I do think LexxLurker’s right, if you put your newly formed MM Forum as a web page, then others have a choice whether or not to view it or not. I’d also suggest adding it as part of your sig, so that way, others know what they may be looking at. Gosh I hope not, that would be pretty crappy. I am not fond of people having different nick on different boards. I am old and feeble and I find that very confusing. And I definitely think that a person should not have different nicks an individual board.
You should take a look at the archives of the Sci-fi and KEB boards sometimes, they’re riddled with posts from people alternate nicks, some of them you readily know. ;), not to mentionl this board as well.
Perhaps the folks posting here are doing it for reasons of fairness, not wanting opinions to be formed before the site was seen.

That makes a lot of since; the reason why I use my nick here, theFrey’s & lexx.com, is Jhevz is more outspoken than I really am; also, this nick gives me inspiration to post more. I also use Keyeo on lexx.com because I work at a store & can get irritated sometimes & have others with not-so-nice moods on occasion; also, there’s been a person who’s recently thrown up in the store as well as someone crapping in our store. I also use that nick on HDS’s board; on the Sci-Fi board, I use Stephalee & use my own name at Brian’s board.
Since you’ve made a good point, I thought I would clear some of the confusion on why I use different nicks on these boards.Lexxian to Lexxian,

I’ve already fulfilled several of my dreams, which are: visiting 1 of the original 13 colonies, a state in the South (Atlanta, GA) & going to my 1st professional NHL game (SJ Sharks vs LA Kings); I feel like I can do anything I put my mind to. Since I’ve fulfilled some of my dreams & are continuing to fulfill more of them, I’m very proud of my accomplishments; but sometimes I feel like I need that extra push to go even farther.
Without you people, this board & chat rooms, I would never have opened up as much as I have been; with all your help, I feel like there are others out there with the same interests & are helping me come out of a very deep, deep shell. I want to that each & every 1 of you for that, especially the Lexxians who I’ve met these past couple yrs. 🙂
I’m already working on my Goals & dreams for next yr; 1 being dressed in my Keyeo outfit at next yr’s Dragon*Con. There are many others I’m currently working on, including trying to get rid of some bad habits (picking my fingers, talking to myself, etc) &the like.Dreamers Unite,

I thought it was close, but I thought that since I received my t-shirts & mug so quickly, I didn’t think it was a problem. I don’t send much when I’m home anyway; I really like what I received & plan on wearing my t-shirt when I can, but not right now, I’d catch pnemonia.
I do have a couple of ideas for next yr’s design; but I probably won’t get to it til after I finish cleaning up my room & writing letters to friends & family that don’t have e-mail; I’ll also be crafting again in the afternoons as soon as I’m done cleaning my room.
As soon as I can, I’ll be making a thread, telling about how I’m creating my Keyeo costume for next yr’s Dragon*Con (after cleaning my room); then how I made both my brace & wigs, for my Keyeo costume.

The idea of signing up 1st, then post here, was Sadgeezer’s idea; I just wanted some sort of Help Forum/How to become a better poster & such. If you want to know more about this forum, it’s in a thread on this forum; I’ve already put the way I’d like this forum to run & hopefully work out on an earlier thread. I’ll look for the thread, then put the name of it here, for any of you or anyone to read; the thread that I made about what I’d like & what this forum’s all about is the 2nd [b]Announcement[/b] above this & other regular threads. It’s called, `[b]Welcome to Discussion Forum Help[/b]’; there, you’ll find the answers you’re looking for & please let others know that’s where they need to read 1st. I thought this would be like lexx.com’s Help Forum, I had no idea that anyone would have to sign up 1st.

Well, nursewhen, SadGeezer,
I think we should give this more time & if there’s still not very many people signing up by a certain time period, then we can think about changing it; I also think there could be a separate Help Forum for the general posters who haven’t signed up, that way, they too can feel like they can participate. I think that not enough time has been spent on this 1, nor has there been enough time for others to want to post here after signing on; but if by a certain time period, then I think nursewhen can have this changed. Also, I believe that if we have a separate Help Forum, may be that will help some; but, have it open (without signing up 1st) to other posters & let them decide which 1 they’d like to post on.
I hope this helps some, nursewhen & I’ll be writing more on posting either next month (November) or in 2 months (December).

