Yeah, I want to check out if what I’m seeing is real; hand over a few of those ones; it’s time for a little show and tell.

Speaking of tell, did I ever tell you about the time I went to a club to see a show with male strippers and they were so desperate for money they lapped danced even though they were not supposed to do it. i felt sorry for the guy more than it was a turn on for me so I handed him the money and told him to try elsewhere.

I”m not sure what to call it; I do not think it should have LEXX in the name; I always thought Flexx was good; female LEXX. And this new LEXX; I think she should have some attitude; like a teenager; a serious problem with authority and want to be her own being. Could you see her refusing to blow up a planet because she feels like it.

    Sweetie,

Governments will not do **** unless A.) it involves their interests (financial) B.) public opinion tells them to. It’s hard to think of this in the 21st century but division and bias still reign supreme here. If we accept one type, we accept it all. Or,
is there an option? Yes, hell yes, there is. I support the UN and NGO’s; I do what I can to fight it in my own backyard. People are people are people; end of story. I listen to all types of people because you never know what pearl of wisdom will come from the most unlikely sources.

Yeah, I know what you are saying; and yeah, it hurts me to think that we in the land of so much can’t help those that have so little and who are innocent; but we can’t save the world all by ourselves; we do what we can when we can. That’s all we can.

    take care.

You know what I’d like to see in L2? A morph. A balance for Prince that does not interfere unless it gets way off balance. I would like to see them enter a newly-created universe to which Prince has the slight edge and meet up with a morph who can change into any matter of man or woman depending on story. I think the main morph as male; white hair blue eyes. And then he can change according to the viewing public. I prefer a guy myself; ladies are you with me on this one. Tall, barefoot, button-fly jeans; blue eyes orr a sharp dressed man, either does it for me.

May be it is a little soon; everyone is still in mourning; but think about it.

Yeah, I got a prob with that rocket pic; my friends. That’s the last vestige of art from humanity; the advertisement of humanity? I say, zip up boys that “Y” chromosome is showing.
I say they should have cashed in at Salter Street and advertised for Viagra in the rocket; you know the ten gallon drum size for the journey; how else will Longbore ever expect to repopulate humanity? Cripes, Sci-Fi already pushed it. Ah, yes coffee and Viagra to get all parts working in synch in the morning.

“I’ve noticed for instance, that most folks hurry through life, looking for some edge in knowing the future, hoping to secure for themselves a tiny piece of contentment by getting the jump on everybody else. Only to discover, usually much too late, that the most wonderful things are the things they already have right at their feet, the things they got when they were little-bitty, the things they keep in their hearts.
And I’ve noticed that all through my life, whether you know it or not, you collect stuff, remember things. Hard things like the eyes of people who hurt you, the chill in the wake of evil: smooth things like the color in your mind when a good dream comes true or a brown-sugar boy who hands you a piece of the sun; and kind things like the smiles, and the hands and the memories of the oneswho love you most. You let go and hold on. And sometimes it’s like you’re not even sure which you’ve done.
Even if you have a Knowing, an extra sense of reading the future, it’s these scraps of yesterday that coat and cover everything of today and wind up shaping your tomorrow. It’s these slices of life that always end up being the things you Know best.”

Pfft…. I don’t really care about what they want to say; but you are right, let them have what they want; demand and supply; the interelationship of fans and writers. Okay, okay I am sorry; to each his/her own. And those scenes; I’m thinking The Shining or Psycho in some of them. Here’s Johnny.
Here she comes to save my day. Thank you Mighty Frey for saving me from a lynching mob. I’ll be good I promise

I did like this ep; not as much as Prime Ridge or the Game, but I think LL is right in the fact it was there to appease the fans give them what they want in summary but in a truly Beanie way.

Can we retire that Brigadoom costume now including the underwear; it almost made me lose my buzz. Don’t get me wrong, Brigadoom was okay; but I felt a seizure coming on seeing that bright costume again.

I loved the fact of all of them lying around on the bed laughing at stuff. Isn’t that what you do with your friends when… oh, never mind.

