TranceGemini613Participant
Thank you! 🙂 I’ve been going a little bit nuts with this; my fanfic is very time-sensitive (in that the events have already been written for a certain timeline, and if Mulder had started in the X-Files in 1991 I quite literally would’ve had to abandon the fic).
If anyone wants to read it, I’ll stick up the first chapter or so on my blog and link it.
TranceGemini613ParticipantThanks for the warm re-welcome, everyone! I will most certainly wander over to tne fanfic section with story in digital hand…I only have a few chapters so far, hope I can post periodically, because I write in spurts (I work a lot and don’t always feel the urge to write when I get home).
Do you like my new icon? I made it myself and I’m insanely proud of it, so please, I’m fishing for compliments here! 😛
Hugs,

TranceGemini613ParticipantLemme guess, naked picture of Kate Beckinsale?
Women with no body fat aren’t attractive kthx.
The movie had so little plot I almost gave it a sweater to keep it warm…personally, I found so many plot holes I was worried I’d fall through one and it might begin to make sense.
Just my two cents, IMHO, etc. 😉
Hi folks.
TranceGemini613ParticipantMore info pls? I mean, can you link us to something for Dragon*Con? And I’d like to go, where does it take place?
(…says the poor girl who can barely go to I-CON, which is fifteen minutes from her house, hehe…)
Thx
P.S. Dr. #5 is my favorite Dr. Who of ALL TIME! I mean, c’mon–Nyssa, Adric and Teegan–he had THE BEST COMPANIONS OF ALL TIME!
TranceGemini613ParticipantPrincess Leia
A strong-willed herald of causes against injustice, you passionately strive to right the wrongs around you.
Somebody has to save our skins!
Leia is a character in the Star Wars universe. See her character entry at the Star Wars Databank for more information.
Snootch to the nootch, I totally realized that there wasn’t an option for Trance Gemini…cuz I would’ve been it…so instead I came up as Princess Leia.
(Side note: I am Trance Gemini…everyone who’s met me online and later IRL agrees, “You’re just like her! I mean, SO MUCH IT’S CREEPY!” Hehehe…so I am a living anime character! W00t!)
TranceGemini613ParticipantOH SWEET JESUS THAT IS WRONG…
…Unrelated, I definitely did see it and definitely did like it. Catherine and Phil (my friends who went with me) said they read the books and it made more sense if you did.
Jude Law–DROOL.
TranceGemini613Participant60.17759% geeky…wow…I feel like I’ve reached the pinnacle of my existence.
How sad is that??!!
I like meeting people online…
Ya know what’s really scary? I’m only 21, and female…it really turns heads when I say “D-10” or “Ephraim Cochrane”…yay?
::Starts chant:: Go geeks go geeks go geeks go geeks!!!…
TranceGemini613ParticipantNAIVE POST
Cordwainer Smith (Paul M.A. Linebarger)
This inimitably unique storyteller created a future with so many deep layers of history that all the world we know is practically lost in it.Who tha monkey is this dude?
…Where can I find some of his shizzle to read?
TranceGemini613ParticipantBah you’re all like well-seasoned Benden wine…older than I am but not nearly as tart 😉 (Hah, tart, double-meaning!)
I never had a closet out of which to come.
Greasemonkey, bisexual, Trekker, sci-fi/fantasy geek, otaku…I was raised to be all but bi, and that one was like, oh-so-apparent (at least to my friends, hehe)…I’ve always sort of reveled in it…
…Though as a reasonably un-ugly femmegeek I do get some strange looks whenever I ask people where to get some gaming dice around these parts. “D-10’s? No one? Anyone? Any comic stores in the area? I’m looking for an Ultimate X-Men comic…”
^ ^ Ah, it’s nice to be the pretty once for once!!!
So yeah, I’m loud and proud…as I show up and VOLUNTEER for cons…I attend at least two to three a year…bah, FEMMEGEEKS UNITE!
TranceGemini613ParticipantI am encouraging young Americans everywhere to write me in on their ballots. Nevermind that I’m only 20 and my platform would be “A fresh alternative to grumpy old Christian men who can’t do dick shit to help the country!”
^ ^
But since I’m a bit young and unsupported, I’ll have to vote Nader. Cuz he’s neither Bush NOR Kerry.
TranceGemini613Participant^ Best post in the history of posts, ever, anywhere in the Galaxy.
