lexx fans that knew what to expect.
You have to have a deep understanding of the beans and Lexx to get it, too many new people to the show obviously lost patience, I know as my brother just gave up mid-season, where as I stuck with Lexx…but there were many eps that did make me cringe.
I’ll truly miss Lexx, but it comes as no surprise that it did not get the ratings, but I don’t think the beans really cared or worried about that, it would seem that they were happy to give the true Lexx fans one last serving.
So at the end of the day, we can only point the finger at the people who started it, but then they gave us so much to begin with, it’s difficult to criticise them.
All in all, they let the series go, they should have taken longer to do S4, do a bit of research to see where Lexx was at it’s strongest and return to that…but we all knew the answer, take us back to the movies and recapture the magic.

BULLOCKS!

Season 4 was brilliant. The Beans outdid themselves.

You’re conservative and just didn’t like the change. “Worked against the wishes of the fans”, indeed! How arrogant! How can you presume that you know the opinions of all the fans? I may have been one of the only people praising season 4 on this board (to the point of getting disgusted and boycotting) but as soon as the last episode aired, TONS of fans came crawling out of the woodwork over at Lexx.Com. And that means there had to have been hundreds of others who loved season four and just did not get as far as seeking out a message board.

LEXX has ALWAYS been about making fun of certain types of people, traditions, and unreasonable hang-ups. It’s just that in the fourth season they got to the point. The Earth sucks and if it came down to it, we would destroy ourselves.

And if people were introduced to LEXX via Midsummer’s Nightmare, how do YOU know they didn’t like it? There were probably tons of people who recognized Battersea power station from the Pink Floyd album cover or what it means to the English in general (a symbol of decay) or at the bery least the irony of it’s location used for a druid cerimony. You were probably just turned off by the homosexual antics or the stupid singing trees and can’t get over it.

That’s the beauty of LEXX. There are all these elements blended together. Fairy-stories, horror, space-opera, goth, porno, corruption, satire, etc., etc. There’s something there for everyone.

And from here on out it’s excelsior.

Dying is an absurd thing. I’ve always been a big proponent on the existential themes of Lexx. Even posted a thread on it, nobody replied. Basically I thought it was a recurring theme: no matter how smart or dumb a character is, no matter how brave or cowardly, they still die. Sometimes because of thier tragic flaws, other times just because. Some examples. Simplified, of course. This is off the top of my head.
Tragic Flaw:
Your people(Yo Way Yo). Too trusting.
Lomea(twilight). Her concentration on the short term.
Moss(Moss): Hate and paranoia.
Haley(Haley’s Comet):insecurity.
Guys in Wake the Dead: Overconfidence

Just because:
Joseph Van Helsing(Vlad).Doesn’t believe in vampires. Killed by one.
DJ in End of the Universe-wrong place at the wrong time

B-b-b-b-b-b-but those were just “filler” episodes”… right? Y-y-y-you mean those “useless” episodes were actually expanding upon a theme? Blinded by hero-Kai and his story, could we have… *gasp* overlooked something?

*theFrey wanders away whistling, as the cable modem/dsl droolers start to howl in the distance.*

If it wasn’t for Xev, I wouldn’t have gotten hooked on this show!

(Now back to work on my Xev videogame player model…!)

The scene with Priest and Bunny in the Jet fighter was priceless! It made me laugh extra loud! Rolf and all the rest did a marvelous job!

I think all the Kai-droolers should write a 10,000-line poem dedicated to Kai.

Why not move this discussion to another thread. Like in the Pub, maybe? Not exactly Lexx-related.

The Lexx is male. So obviously the little dragonfly in Dutch Treat was female and laid an egg. And now Li’l’ Lexx is born and it seems to be female.

This opens up tons of possibilities! Why not a whole race of Lexxes?
