I like this quiet corner thread so I don’t have to argue with anyone or compete; it’s peaceful.
Some of my choices are thus… peaceful like off the Animatrix album such as Photek’s Ren 2 or Kissed By A Rose ( that Batman movie song) by Seal or then I move to An oldie but a goodie “by BOC “Don’t Fear the Reaper” or even “Ballroom Blitz” by Sweet in think. And then back to the Animatrix CD for The Conga Mix I think by Juno Reactor REd Pill, Blue Pill that od course uses lines from the Matrix.
The Law is strict and impartial; it is out of my hands; I tried to cushion the blow but you would and do not listen. We will try again next lifetime, hmm? 😥

Well, I checked out of the LEXX.com motel for good (but my posts can never leave heehee) and landed in the village; white balloons so innoculous a week ago are items to fear! 😯
Gotta love that car, man ! I only saw the first 2-3 eps in season 1 but holey canolli this show is a fascinating ride! I like the carnival in Dance of the Dead and No. 6 going as himself; I guess the reasons behind why he left are mystery enough.

Back to topic; JJ knew about this; please we are talking MTV. Shock and sex videos ? HULLO? I don’t have anything against what is natural and the body; but Americans don’t have a natural acceptance of their own bodies; how do you expect that not to be reflected in their media? Of course this is a struggle that’s as old as the ages. The old and new; youth versus older age or actually what MTV and corporations perceive as the struggle between old and new thinking.
It’s more than a questions of sex; these questions run into lack of inner qualities; this country is starving for an inner compass individually and collectively. We turned over our future to youth and did not give them a road map.
What is one of the things that everyone gets a rise out of almost everyone; well sex is one; spilling blood another. ie… the content of most shows now and entertainment like video games.
Sex and the human body; that’s natural a part of life; it’s part of the cycle of life; violence though is part of the human experience does not have to be a part of life; but as Americans we choose violence over sex; pfft! I love the freedoms of my country but there are times 🙄 😳 I wish we thought globally instead of by country.

I think he’s playing it smart; I mean really; how can anyone concentrate on a new role if the audience that came to see you wanted you as Kai and moaned over the shape of your lips. Not that an actor can’t use that to an advantage but from a guy who wanted out after Season 3; I would stay out of the limelight too and do small work small theatre; little pay; and preferably non-English speaking.
Wishing and hoping can only do so much, ya know; may be he prefers to be Joe Q. Public to acting; may be he does radio under a pseudo; who knows?
May be he wants recognition beyond being a sci-fi slab of meat. If you leave him be; he’ll re-emerge if he really has the acting fire down below; he’ll be somewhere plying the trade; if you let him be.

My brother and I caught Dick’s “Paycheck” over the weekend. That’s a powerful story; Bubbles the Chimp could have played a better role than Affleck but the story is remarkable. Oh yeah, put Mr. Dick on the reading list.

Awwwww! I just felt like a just read an obit or experienced the meteor that killed off the dinosaurs; Electropolis is extinct; I should have made an offer for that rocking horse in the prop room or a least the pool table.
Well, demolition is the beginning of construction; one does not exist without the other; the good ones have constitutions like rubber balls; we have not seen the last of Halifax or those the reside within those walls.
Well, a majority of my gifts are money or gift certificates so they do not exist yet; but I did get a calendar with the nebulas from Hubble; which is, in my humble opinion almost as lovely as the The Creation of Eve by Michelangelo featured this month in my December calendar. I got chai of course; but then I’m not much for lots of stuff; sure it would be nice; but what would I do with it?

Yeah, I’m Grinching; must be getting close to the holiday thing, but i have time off coming around ny birthday and I’ll blow off some steam.
I just think a change in attitude for me and a change in lattitude will set me right again.
I would like to suggest however that in future get togethers that someone come up with ways to entertain everyone; trivia or ways to move everyone around at these things; we are an intelligent group of peeps, we can figure out ways to include everyone; even if it’s just a drinking game or something very basic. I happen to like the What’s my line theory which is saying a line and then guessing where it came from; similar to what we do here. If we would have applied some of what we do here on the BB to the party setting it would have been fine. And the Brigadoom recreation (it wasn’t even a reenactment) was fun with a sing along and goofiness. AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION; there is your key!
I’m going back to my lurk mode and so forth and so on; but I had my say and it was good to get it off my chest;