As soon as I can or in January of 2004, I’ll be paying my membership to the convention; I can’t wait to show Wade (HDS) my new Keyeo costume, especially the wigs. Also, you & the others might be impressed with it too. 🙂
I hope (& I’ll write to Dragon*Con as soon as I can) that the convention will have more interesting panels; I liked the 1s I went to this past yr & hope to do it again next yr. 🙂

Here’s my favourite kid shows I watched when I was a little girl & would definitely watch them again, if I could.[b]Land of the Lost, Sigmond the Sea Monster, Bigfoot & Wildboy, Electra Woman & Dyna Girl, the Bugaloos, Dr Shrinker [/b]& a couple of others I can’t remember at the moment.

All of these, or at least most of them, kept me still when I had asthma when I was in the 5th grade, onward; some of them even before then, when I had casts on both feet, due to corrective surgeries. I watched a couple of them during the ’80’s when I was having my last surgeries on my left foot & was helping take care of the house.

I’ll be watching, possibly taping it, since I watched both Balttlestar Galactica & Galactica 1980 when I was younger; I hope it’s as good as Battlestar Galactica & not make it as bad as Galactica 1980. When Richard Hatch would talk about it at Gally, I was hoping he would succeed & make a movie or something out of it; obviously he succeeded.
It probably won’t be the same without the same people who portrayed them, but it will be neat to watch; Starbuck a girl, hmmmmmmmm 🙄 I don’t know.

I don’t hate Kevin Sorbo either; in fact, I really like the whole cast, even if at times, you feel like ringing someone’s neck. When I started watching it, it was at a decent time when I could watch it on a regular basis; but now, it’s on at a time when I can’t, even though I could tape it, that’s just another show & tape I have to watch.
I really like the show, the characters & such, because it’s another concept to consider. I hope you get a chance & watch the 1st season, you’ll get a kick out of it & how the show started in the 1st place.

Since many of them are in Canada & Gally has only a limited budget, I was just told that it would cost them too much for them to have any Lexx guests; he did thank me for making the request. I wrote the letter earlier this evening, not expecting to hear from them till later, but when I was on a web site, I went to my e-mail & I got a reply saying there would not be a chance of having any Lexx guests at this yr’s Gally. Ahhhhhhh, well, may be next yr; I’ll still be making my link on my Lexx/V/Gally page to raise money for a Lexx table or something & I’ll keep trying. Also, if we all write to our favourite Lexx actor &/or actress, may be they would want to go. I’ll keep you all informed & hopefully we’ll gain some more interest.Lexxians Unite,

That’s why another forum’s called The Pub; it’s actually for that kind of thing; also, other generallized forums are used for that. This forum was created, like the Help is on lexx.com; if other posters want help, they have somewhere to go to, even though they have to sign up on the list 1st.

I’ve got the `Making of 3rd season of Lexx’ since I bought it at Dragon*Con, but all I have to do is watch it; I really don’t know when I’ll watch it, since the baseball playoffs are going on, the start of NHL hockey begins next week & my parents & I will be doing a lot of taping. I too will be taping `Garden’ when the Sci-Fi Channel airs it; afterwards & as soon as I watch it, I’ll see if those 5 girls are also on the `Woz’, which I’ll be taping in 2 weeks.I also like `Boomtown’; it’s 1 of the better ones & I do think you’re right, Eva did play the part of May; if not, whoever did it, did a good job.
Tonight, I’ll be taping `Twilight’; yes, folks, another Kai episode, but there’s also a lot of Xev & Stan in it too. Afterwards, I’ll be taping `Woz’ & `Brigadoom’; but in no way, shape or form, will I be taping `The Net’. I may be taping `Brizon’ in November, but definitely be taping the last 1 of the 2nd season.

