FlamegrapeParticipant
Okay, me and Tennessee Tim are going to go see it this afternoon. I’ll let you know what I think without spoiling it for anyone.
FlamegrapeParticipantI heard that National Public radio gave it a poor review. I haven’t seen it yet.
FlamegrapeParticipant

ah the return of the technobabble. Wish I didn’t understand it so I could take the rip :(
I’m getting lots of cool stuff!! Not only is there Kin Dza Dza, but I also have just managed to get the classic, ‘Fantastic Planet’ which is terrific! I hope to make all this available through my home server if possible.
Oh, that’s a good one! Veeeeeery weeeeeeeeird! Love it. I picked that up on laserdisc about five or six years ago. It has english and french soundtracks, but it’s all subtitled no matter what (laserdisc technology). I want to get it on DVD soon.Lightyears is another good animated sci-fi cult classic. I only bought that one on videotape.
Fire & Ice, anyone? I dubbed that, I think. I might have bought it. I can’t remember, it’s been a while.
FlamegrapeParticipantI think I will set up a Hotmail server so that people can upload/download the movie directly from my computer. I’ll set it up with a password this weekend. The Hotmail program is no longer available or supported by it’s creators, but thousands of people still use it. I’ll post an installer on my website this weekend too.
I tried looking for it on the newsgroup. But my newsgroup programs only lists new posts from the last 2 hours only! Unless I check the newsgroup every ten minutes, I’ll miss it when it’s posted. UNLESS there’s something I missed or don’t understand about newsgroup programs. I don’t use them very much… unless it’s alt.binaries.slack.
FlamegrapeParticipantUnfortunately, I just checked that newsgroup. They only had items listed that were submitted in the last couple of hours. Should I be using a newsgroup program other than Outlook Express?
I tried WinMX and I found a couple Kin-dza-dza video files. They look really large, around 730 MB. One of them looks like it might had cyrillic characters that my computer can’t read. They both had really long download queues. I’ll keep trying.
FlamegrapeParticipantHey, Tony! Is the second half of the movie available for download straight from the internet like you did with the first part? I can look for it on the newsgroup, but I’d like to download the second part the same way I downloaded the first part.
Still haven’t seen it! I wanted to wait until I got the entire movie on my computer. Then I was going to transfer it to videotape so my friends could watch it.
FlamegrapeParticipantThey are just notoriously flakey. Lloyd said that all the Lexx actors want to go, etc. Just not much word back from DragonCon. I have faith that things will come through for us all.
FlamegrapeParticipantIf they only had anal-probing carrots, then the episode would have been perfect!
😉FlamegrapeParticipantI have heard that Patricia Zentilli (Bunny) and Louise Wischermann (Lyekka) will be there too.
FlamegrapeParticipantI think I know how to solve the problem. I’ll email you later.
FlamegrapeParticipantI think it talks about how the great Egyptian age was but a remnant of the Atlantian culture. The antediluvian kings colonised the world. All the Gods who play in the mythological dramas in all legends from all lands were from fair Atlantis. Knowing her fate, Atlantis sent out ships to all corners of the Earth. On board were the Twelve: The poet, the physician, the farmer, the scientist, the magician and the other so-called Gods of our legends.
FlamegrapeParticipantHere’s a good one:
“Shaking Hands with the enemy,” Iraqi President Saddam Hussein greets Donald Rumsfeld, then special envoy of President Ronald Reagan, in Baghdad on December 20, 1983.
FlamegrapeParticipantHappy birthday!
As I recall, DT790 started attending college in the fall of 2002. Perhaps that has kept him busy. Maybe we’ll hear from him during the summer holiday.
FlamegrapeParticipantThat sounds fine to me. I was just wondering. I don’t know much about deep, technical website issues. I’m better with webpage graphic design.
Is it possible to redesign the pages so that the videos do not open in a separate window? I had no idea that you didn’t use frames. I thought I had designed the pages so that they would easily integrate into SadGeezer.Com.
Perhaps a good idea will occur to me. It just seems a little awkward-looking right now.
FlamegrapeParticipantThe pages look cool!
However, the RealOne videos appear in a separate window. There shouldn’t be a need for that, I think. Can’t the videos play within the top frame of the interview page itself?
❓FlamegrapeParticipantX-Box is going down the tubes. The Nintendo Game Cube is doing fine, I suppose. But it looks like Playstation 2 is coming out on top.
FlamegrapeParticipantLets see what happens. It’s possible that most of the fans have already seen the interviews while they’ve been sitting on my own website, Flamegrape.Com. It might not be too much of a burden on SadGeezer.Com. But let’s see what happens.
As an alternative, I could move the video files to a permanent directory at Flamegrape.Com. The actual interview pages would be at SadGeezer.Com, but I could host the video files at Flamegrape.Com.