Shower scenes; standard, nothing exciting; I guess I personally think that if you’ve seen
Xev/Kai take their clothes off once you’ve seen it a thousand times. I feel like they are an old married couple and the thrill is gone baby. I think they should have shaved MM’s chest hair into a heart like MM in Austin Powers; Or get that “Lee Press on chest hair” like he had.

As an owner, I prefer cats because my schedule is so hectic and there is only me, I can’t properly take care of a dog. Growing up, however, my family had dogs because my mother hated cats. We had a dog named Benji who was 1/2 German Shephard 1/2 (sp) bisinji with curly tail and all. He didn’t bark much; but boy could he run!!!! Sometimes, he got loose and we would have to chase him all over town with the car; we clocked at about 40mph at times.
We had a rooster one time; because we found a chick by the side of the road; I guess it fell off a chick truck; and he was the cutest little furrball you ever saw. My brother named him Tyrannosaurus Rex. Rex was with us until he grew feathers and then he got quite vicious and we had to take him to my aunt’s farm where I’m sure he became Sunday dinner. He was too vicious to last long in the hen house.

Okay, we all need to calm down a little bit, okay.

Joe, methinks it is not wise to bring up this subject with strangers; possibly better said amongst friends that you can gauge their reactions and you theirs? You have a right to be angry; I’m not saying that; discrimination is something I well understand; but this topic only invites trouble.

Everyone has a right to their own opinion; without being judged. Yes, emotions come into play and yes, we can get upset about things; but name calling and implicating get us nowhere. Learn to control your mind (and/or) emotions so they do not control you.
And here is a goodie too, There are three truths; your truth, my truth, and THE truth; it is important to look for The truth, not just stop at mine or yours.

Is utopia possible? Who’s to say; but I’m more interested in the process than actually living there; life without conflict would be dull and we would take everything and everyone for granted.

Come on; we can do better than this! You Canadians; help me out here. Instead of McDonalds on every corner; what would we see?

Skip the focus on Kai girls and think of the creators of Kai, sheesh. This is an exercise in moving beyond one character. get used to it; it’s ending, move on.
The purpose is to get you thinking of what the overall vision has been about LEXX and to make you realize that though MM had a hand in fleshing out the character, other people created him first; trace what you liked back to the source my friends and give credit where credit is due. Then, possibly you can see that these Beans are not a garden variety; they are special guys that you may want to think about supporting in the future with their new endeavors; for if they can come up with this; there is no limit to what might be kicking around in the future.

This was to get you thinking; I guess it failed.

That is an interesting question. That male bonding- slap on the rear type of behavior. I agree that women can be as raunchy as men and should be able to interact freely that way if they choose; but something makes me think it’s a biological or upbringing that takes them back to their mothers teaching them how to act in public.

I believe that on the whole we should show some restraint while we interact with others in a public place but still have fun.
Dancing and acting goofy, yes, tearing up the place, and being obnoxious, no. Loud?
Hell yeah. I usually read a place where I am to gauge how to act; what are others doing, etc…
I was really angered the other night when I was trying to catch a cab after going out and I saw guys pushing over potted trees as they went down the street. Not only have they wasted our tax dollars it’s senseless.
Sometimes, I think men think of women as 2 molds; slut or good girl; and there is no in between. That’s crap. We are complicated creatures all of us inside, but there are definitely times when I go out I feel I am watching Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom. I keep expecting Marlan Perkins to pop up somewhere and begin talking about mating rituals of primates.
I don’t compete; I just sit back and watch the show. That’s me, though.

Oh, Joe, Happy Anniversary to your folks! Mine have been together for almost 50 years.

The Beastie Boys; The Beatles collection, ( I like While My Guitar Gently Weeps for some reason and Here Comes The Sun.) And finally, Company B’s Fascinated.

    Well, Snookie,

The long and the short of it is if you want to hang in it for the long haul.
That is why I tell all my friends you have got to be very careful about who you hook up with because basically what you see is what you get. If he was doing this before, during or after your courtship you know it will be difficult for things to change. You have already accepted the behavior.
If you cannot tolerate being treated like that anymore; then you have let him know with no uncertain terms that you do not want to be treated like this anymore. If he continues, you will tell him, I’m shopping for something else; and finally, if he can’t give you want you need you leave him.

