This show was recorded in 2006. Presenters for this show were SadGeezer (in the UK), Mike (UK) and Headgehog (USA).
I was expecting another Cool Whip, a terribly animated episode. I was pleasantly surprised. The animation wasn’t too bad. So either it wasn’t bad to begin with, or the good animators in Montreal did a classic college student last second rush job to make it look presentable.
Tripping the Rift names, characters and everything else associated with the series are the property of CineGroup. They should be ashamed!
I learned in the opening seconds that this weeks episode was written by the same guy as Cool Whip. I was ready to shut off the TV right then. Luckily I stuck around and kept watching Honey I Shrunk the Crew, the best episode to date!
It was better than average for the series, but nothing too memorable in this one besides a few good one liners. And Six’s ultra sexy space suit!
This was a pretty cool episode. Graphically it was great, but the story and direction were a bit off.
Chode is a lying cheapskate who wouldn’t hesitate to burn his own crew to save money on heating, but we’ve never really seen how far his cheapness goes until this episode.
Love Conquers All..Almost, is arguably the best episode in season 1. Much like last weeks episode, Emasculating Chode, Love Conquers excelled in all areas of production. The script was fantastic, with jokes spilling out nearly every line…
Spaceship Bob bio. The ships AI is a combination masochist. and hypochondriac.
One of the grossest characters in animated TV Sci Fi. But quite down to earth and naaa, that’s about it. Not much going for this character other than ugliness.
Lazy, incompetent ships pilot. Whip is Chode’s nephew and only there for that reason.
By TTR standards, this was a normal episodes. It had its strong points, in the form of some good scifi and heterosexual jokes, but largely it was average, which sadly isn’t very good.
Adam 12 is the son of Confederation Commander Adam. He’s a rebellious young punk who is in denial that he’s going to one day be exactly like his father.
Francis Bobafett Dinkleman 3rd is one of the finest bounty hunters can buy. Which doesn’t say much for the bounty hunter industry.
Angel is a sex slave. A highly selective, skanky yet innocent looking, cheap whore. Chode purchased her as a replacement for Six, what he got was an uppity sexbot that didn’t know her place.
If you were to see Angel in a pub, you’d think she was way too young to be there. But after watching her down all the drinks the guys were sending to her, you realize that she’s exactly where she belongs. You might want to send over a drink yourself, but you’d just be wasting your money. Try the venetian chick a few stools over instead.
Ten is a male sex slave who escaped from a Dark Clown colony who is running from bounty hunters. He’s perhaps one of the most advanced cyborgs ever built, as he can experience human emotions.
The Surrender Dorothy is the Jupiter 42’s shuttle craft. It’s small, cramped, ugly, defenceless and as powerful as an canary.
The Sex Slave 1 is Bobafett’s ship. And its bloody huge! It’s almost half the size of the Jupiter 42, and it only has one crewmember. If you were to see the Sex Slave 1 on the road it would be a Lincoln Navigator.
Spankey the monkey promised to be Chode’s big pay day. He’s the largest monkey-diamond ever discovered, and somehow Chode got his hands on him, my guess through a poker game. If you were to see Spankey in a bar, he’d be the impromptu entertainment.
Mistress Pain is a sex slave, but only in the loosest sense of the word. Yes she’s technically owned property, and a cyborg, but this bitch takes orders from no one!
Bernice is the not-so-loving wife to Darph Bobo. While Bobo controls the entire Dark Clown Empire, she controls him through years of insults and sexual deprivation.

Love Conquers excelled in all areas of production. The script was fantastic, with jokes spilling out nearly every line, and enough quick B and C plots to keep the “Romeo and Juliet” A-Plot moving along at a steady pace.
This wasn’t a particularly funny episode. But it made up for it 30 times over by being visually – freaking awesome!
This is the the transcript of the April 24th SadGeezer.com interview with Tripping the Rift Director Bernie Denk about his work in animation and on our favourite 3D cartoon.
The Confederation Cruiser is the more common fleet ship in the Confederate forces. It’s swift, fast, nimble and like other confederation ships, armed to the teeth.