That all depends on which tv shows & movies you’re asking; there are many different shows & movies which I have favourite monsters in them.
The classic monster movie is The Mummy, with Bela Lugasi playing the Mummy & Dracula. I do like others & would like more info about what you mean.

I’ve had a wonderful birthday yesterday, especially spending it with my parents; I’ve been getting birthday calls, cards & got a set of sheets & they’re not flannel, but they feel soft. Also, I’ve been putting the pictures I got from the store & put them on my computer; I’m still fixing them up to look nicer, then I’ll show them to everyone. Since my daddy’s birthday is in 8 days, we’re gonna have cake Monday, to celebrate both birthdays.

I had a wonderful birthday yesterday & spent it with my parents; I’ll have my cake when we celebrate both my daddy’s & mine, since his is 8 days from today. For my birthday, I’ve got a couple of phone calls, cards & a set of sheets; the sheets aren’t flannel, but they feel soft & I can’t wait to put them on my bed. Yesterday, I also put some pictures I got back from the store onto my computer & am still wroking on them, chatting on fef.net & watching the SF Gaints beat LA.

I’d have to agree with Logan on this 1; I also think both Kai & Xev costumes are great & well done. You should’ve seen HDS when he was dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow; woooooohooooooo, did he ever look great in that.

You don’t sleep at these things, instead it’s fun time; sleep comes later. Heck I also could’ve of taken more pictures, especially with my new digital camera, but such as life; that makes 2 of us, I also should have hung around the other Lexx table more (the 1 theFrey & others were at). Better walking shoes doesn’t hurt, but it’s what you feel comfortable in; may be next yr, you & I can be roomies at the same hotel we stayed at this yr (Marriott Fairfield Inn). You’re mom’s a good person & I’m very glad to have met her, even if it was the last night of the con. You’re a good person, ilyekkakai; I wouldn’t change a thing. 🙂

Most likely next month or so, I’ll be posting a thread called `[color=indigo][i]How to be a Good Poster or How to Post Well[/i][/color]’ & I’ll be writing about this very subject, not as in detail as here, but there will be mentioning of it.
I think haing this kind of discussion brings others opinions together in a way you can’t really express in person; sometimes (such as in lexx.com), I think you have to be cencored in order not to offend anyone out there. Also, it stops many arguements from getting out of hand, so others who want to post something can. There’s a saying I’d like to share with you, `[color=red]If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything.[/color]’ I believe if all of us can try to hold up to that, then we’ll be better people & be able to handle those of them who’d like to make arguements instead. Jhevz 😉I was taking a shower & getting ready to go to work at the Thrift Store when I heard my mom yell, `John, we’re being attacked!’; at 1st, I thought, `Mom, that only happens elsewhere’, that is until I turned on my tv set & Tower 1 was on fire. When I saw the other plane hit Tower 2, I felt like staying home, but then thought otherwise when Tower 2 started falling. As Tower 2 was falling, I saw an image (a face) telling me it was time, you need closer now; then when Tower 1 started falling, I saw another image telling your dreams will come true & you’ll be much happier. As I was watching this & getting ready for work, I thought, `Wow, I wonder if our Manager of the Thrift Store will close today’; I’m very glad she didn’t.
When I was working, another volunteer came in with more grave news; she said that Tower 7, of the WTC, had gone down. I thought, `There was a Tower 7; wow, who or what next. Everyone 1 of us at work that day were extremely glad we went to work; we all consoled 1 another & told each other that we were safe. But on that horrific day, no one could convince me of that.
When I came home, my parents & I decided to watch a movie instead, because the rest of that night was gonna show those images over & over again; as we were trying to concentrate on the movie, the 3 of us just cried & my mom said, `just try to get some sleep; it’s been a horrible day.
After 2 yrs, those images have stuck in my mind & have made me realize we’re all vunerable no matter where we are; I’m now more cautious & aware than I ever was before. But after that horrific day, I now take each day as if it were my last & treat every moment as special. Let’s all remember this day & go after as many of our dreams as we can, in memory of those who’ve passed on.