Life is way too short to spend it in the misery of a bad relationship. I’d rather go it alone. At least, I know I can make myself happy.

    just my thoughts.

I agree totally with FG; LEXX has carved out a niche in Sci-Fi history as a definite pioneer of what a lot of shows will try to replicate but not be able to duplicate.
I hope to heavens they did not give us a “happy ending” with Live Kai riding off with Xev. That would be totally gross. I personally would like to see a real twist; something you would never expect, but if the shot the Moderators alluded to in their report is the ending; I know how it ends.
So, if you could (like other shows are doing now), how would you end LEXX; write an alternate ending section but remember this is LEXX not a continuation of Brigadoom only or a prequel of insect wars. Use from the beginning movies up to what you know. We all have a feel for Mr. Donovan’s arc now through The Game so finish it, but the kicker is; you got to use the Bean’s Commandments; the list of what they were not going to do; and you know that this show does not include over syrupy endings. It’s LEXX!!!
Also remember the ending has to fit; it can’t change what has been done. You know, no new characters or implications of arcs or relationships that were not central to the main story. Leaving the characters intact as well as the Bean’s Commandments; what’s the ending?

    Tough at first glance, huh?

Anyway, that’s all I got to say for now.

Oh, by the way, I started watching Lexx after the movies; because it was a satire; it took all the stuff you loved in Star Wars and trashed it all; the romance the resistance to an evil force, etc… and spoofed it entirely and then created a totally unique story and ran with it. In my opinion it’s all good, even “fillers”. How many shows nowadays do you see them talk about this stuff? It’s not as common as it used to be. How many shows have their objective so clear as in they blow up stuff and tried to get laid; but somehow along the way in reaching these simple objectives they
went through not only Heaven and Hell but much much more.

I haven’t heard MM like that before; I think I may have to investigate that.

Wasn’t he in that move Jawbreaker too?

    Anyway, where was I?

The story; LL “ignorance is bliss” basically; that’s a great attitude if the world was perfect; but it’s not and as time progresses this world will be harder and harder to live on. The ice walls are melting in Antartica; no relation? It means the seas will rise and coastal cities may have bigger problems and more water; warmer seas mean more El Nino, changes in weather, that adds up to tough times for us. So you can take the ignorance method; after all,
you or I won’t live forever; but if you have kids or hope to, what kind of future do you leave them?
Don’t get me wrong; I love to have a great time; but life is balancing it all out.
I don’t consider myself a hero at all; I’m just trying to get by like you. Sometimes, just sometimes, though; you have to stand up to people and situations; otherwise nothing changes. So I chose to live a life of action not reaction. You chose your own way.
You can react violently and that changes things, yes, this is true; but what has that done for any of us? Violence begets violence and we all take 2 steps back really to the cave; we all die because we blow up the planet over piddly stuff or natural disasters destroy it for us and we all perish.

Hell, what do you care? You’ll be in heaven right after you die (doubtful) or you’ll just be wormfood (wasted life)

You see what I’m like if I don’t get coffee; you don’t even want to go there if It’s MadDog.

Where am I? Oh yeah, wasn’t I here last night?

Gosh, I need coffee, Tylenol, and a cigarette in that order.

What’s going on? What did I miss?

Hey, is there going to be a fight? I sense
blood in the air; I guess I’ll sit over here quietly and watch the action; hey I’m all for a good fight if it is clean, fair and not over something assinine like….. men, or just because you think you should be tough. That’s crap. Violence never solved a damn thing; but don’t let me stop you; kick the **** out of each other if you want to; as long as no body else gets hurt and since your hand isn’t on the big red button to blow us to kingdom come, get it out of your system so the rest of us can enjoy the evening.

    WHOO HOO!!!! What a song!!!!

    Hey Joe,

Can I tell you a little story?