<333 Logan
TranceGemini613ParticipantAre you serious? (Sirius?!) (/bad puns from Kitty)
I’m dying to see it; hope to see it soon with my friends Liz and Laura; taking my lil sister to Shrek 2 tomorrow b/c she won’t watch the HP movies…she thinks they’re miscast cuz Hermione is pretty and Ron isn’t right she says…she’s weird…
Anyway, I hear it’s amazing. I’m on tentacils till I see it.
TranceGemini613ParticipantHear hear
I keep not being able to get email because I get SO MUCH FRIKKIN SPAM!!! ARRRRGHHH!!!!
TranceGemini613ParticipantThanks, and goodnight nurse
TranceGemini613ParticipantSPAM, it’s pink and it’s oval
SPAM, I buy it at the Mobil
SPAM, it’s made in Chernobyl,
SPAM! ^ ^ Hey, guys, I spammed, lookie!TranceGemini613ParticipantI swear, if Zaphod sings a love song to Trillian and Arthur is a talking anteater…Disney will SUFFER.
And Marvin’d better be voiced by my best friend–who’s English and sounds just like ’em! ^ ^
All in all, however, I’m gonna trust this Karey person. FOR NOW. One misstep and I will drag his ass down to Atlantis and anchor him there.
TranceGemini613ParticipantYa know what? The X-Files really hurt, circa THE MOVIE. Now, I understand that Chris Carter’s real challenge was to make a movie that could double as a summer action blockbuster…but he did such a piss-poor job of it. Then again, once the show moved production to LA, he went, “Wellp, we can afford really good-looking extras now, and we’re not going to use the same five people over and over again…so here ya go, other writers, I’ve got other (albeit bad) shows to pretend to produce!” And the movie reflects the part where he really wasn’t trying.
The movie makes no sense within the story arc, yet Carter still tried to make it part of the mythology in order to hold the hardcore Philes.
Newsflash, we’re SO not happy with the film! At least, my other Philean friends agree…good effort, but still too little, too late. I could have written a better movie–and I was fourteen when it came out.
^ ^ That’s my rant.
I don’t know when TNG went bad; I was like ten when it ended and I watched it dutifully. I was raised a Trekker.
Andromeda went bad when they took her tail and made her gold. ‘Nuff said. ^ ^ /hardcore TG fan
TranceGemini613ParticipantApparently, he’s very popular in Germany.
…Yeah, that about covers his fan base.
Hasselhoff+music=SATAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I personally hope, in the name of all that is good, musical and holy, that Jimi Hendrix’s ghost comes to bash Hasselhoff over the head with a Stratocaster. Really.
TranceGemini613ParticipantHi other n00bs!
I would never have read the Guide if it wasn’t for my (English) best friend…he wouldn’t stop nagging me until I read it…and its subsequent sequels…Argh, love it! ^^ It’s so funny. And it’s so English. Jim Carrey would need to learn to do a really REALLY good English accent before I’d let him touch the role of Zaphod, guys…
So yeah…uhm…I need food still…better go eat…yeah…
TranceGemini613ParticipantWell, I was generally referring to the benchmark set by humans as this is the only way we have to gauge sentience. If we were to interact with another species, we could change our definitions. We are limited by what we know (and know to find…) and cannot think outside of our box with no perception of HOW outside thinking is to be done.
Now I’m getting geeky AND grammatically correct.
TranceGemini613ParticipantYeah, they sent me a really pretty, engraved silver fishbowl. I use it to keep my Babelfish in when I’m at home…I do like dolphins…
^^
TranceGemini613ParticipantI missed that one
But I darned well feel bad for a lava lamp who has to live under a black robe…
::Single emo tear::TranceGemini613ParticipantThey’re back! I knew they didn’t mean to leave me behind!
…Darn.
Anyway…
I think that humans are arrogant for thinking that they are the only sentient species in the universe…but then again…maybe UFO’s’re just birds who flew too close to nuclear test sites.
Who knows?
21st May 2004 at 12:25 am in reply to: Why is all the best sci-fi tv on at the crappest times? #68095TranceGemini613ParticipantBecause my VCR is broken and Sci Fi doesn’t know that SOME OF US WORK ON FRIDAY NIGHTS, I have to stay up till 3 am on Sunday night/Monday early morn to watch Andromeda. Ooh, the pain.
Sci Fi needs a swift kick in the tail for their airtimes. WTF MATE?!! I’d kick their tails but uhm…I’m too far away and I’m also small.
