Firefly: S01E11 & 12: Serenity

Pretty good I thought. If it had been allowed to air it would have stopped many sci fi geeks like myself wondering if the series would be as crappy as the first episode! In the end, the pilot set the scene very well.

Babylon 5: Character Bios: Londo Mollari

Of all the characters in the series, I feel most affinity for Londo Mollari.  He is played exceptionally well by Peter Jurasik and is probably marginally ahead of Ivanova as being the wittiest of the Babylon 5 characters.  He has certainly got... Read more

Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy: Cultures: Golgafrinchams

The Golgafrinchams are a cool bunch with a hoopy history. Everything else about them is actually boring. They are a little stupid, pompus and almost extinct.

Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy: Cultures: Vogons

Vogons are one of the most unpleasant, ugly, artistically incompetent and nauseatingly priggish races in the universe. They aren’t actually evil as such, but if you ever wanted to get a lift from one, for instance, FORGET IT!

Babylon 5: Character Bios: Marcus Cole

Marcus Cole is one of my favourite characters, not just because he’s a Brit, but because he’s a bit wacky. The part is played so well by Jason Carter that I suspect he isn’t acting very much. Nevertheless, I cringe at some of... Read more

Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy: Science: Infinite Improbability Drive

This is the latest way of travelling through space without out the need for all that tedious jumping in and out of hyperspace. The principal of generating finite amounts of improbability are so bloody obvious that I wont go into them here.

Website Introduction...

SadGeezer Profile lasereyesThis is a fansite archive for the best TV and movie, game and book science fiction had to offer. It is not maintained as regularly as I would like but you are welcome to browse and hang out.

If you like innovative, intelligently written sci fi with lots of 'gratuitous', you will most certainly enjoy the recommendations found in the reviews at Sci Fi SadGeezers.

This is a not for profit fansite and it may even be slightly and unintentionally offensive.

Alas, we can't avoid spammers and so you aren't able to register to post in the forums, but please feel free to browse as much as you like. The forums contain posts from fans of classic sci fi shows predominently at the time they were aired - and before the moronic drivvel that is found in social media fansites (mainly :) ) - this is, after all, one of the oldest and most established cult sci fi fansites in the world with over 2,000 detailed episode reviews and 40,000+ forum posts. Some are over twenty years old!

Sci Fi SadGeezers logoAlthough I can only post when I have time, I'll try and post reviews of worthy shows as soon as I can.

The menu bar above helps you navigate the latest posts on News, TV Shows, Anime, Movie, Book and Games reviews. Next, we have the Sci Fi SadCasts that were produced a few years ago and clicking on the Guides link will take you to a structured menu of all our review content (some of the reviews are from the 1990's!). We're also re-engineering the infamous Sci Fi Purity Tests for fun and silliness.

Hopefully you will find something you like. I sincerely hope so.

Cool Quotes

Science fiction is the most important literature in the history of the world, because it’s the history of ideas, the history of our civilization birthing itself. …Science fiction is central to everything we’ve ever done, and people who make fun of science fiction writers don’t know what they’re talking about.

— Ray Bradbury