Once upon A time there was a forest with a river beside it. One day there was a fire in the forest and all the animals escaped to the other side. They all looked back in sadness at the place that was their home for so long and wept. One little bird also shed tears but then a strange thing happened. That little bird began swooping down in to the river and picking up one drop of water flew over the fire and dropped the drop into the inferno.
The bird repeated this behavior at the amazement of the other animals and soon they begin to laugh at her. They asked “What are you doing you silly bird? You can’t put out that fire with one drop of water even if you spend your life doing it.” The bird took a breath and said ” I know, but at least I know I tried and a river, waterfall, or an ocean begins with one drop of water. ” And with this the little bird returns to its task.
It’s all in your actions Joe; and how you feel you want to give; remembering a single drop of water is the beginning of an ocean. the reward; you know you did what you could do.

Enough of that; whose next to sing?

I think a spin-off would be very hard to write and sell. Look at the probs between those of you who enjoyed the earlier seasons and now are not thrilled with s4.
I think you would have to rework the whole thing; yes, include Stan and Priest, Prince and Bunny; but it just would be hard to get them to gel as they are relatively opposite in this go ’round. Stan against the world? Yeah, we all feel like that sometimes but would it sell?
I also think it would be hard to send them back into space after landing on earth; most movies end with landing on earth or wishing they were on earth. After all, it is what we all understand because we are here.
And LEXX, the poor insect; think of what he would have to eat to be able to function properly and go anywhere. Will he eat the whole planet; I doubt it. What of another ship; well, then we get into futurism- time machine and that was not part of the bean’s intent.

I don’t know; it just seems like a lot of work; something that would have to be worked out thoroughly; and I believe that these wonderful Beans would like to move on. I would like to say thank you for your incredible “brain power” and your willingess to push the envelope of Sci-Fi.

Ignoring reality does not make it go away; so they capitalize on the strange and bizarre. That’s the appeal of the show. You should watch HBO’s Real Sex sometime; and these are real peeps.

I guess the season’s appeal is a personal matter for everyone; why everyone likes or in some cases liked the show.

It’s good to see Canada won the hockey gold at the Olympics. Congrats!!!! You know what I would like to see actually; I would like to see a movie about Canada that sort of defines what a Canadian is like; you know more than the McKenzie Brothers.

    HELLLLOOOOOO!!!!!!

This is a parody of American Beauty; you know the movie with Kevin Spacey, and Annette Benning? Guys, take off the space helmets for a while and look around you.

    It was hilarious!!!!!

Rent the movie folks and you will see the correlation.

Cool; do the dead body surf? Or would that be considered bobbing or floating.

It’s a Weekend at Bernie’s kind of look I would suppose; with the sunglasses, Hawaiian shirt and that hair. It could be Kai P. I. or LEXX Five O. An instead of Tiny Bubbles it could be “Tiny Chessman”.

    Hi!!
It sounds lovely; but no go for me this year; I plan to go when I relocate in that area the latter part of next year.

Have a blast; don’t turn into “Lexxian Lounge lizards” too quickly and leave the King where you found him.

Is Henry Kissinger going too? I didn’t know he was a closet Lexxian, hmmm Is he still alive: then he would be “out of the box” I suppose.

    Enjoy.

Sorry part of the ending is from what I wanted to delete. The part about dancing fruit refers to the part i deleted that said the tree thing was good practice for possible later stellar performances unless he lines up a sugar Daddy or Mommy.
That is cruel huh? Well, he does little to keep fans loyal from role to role and since he is not a run of the mill role guy, what will he do; what will he do?

    See ya!!!

