and Gordon Micheal Woolvett from Andromedayep – If I ruled the entertainment world, I would have done a lot diff with the Superman movie….and can’t really say what I could have done in V for Vendetta, thereby is is obv. the much better movie.

i was just disappointed with V for Vendetta. I think I had high expectations for it being a film that you walked out of the theater and couldn’t help but continue to talk about it…
It was a little soft and not as edgy as I hoped (seemed a bit harlequin romance instead of mind opening, gestalt like)
I think a Scanner Darkly is worth renting, but I rent a lot of junk, lol ;-P (Always have to rent Keanu movies!)

yep – I’ve lost my eyes on occasion (found ’em on the floor) by the not expecting the porn on the scifi channel. They don’t do this all the time here, but there will be the odd run where you flip on the channel at 9 !!!! and “POP” go the eyeballs, with a what the ……
The one that caught me the worse was a Buck Rodgers take off, haha….I turned on the channel.. “hmmm.. this looks like a Bad Buck Rodgers” I thinks to m’self, seems quite normal for a min or two….then “buck” enters a whole new buck rodgers universe…….

he is only listed for 2 eps..we’ll see. He is cute on the IMDB website, but not so much on the show (1st non-hottie character?)

So anyways, Sylar was a watch repair guy, who could tell if your watch was off by seconds…”sylar” was the name of a rare watch he was repairing, which he adopted as his own name…
too bad there isn’t a skyscraper, giant casino, venice (which is an architectural feat, designed before the water rose to accomidate the rising waters), or Disneyland on there….
but there are some cool choices

I was hoping that she was a split personality thing like the blonde chick played by Ali Larter…or just went plain old crazy from seeing how far her powers could go under the tutleage of dear old dad….maybe Sylar jus tkilled her though.
it would have been a fun twist though. 🙁
(i thought that was maybe why Sylar never wanted to be seen, ’cause he was a she…)
i can do another Sadcast midweek if you like but..
I think we could drop #14 though as, well, we’ll have less and less interesting things to say the more often we talk about it 🙂

I’ll turn my skype on and you can search for me. You can send a chat message 1st as i’m in and out of this room (I take care of little ones) and would prolly miss your call. You’ll see a little blue chat button on the top of the Skype screen….
hmm..he may just not be online? You can send him a chat message with the skpe too…if he is online you’ll get the actual Sadgeezer picture next to his name, not just the empty person head they show otherwise.
I’ll turn my Skype on (i’m in and out of this room ’cause i take care of kids) and you can see if you can send me a message …then we can try a quick chat.
hmmm….I’m not very technical (like, really ,really not); we talk on Skype, which is free to download and use. AS far as I know you just need your pissy headset and away you go….lol, it works like a free phone call.
I’m not sure what time difference you are talking about (not familiar with the time zone on “youranus”, lol..nice profile!!) It would be really nice to have you “live” with the rest of us. Send Saddy your thoughts on Heroes and he can post it on the “wiki” for the rest of the sadcast to look at too (so we can work on our pithy remarks, haha) or just do a point by point thing and we can discuss at the sadcast….or one of us can read your review or something….it’s too early for me, i’m prolly not making sense but it would be awesome to work this out!!!

…people are sick of hearing my non-senscial ?mutterings…..some people, like you, actually have well thought out reviews. You know, Saddy can tape you seperate if you like…or you can write out a nice review and the podcasters can talk about the points you raise! It’s refreshing to have another viewpoint!hmm…well if the cheerleader dies in heroes then it’s on to post-apoc…….

I’m still enjoying the show. It is slower going, but has interesting twists….

Hedgehog has a nice review of the book on one of the Sadcasts…IMO it is about 2x the size it needs to be and spends a lot of obvious time setting up for the next and supposedly last book…..but it is a quick read, so why not?
Paul is nice, but it’s my dad’s name….so hubby wouldn’t pick it right there 🙂
Oh well, we’ll see what he comes up with next…

I liked that it didn’t just have the standard super hero/x-men gifts…the dopple-ganger of the stripper chick is interesting and the two japanese guys are very funny! (also the fact that the chick that wants to kill herself …can’t!)
MY NIT-PIKS
Some of the continuation was a little confusing for me with the super healing chick (i could just not get it); first, her ribs didn’t heal because they were sticking out of her body (and unlike x-men, she didn’t notice/felt no pain) so she stuffs them back in and she did stuff her shoulder back into place. But then she chops off her fingers in the garborator and doesn’t put them back into place and they heal no problem even though they weren’t covered by her skin or put back into place?Also – the science lecture of the cute prof bugged me; he was talking about the fact that cockroaches can live for weeks without their head (it’s actually up to one week supposedly), and that humans only use 10% of their brain…a long known untrue old scientists tale (we pretty much use it all). I just figure in the premiere a little more care could be taken in continuity and facts.
But i’ll be watching tonight – it was exciting and interesting to watch!
I think Eleen Tigh will buy it – because we’ve had a little teaser about if she is/isn’t a cylon and that has to play out sometime soon before we all forget about it.
I think Cally will be buying land too. I think she’ll shoot chief/ herself, and one or both will die. if chief lives he’ll be incapacitated and they’ll bring in another chief who is really one of those insurgents…good way to stir the vunerability to attack pot.
Adama is safe for ages….Apollo needs to grow into the leader of the people role. A laura and Adama wedding in the future maybe yet, too? Laura is safe for a good while too.
and one of the cylons, either 6 or boomer will one day be the Athena that throws herself off the cliff on Kobol to save humanity. Since “it has all happened before and will happen agian.”

haha! I never even noticed that…and I have the DVD’s, LOL! I sure don’t remember seeing any “rip-off” Babylon 5 Looking station on the show, and I did watch it recently…I’ll have to view it again 🙂
