Another very well done review Headge.
(don’t push yourself too hard to get reviews out “on time” ๐Ÿ˜€ the episodes’ll still be there if you’re “late”)

    Hoo-kay, here’re my choices:

10.Unicron: TFormers Movie (how can you *not* love a giant robotic planet that eats other planets?)

9.Nebulon b frigate: Star Wars (I don’t quite know why, but this ship is just…the archetype of what I like my ships shaped like…perhapse mister Freud would’ve had something to say about that? ๐Ÿ˜ณ )

8.Miranda class: Star Trek (It’s all about the saucer section baby!)

7.Warlock Battlecruiser: B5 (It just looks so much more purposeful/dynamic than the Omega)

6.Sulaco: Aliens (pretty much the same as the Warlock…but with some “excitingly chunky” bits)

5.PK Vigilant: Farscape (It looks like it could go pretty fast if it wanted to…)

4.Shadow Battlecrab: B5 (’cause who dosn’t love ’em?)

3.Britannia II: Lensman movie (gaah, just friggan cool man!! AND computer generated!)

2.Zentraedi Thuverl Salan cruiser: Macross/Robotech (The most well balanced Zentraedi ship in the fleet…and it has that cool looking twin engine thing going for it too)

1.Minbari Tinashi cruiser: B5 (It’s sleek, but not too sleek, it has cool looking protrusions, but not obnoxious looking/overly long/big ones, and it just…looks cool…)

Okay, now that I understand that this is all supposed to be good fun…

You could always run around shouting that the Executor was really only 9 kilometers long, or that the DSII was only 160 k in diameter, just to get a rise out of some of the ultra pedantic fans.

Uhh…I’m not very good at this…

And that Triumph bit was hilarious (err…at least I hope that that one was the one I’ve seen heh heh ๐Ÿ˜ณ ) , but that guy dressed as Vader should have pointed to one of the buttons on his outfit after being asked “Which of these buttons calls your mom to pick you up?”…I would’ve been rolling on the floor if he had done that.

From what I understand it isn’t an important role, just one scene, with Tarkin standing beside Vader and Palpatine, he dosn’t even have any lines…

And I thought that the title of the thread made it fairly obvious that there would be spoilers.

Err…pardon me if I’m asking a stupid question, but where is this coming from? Do Lexxians suddenly hate Warsies and Trekkies, or have I just not been paying close enough attention?

What I guess I’m getting at is: Why does the Lexx community (or at least you guys in this thread…’cause I’m slightly clueless about Lexx itsself… ๐Ÿ˜† ) feel the need to lower themselves to the level of the die-herd Trekkies/Warsies who CONSTANTLY bash eachother’s franchises?

    Err…I hope that I didn’t just ramble on about nothing there…I just…take issue with the whole “OMFG MY SH0W C4N 707411Y PWN Y0UR 5UCKY SHOWS 455!!!!1111oneoneelevenshiftone” mentality… ๐Ÿ˜†

    Arthur C. Clarke

Well known for nonfiction science writing and for early promotion of the effort toward space travel, his fiction was often grand and visionary.

I saw it. Uhh…but, like most things in my life, I have very little to say that is coherant. So, I’ll just stick to stuff like this:

I loved Harvey’s death scene. It was so funny to me, that I allmost fell out of my chair(which would have been bad as the floor was concrete). The story was good. The acting excellent, and the special E-ffects were right up there with most summer blockbuster Sci-fi movies. I still wonder how the story would have played out if the Farscape had been allowed to continue though.

I too think that almost all the changes George made to the original Star Wars trilogy were good. At least they finally removed the red mat from behind that tie fighter in “A New Hope”.

But they could have used the song that they originally wanted to use in ROTJ. Even though it was very disco-esque, “Lapti Nek” is just…well…better than the new song they put in.

As for the new movies however…nnrrr…they just went overboard with the CGI shit…

Yah, I just found that out for myself. In the .bmp version(which I only just now downloaded) you can see text at the bottom reading “Original Artwork by Lionel “Kyousuke” Lum C. 1996. This poster was sepecialy commissioned for Anime Expo’s fifth anniversary.”

So yeh, I was pretty wrong about when this was made (oh-ho-ho-ho-ho).

The Catbus is from “Tonari no Totoro” or “My Neighbor Totoro”, by Hayo Miyazaki.

And I don’t think you will find characters from anything very recent in this. As far as I can tell this was drawn in either the early 90s or late 80s so yeh’.