    Hello Headgehog,

Since e-mail is not available to me anymore I have to use the board.
So the 20th sounds good to me; but because I may be relocating to the western part of the US; I am hesitating to commit to booking a room; is there a place for last minute bookings? Im thinking of staying at the college. Hey, it’s remniscent of sneaking boys in an all girls dorm.
Anyway, since I do not like autographs; is it possible just to say hi to these lovely people and thank them for their work. I would like to just do that; especially Mr. Downey, Ms. Zentilli, Mr. Gaines, and Mr. Bennett. And would you invite Mr. Simon-sez please?
The chat; hmmmmmm. Who does this guy think he is; the Canadian Gigolo; the Gere of the Great North? He sounds like a gun for hire for criminy sakes. I say we pool our money and insist we get the bad girl special; full frontal. I’m sorry, Chippendales he is not.
And the other two; who writes their material? It was like The Nightmare ep; boys you definitely need a new think tank. IT
WAS LAME!!!!!! At least in the Wizard of OZ the flowers are promise of a real ride;( you
know Poppies) but what state will you get to with sunflowers; an earthy-crunchy high? Break out the birkies, we are going in.
Hey is the bar real though; what was it the Woodside in Dartmouth. Hey is it dark,
smoky, and with a pool table and darts and threat of a brawl permeating the air? Actually I hate violence; and have actually got clocked for breaking up a fightonce butit would not be a good neighborhood bar without a little alcohol- assisted bravado thrown in the mix.
Whywatch lexx, a violent show? Well, I tolerate the violence we live in a violent world but I only tolerate it in fantasy; I work against it in reality. Is that a contradiction; no, I don’t think so. Since I am the center of my universe; just as you are yours; you allow in what you want you keep out what you do not. I tolerate the violence of the show and a degree the sex to get at some of the concepts. A basic example was in that show in series three when Stan was enjoying a fruit salad with 2lovely girls and got worn out. Too much of a good thing may not be too good. Basic concept; pretty packaging; sound familiar?
Well I got to fly; I hope to see y’all.

spots for the dancing fruit commercials Mr. M may be doing later on unless he finds a sugar mommy or daddy to take care of him.
Thusthe rise and fall happens and the dance with oblivion begins. Dear X,
    .
You know you are probably right; but why would three different people trusted enough to moderate a web-site on LEXX and invited to the last party go out of their way to mention these interactions. Do they have a grievance; what would they gain? No, I think they were probably accurate; and since I was not there; you are right I should not assume a thing; you made me feel guilty. I’m sorry.
I just don’t feel it is right to call anyone any names or feel no need to be rude when there are always options; (such as walking away from unpleasant situations or having the
guts to say yeah it bothers me so please don’t do that.)
Okay, you caught me; I do have a bad temper and low tolerance for rude people. I refuse to idolize someone whom in this lifetime is on the upside of things.
All we know is that life changes and we will one day die and we will probably pay taxes on the whole darn thing.
So, I do not waste my time on people who concentrate on the externals and do not work on becoming better people inside; because fortune, fame, and power as well as our physical body changes in time. It’s an
    unavoidable part of life.
What does not change is a youthful, seeking spirit that is open to knowledge in any form; it’s how I know I will remain young even when I cease trying to yank out my grey hairs.
It’s the courage to say I control my own destiny at all times; I am in the driver’s seat; I alone am responsible for EVERYTHING that happens to me; good or bad.
So yeah, I might have been wrong about mentioning my opinion about MM and I do apologize if I really offended anyone. I just
reacted like I do when I see any being arrogant about anything.

I like the quote from Gary Zukav, “Interactions between souls (people) is a priviledge, not a right.”
    Take care you “nefarious one”.

    Hello all,

Yes, I think I will hang on the letter for now; (though it might find its way to the grey circular file) sorry JJ.
I would return it in person; but I don’t plan on seeing him in the flesh unless he un-conventions in Halifax this year and why pray tell would he ever do such a thing if he dislikes the fans soo much.
And my lovely mod squad ladies; is anyone going to invite Mr. Simon-sez to last bash; I think it would be nice. Hey, the more men… I mean the more the merrier.
And what are these get-togethers about; is there an agenda; I say kamikazes and karaoke, but knowing me, if I get bored talking LEXX (oh God, is that a mortal sin at an un-convention?) I’ll go make my own fun; you know, find the seedy underbelly of Halifax nightlife.
So I guess I’ll have to study previous un-conventions to know what to expect. Yikes,
if it’s all that Brunnen-G song and oohing/aahing just another fellow human being I will definitely have to make my stay short and sweet. But if….. it’s a par…ty…. oh yeah I’m there.

    Hi MM,

You are probably right; I’ll just send it back to Salter Street (it was on their stationary).

And the Priest reference; a joke ha ha.

I guess you people take this show very seriously; I never really could.