Once you met them, IMHO, bring a book unless you are attractive, perky, someone who wants in the business or have an angle because I found that peeps like me were passed over for our our livlier counterparts which leaves me very bored. Three words oh famous ones…. work the (freakin’) room. If I remember correctly, there was a ROOMfull of people not just sitting at your side. You see you have 2 sides thus limit yourself; but if you walk around you multiply that many times over and open yourself to many more people thus you expand your mind.
I really think my CON days are over; too much effort very little return; I miss those others from here at Sad’s and lexx.com because ultimately these are the people you spend the most time with oh unless you’re “special” It’s easier to talk free and openly here without spending excess money for what? A picture, a handshake and then a “next” attitude. If I ever do a CON again; I will get a readilly accessible room; I will throw a party for peeps like me that get the “passover” and we will have a wonderful time without the “notice me- notice me” mentality. I really hate that, it puts us in a sort of contest mentality with these “stars’ and they shower attention on those they deem “worthy”. That’s a load of crap and might be harmful in the end to any kind of LEXX future. Well, it make sense. If there are many in body one in mind; this group will realize all of their goals but if there are many in body many in mind they will not accomplish anything of worth. Even a person at cross purposes with himself can accomplish very little.
So, the Cliff Note version I just said; you of influential power; stop dividing your fan base with you personal feelings in a public forum; if you want to be friendly to a select few do it on you own BB your own time but don’t say one thing and do another.

🙁 ❓ Well I kinda watched some of the BG back when and though I agree with the better fight scenes and more characterization; I’m not exactly sold on the story subplots. A lot of them have been there did that and wot’s up with the gratuitous sex scenes. You would think that all they know how to do is rip each other’s clothes off and have at it; every other relationship was that it seemed; i guess romance is non-existent in the future. Which I found particulary funny and ironic is that the girl on the commercial about male enhancement pills would do better as the female blonde cylon; the actress they used was tall and attractive I suppose but not an impressive actor nor was the good-looking British traitor.
I did like the crew chief though; and you know sparks are gonna fly there between command and him. And the blonde rebel (I’m not good with these names and it’s the middle of the night when i get to see it) she turned in a good performance. I was intrigued by the reference to religion and cuture of these colonies; if they can get away from the traditional disaster…. our world is destroyed what shall we do; let’s take a jump….. theory and develop a few more NEW plot ploys, well i think it will be very entertaining.
OOH, I WANT one of THOSE! Look, at him; nothing better than a man whose got his priorities straight!. Logan, that is very funny! Where’s the chest and back hair; and his girls around him?

I wish we would have had Sadgear for DC; but I’d think about purchasing now; I think Sad’s may even last beyond LEXX ….sad but true; depending on diversification capabilities. I’m not sure of the Battlestar Gallatica and with Sci-Fi on repeat mode for the weekend, boy oh boy.
You know they should take a clue from this site at Sci-Fi dot com. I mean they should have a Science Faction show as oppose to Scare Tactics ( I hate that show) I want to know what intellects know in a dummy version; I don’t want a dissertation; I want an abbreviated summary; the highlights boys.

I have to see some of your recommended films. I did see part of Logan’s Run; it was on TCM a month or two ago. It was interesting. I also may purchase the season 1 Prisoner dvd’s but it’s the holidays and I have to plan for another move! Here i go again; an0ther F@#$$% move!!!

Isn’t that sad? This stuff is still going around 2 years after LEXX is over? That divisions like these still are apparent. Well, I think it is a good thing that individual BB are being set up so one can go and fantasize all one wants about whoever you want to. But of course what do I know? I’m not a dahling like others seem to be; I’d just HATE to see a group of people I like to read split into tiny chewable pieces.
To be honest I don’t know the inner workings of this group nor does it keep me up nights thinking about it. At this juncture I’m through with the CONS unless by freak of nature (or a really good gig) some of the LEXX peeps show like Rolf. If MM or XS ever do the CoNs I’m making a run for the border.

What’s all the hubbub? The rumors of escapades of the beloved 4? Who cares? I just want the truth. A true leader is not afraid to seek out the compliments AND the negative criticisms. Otherwise he/she just a tyrant surrounded by yes people and not in touch with themselves or the reality or the world. Which do you learn from more …the compliments or the constructive criticisms? About 2001; I know Logan; it was a fave of yours; but……. why? I’m really trying to understand if I saw the same movie as you did. I even had to go to see if it was the same DVD. We ARE talking the one with the obelisk and the apes in the beginning, right? The space attendants that look like they just had brain surgery? The oh so captivating colors, etc… etc… etc….? i felt it moved a little slow. Great for those times you want to fish popcorn out of your honey’s tonsils in the theatre but on DVD it may have lost it’s impact some what

I don’t know guys, may be sci-fi is not my thing. I liked Ed Harris in movies like The Abyss but I always really liked Ed Harris. I liked Deep Star Six also and as i can recall I owned Lifeforce at one point or another. The Alien and Aliens rocked. Horror is okay but I think psych thrillers are better.

I totally agree that everyone shouls conduct their lives the way they see fit; but don’t lie about it. If she wanted to spend time not at DC she should have said that; that’s garners more cool points than anything else.
