Demon Lord, Retry! – Review – Episode 2

Demon Lord, Retry! – Review – Episode 2

This is the second episode of the anime reviewed last week (Demon Lord, Retry! – Review – Episode 1) and I still don’t hate it but the next show will have to be special to give a thumbs up recommendation to you.  This weeks episode is called “Golden Luna.”

Isekai Cheat Magician – Review – Episode 1

Isekai Cheat Magician – Review – Episode 1

The first episode is called, Lost Ones from Another World and once you got the hang of it, the show was ok.  This is a show which I will definitely apply the three watch rule before deciding if it’s worth viewing to the end of the series.

Swamp Thing – Review – Episode 1

Swamp Thing – Review – Episode 1

The first show was really good, a little slow moving (as voiced numerous times by members of the family as we watched) and some of the acting was a pretty poor and hammed up, but it was definitely watchable and I am definitely watching more.

Cop Craft – Review – Episode 1

Cop Craft – Review – Episode 1

Before watching I was frightened that it could be a silly fan-service, crime flirtation full of girly blushes and macho stupidity – all knickers and guns. I was pleasantly surprised.  The two main leads were equals in every respect, both with clear personalities and motivations and completely different cultures. It was over in what seemed like 5 minutes.

The Ones Within – (Naka no Hito Genome) – Review – Episode 1

The Ones Within – (Naka no Hito Genome) – Review – Episode 1

We weren’t allowed to see anything other than their two dimensional personas which seemed flat and shallow. I found myself not caring of any of them managed to accomplish the levelling exercise or not. I guess the over the top nice dude with the allergies was just about tolerable, but …. naa not really, he was a just a limp dick where as all the others were just dickheads.

God Emperor of Dune?

God Emperor of Dune?

Alas, the news is, that despite my searches, I have still yet to confirm any production or development of a movie or TV series for God Emperor of Dune.

Fire Force – Review – Episode 1

Fire Force – Review – Episode 1

The show was great, it it hadn’t been for the stoopid whiny, overly dramatic bit from the middle to the end, the show would have been much better and appealed to older fans and not just teens.

Dr Stone – Review – Episode 1

Dr Stone – Review – Episode 1

This first episode was really good.  Well produced, I’m not impressed by the style of animation but it was ok I guess, voice acting excellent and story was good too.  Overall cool/fun/sexy factor was high too.  I’m probably going to watch each episode of this series judging from the first episode (I know it’s too early to tell yet, but this is that good).

Stranger Things Season 3 – Review – Episode 1

Stranger Things Season 3 – Review – Episode 1

Pretty good. opening to the season. The writers, Matt and Ross Duffer have done a great job of developing the characters of the main cast and bringing in a couple of others.  I’m keen to see how these will interact with the ‘gang’.

Demon Lord, Retry! – Review – Episode 1

Demon Lord, Retry! – Review – Episode 1

The show was watchable and personally I like OP (over-the-top-powerful-and-almost-freakin’-indestructible) game player stories where they get sucked into their own game (jeez, hasn’t anyone dreamed of that!)

Kanata no Astra – Review – Episodes 1 & 2

Kanata no Astra – Review – Episodes 1 & 2

This is a great show, the graphics are great, it’s set in space and space sure feels vast and intimidating.  The character design is good with clear personalities capable of displaying a broad range of emotions and reactions all acted by excellent voice actors. There are elements of drama, comedy and suspense.

Stranger Things is coming! July 4th

Stranger Things is coming! July 4th

The third series of Stranger Things is on it’s way to us and will get here on July 4th 2019.  It looks really good and a little bleak and crazy (just the way we like it)!  Sure the guys are a little more grown up but they also still remain full on geeky.

Red Dwarf: Characters: Talkie Toaster

Red Dwarf: Characters: Talkie Toaster

Talkie Toaster is a monstrously cool mechanical devise used for making toast. Innocent enough, you might think, but the Red Dwarf Toaster will drive you completely bonkers by continually asking, “Would you like some toast?”

Red Dwarf: Characters: Kochanski

Red Dwarf: Characters: Kochanski

Kochanski was Red Dwarf’s navigation officer but, to Lister’s dismay, he learns that she died in the first episode.