But I did find the cast of Macross and Macross 7, as well as the cast of Gunbuster, a small sampling of the cast of The Five Star Stories(they take up the third lowest row), and a lot of charactors from Masamune Shirow’s stuff, and Captain Harlock and Maetell and the Galaxy Express and Space Battleship Yamato!

I still don’t understand WHY they make so many movies. It seems like every week there’s a new “Island of the Lost Snakehead-Anaconda-Raptor-Bees…uh…FROM SPACE!!…vs Cobra” geez, I mean, how do they manage to NOT lose money with those?

I mean! GAA, the whole reason we ferkn’ wanted the Sci-fi channel was so we could see Farscape! Then about half a month after we get the ferkn’ thing, they decide to cancle it! GAAH!

Yah, I’ve seen it. It’s a…fun show. The animation is superb, and the music rocks MY socks(woo, Pillows).

The story however is kind of…non-existent. Well, there IS a story, just not much of one. The problem is that the people who made FLCL(Studio Gainax) meant the show to be a kind of joke(but then again, most of the stuff they’ve made was supposed to be a joke).

Most of what happens in FLCL is exactly what it looks like. The joke about it is that it seems like there is a lot more to it.

I would have watched it, but all the previews were making it out to be a serious interview. I wasn’t taken by that, but the only reason I wanted to see it was to see if they would claim that Shyamalan was an unbrakeable/alien/werewolf/ghost/whatever, which would have been hilarious. Ah well.

Yeah, SCI-FI USA (well, all of it really, but I live in the US so…) is really dim when it comes to their programing. I still don’t understand why The Hunter is better than either Quantum Leap, or Babylon 5 (which they don’t seem to have on their schedule anymore).

Nor do I understand why they can’t just save their money for something good. I mean, did ANYONE think that the Boa/Python/Skeeter/Rattler/Spider/Gopher/Caterpiller/Crap/More Crap movies were anything but crap?

    Ho-kay, here’s my list.

    5: Britaii (Robotech/Macross)

I know he was evil fer most of the show but, I tend to have a thing for the honorable villan-turned-hero.

    4: G’kar (B:5)

This guy almost qualified as a villan for the first part of the series. But by the end he had become just about as heroic as you could want.

    3: Sam Lawery (Brazil)

Yeah, I really feel sorry for the guy. And I wish that his life had turned out better for him.

    2:Pilot/Moya (Farscape)

They are just so…spiff-tastic. (wow, that was crappy)

    1: Nausicaa (Nausicaa…)

Uhh, can’t think of an interesting (or cohereant) way to say that she is just so cool that stuff is things and yeah. ๐Ÿ˜•

Wow, reading through everyones answers made me realize just how littel sci-fi I’ve seen. But I have seen enough to make this post thankfully.

5: Tie: Captain Black (Cap’n Scarlet), or The Master (From Fallout…what? It was sci-fi.)

Both of these people were compleat idiots in their own special way. But even so they still managed to be just about as evil as evil can be.

Captain black, was a moron, who opened fire (and why was that rover thing armed?) on the mysteron base on…was it supposed to be Mars?, and was swiftly brainwashed (err, mysteronized or whatever), and got evil…and…stuff.

The Master was a former doctor in the post-nuclear holocaust southern California. Who, after being dunked in a vat of mutagenic sludge, became a horrid mind devouering blob, intent on creating a new “perfect” society of genetically enhanced super humans. Too bad that almost all of his “super” humans were dumb as bricks, fourty five times as ugly, and completely sterile. Way to go doc’!

4: Geltz (Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy)

A stubborn ass, who ended up destroying every last Earth in all of existence, just to keep the professions of psychiatry and philosophy from extinction.

    3: Bester (B:5)

Yeah, bester was an ass. And unlike Captain Black or The Master, Bester was NOT a moron(and a telepath ta’ boot).

2: Grand Moff Tarken (Star Wars:4)

While not having any special ability, Tarken was a cold, calculating, and all around cruel. After all, he did order the destruction of two planets without hesitation(one of them , just to make a point to someone who he had ordered executed a few moments before).

    1: SHODAN (System Shock1&2)

This A.I. saw its self as a goddess and first tried to kill all life on earth, then re-populate the barren planet with an artificially created slave race that SHODAN saw as worthy to be its servants. Roughly fourty years later, SHODAN took over a starship equipped with a prototype hyperdrive and, using the reality warping qualitys of said drive, attempted to reshape the entire universe.

So, yeah. That’s what I think…shut up…I just suck is all.