FlamegrapeParticipantOh. TechTV is a cable channel. That explains it. I doubt I’ll see it anywhere near where I live. Technology is not as important as Jesus or football around here. It’s an astonishing miracle that we have that godless SciFi Channel.
FlamegrapeParticipantSo who’s gonna be the next Osama Bin Ladin? Let’s place bets on which middle-eastern country he’ll be from. (It’s certain that it will be a man, of course.) Odds are very good that it will be another Saudi. But it could be a Baath party member from Syria or a Taliban from Afgahnistan. I’m going to go with a Philipino as the long shot.
And place your bets for the next terrorist target and it’s method. Will it be a nuke at an american port city, smuggled in a cargo container? Or how about another plane crash? Or maybe it will be just like in Israel with occasional suicide bombers in public places in the United States?
This sh*t is NEVER going to end.
EVER.
FlamegrapeParticipantWhat channel is this on? I can’t find any listing for “TechTV” or “Screen Savers” in the online TV Guide.
I want to see it. I think Pat Tallman is beeeeeyooooootiful!
http://www.flamegrape.com/lytaalexander/
I got her to autograph a laserdisc copy of “Knightriders,” the movie she was in with Tom Savini and Ed Harris. She married the actor who played Kosh. Does anyone know if that has gone well? I hope so. They were both very nice when I saw them at DragonCon years ago.
FlamegrapeParticipant
I just want to take the opportunity to thank the US and the UK for cleaning up an incredibly repressive power structure, and replacing it with a very messy power vaccuum.
This is a bad thing? I think it’s great!I’m beginning to suspect that muslims really suck at modern warfare.
My very best wishes to the liberated people of Iraq – try not to steal too many vases or kill any wayward Muslims in the determination for your newfound ‘freedom’. Please remember – there will be no pork in your Big Macs , and ‘Mecca’s’ will be open for breakfast time after your daily morning prayers.
I think it’s great. The sooner they westernize the country and set up a democracy, the better. From there, we can use Iraq, Afghanistan, and Israel as bases to take over the rest of the Middle-east. United States marines and tanks, rolling through the streets of Mecca! Yeah! That will put an end to all conflict!FlamegrapeParticipantuhhh….
I saw lots of news footage of looting. Not just one guy with a vase. Also, there was lots of footage of fighting and looter gun battles in the streets.
FlamegrapeParticipant
((Bf)(E*bcr/2)/L) = bft
Hmmm… could that function be incorporated into this K.C.S.B. formula, Dance (sub little) plus Love (sub little) equals Get Down (sub tonight)?
I think we might be on to something.
FlamegrapeParticipantBut what if the subject contracted Boogie Fever? Would that enhance the ratio of bounce to ounce?
FlamegrapeParticipant
When are we going to get right down to it and build Disneyland Near-east? I bet Minnie Mouse will look sexy in a burka.
FlamegrapeParticipantbonnee, do you post news articles because you think none of us here ever watch televisioin, read newspapers, magazines or online news websites? Do you think we are all completely ignorant? That we live in a total void through which this bulletin board is our only source of information?
🙄I haven’t said much of anything in this thread until now. But I just want to say right now that I’m so glad that the glorious United States of America is establishing a more secure presence in the Middle-east. Our tanks, jets, and missiles will help insure the existence of a New World Order. And all of Islam will be crushed under our boot. It will be just like the old days of colonial imperialism. It’s our duty to bring the civilized ways of the West to these savages. And it’s our moral obligation to convert them all to the one, true religeon: Christianity! Hey, it’s what all the arabs think anyway. So why not give them what they want? They all say our Christian crusades where really horrible. But we are in danger of being outdone in the field of religeous atrocities by the endless onslaught of islamic fundamentalist terrorism. We can one up them! There’s plenty of space in those deserts for oil refineries as well as concentration camps! Yahoo! Kill ’em all and let God sort them out!
FlamegrapeParticipantCHEAP TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE
I just contacted Creation Entertainment. They told me that inexpensive convention tickets will be available two months prior to the convention. The price of these tickets is not known yet. But they will be on sale around 1 June 2003.FlamegrapeParticipant
FlamegrapeParticipant
Are you planning on attending? If so, will you be conducting more interviews? I would love to hear what JH has to say! I love that guy (loved 790, too!)
I would love to go to Las Vegas! However, if the only admission price to the convention is ~$400, then I’m not sure I can swing that. I find it extremely difficult to believe that there is just this one, expensive ticket price. And I would LOVE to interview Jeffrey! Also, I have this little fantasy of giving him a microphone and following him around the convention with a video camera so he can interview and make fun of Star Trek actors and fans!
😆 😆 😆FlamegrapeParticipant

Lol and here I thought Saddy was doubling as porn site in the off hours.
It’s funny you should say that Pet! I was thinking of a SadGeezers Guide to erotic Sci Fi Fan Images!
But I guess the demad and strain on the server and bandwidth would be far too high!
Also, I know at least one actress that I personally spoke with (who shall go namless) who was really “freaked out” and bothered by “erotic fan images” on the internet.
😯FlamegrapeParticipant[audio src="http://www.flamegrape.com/wav/godhardon.wav" /]
FlamegrapeParticipantScience-fiction fandom will be talking about this for decades.

Saw the regret in your eyes
It’s too late now to change the truth
While were living under the same roof
Its a ruse of yours
To alter perception
Manipulate a violent situation
For your own gain
With my tits in the air
I’m strong and proud
You’ll see me laughing out loud
On a crowded street
In the summer heat
We’ll all be there
So come and share
Its a ruse of yours
To alter perception
Manipulate a violent situation
To your own gain
And your own needs
And your own fear
And your own tears
Seek and destroy
Smile and obey
Its a ruse of yours
To spoil perfection

He was. But his ban is obviously lifted. However, I gave him a warning in another thread. I told him, “aut disce aut discede,” which means, “either learn or leave.” He subsequently responded with latin nonsense. I’m not sure if it remains to be seen whether or not he harkened to my word.FlamegrapeParticipantI highly recommend this week’s

aut disce aut discede
FlamegrapeParticipant
…and then turn off for most of season 4, where it disappeared up its own narrative arc.
That’s your opinion. And ever since the final episode aired, I have seen few people on the bulletin boards post complaints about the quality of the fourth season. So far, it’s only been you and one or two other people. To anyone living in Australia, I recommend watching the entire run of all four seasons. In my opinion, the fourth season was brilliant. Most of the fans of Lexx seemed to really enjoy it. The ending was superb and leaves the story wide open for continuation.
Enjoy.
FlamegrapeParticipantGolly! Saddam Hussein is such an awful man! Gee whiz! How did such a bad man come into power? And why are the French, Germans, and Russians so eager to help him? And why did those strange Israelis bomb that nuclear reactor that the French built for Iraq? Why didn’t we retaliate against the Israelis when we were giving so much to Saddam to fight those evil Iranians?
Who put Saddam in charge in the first place? I’ve seen few people talk about his history in any depth. It’s as if he suddenly materialized in 1990 and suddenly became a menace.

Are you referring to me,
Naw, I doubt it sweetie, she most likely is refering to the overall expense of it all. 😀
But these are the first tickets. I would immagine that other price ranges will come up for sale later.
I hope so. I’m not really interested in Star Trek that much.18th March 2003 at 4:42 pm in reply to: Lexx stars at the Official Star Trek Convention in Las Vegas #65306FlamegrapeParticipantIf the only rate of admission is $409, then count me out!
15th March 2003 at 10:41 pm in reply to: Lexx stars at the Official Star Trek Convention in Las Vegas #65298FlamegrapeParticipantI just took a look at the Creation Entertainment page for the Star Trek convention. Gods, what a monster! $400 dollars admission? I hope there is a separate admission price other than this “Gold” membership. It looks like it could be lots of fun. There will be tons of Trek actors in attendance. I wonder if it would be remotely possible to get Leonard Nimoy’s autograph? Also, I’m not sure I could deal with the intense trekkiness of the whole thing. I mean, I like Trek fine and everything. But Lexx has been called the anti-Star Trek. What does it all mean?
I don’t know. It seems a little funny going all the way across the country to a gigantic Trek convention in order to hang out with Lexx fandom! I think that all Lexx fans who can go should go.
But it’s a 2,000 mile drive for me (4,000 miles round trip). However, I will be in Nebraska on the 28th of July, attending my grandmother’s 102nd birthday. So I would be more or less half-way across the country anyway. And I have some friends I can visit in New Mexico and Texas. It would be quite an adventure.
On the road. Yeah.
FlamegrapeParticipant
We all wait for text transcript- for correct translation :)Thank you!!!
Yes! I will eventually have the interviews translated into Russian (thanks, lubka) and German. It will take time, but it will be worth it.FlamegrapeParticipant
Thanks flamegrape. The interviews appear without a hitch when
i use realplayer on mac osx. Good work! you did an awsome job, what nice people! Can’t wait to watch Brians interview.
I’m so glad it works fine for Mac people. I made sure that it would work on Tennessee Tim’s Mac. He uses OS X too. I’m very pleased with the flexibility of the Real Media Video files.Unfortunately, Brian’s interview will feature only about half as many questions as the other three interviews. It was getting late in the evening and so we called it a night. I have plenty more questions for him, if I ever get the chance!
FlamegrapeParticipant
This is GREAT!
It’s very well done dude! Wonderful job. I’m amazed you got her to talk so much! 🙂
It was nice to see her wanting to carry on LEXX.
Was the idea about a LEXX film serious?
Thanxx!
🙂I was amazed too.
And yes, she’s serious about the idea of acquiring the rights to do a Lexx theatrical movie.
13th March 2003 at 4:32 pm in reply to: Lexx stars at the Official Star Trek Convention in Las Vegas #65272FlamegrapeParticipantWithout knowing much of anything about the Star Trek convention in Vegas, I would tend to agree with Mandara K. DragoncCon remains my favorite convention. And not just because it’s near where I live.
