i know i certainly don’t listen to what others listen to; now I’m listening to the soundtrack from Dusk to Dawn, a smidge of both Lou Reed and Billy Idol. don’t ask me why; the need to hear a certain song is like the need to get down ideas fast; stuff just jumps at me and I got to say something.

    Go figure.

I guess i would not say soul; the Doors’ song comes to mind; you know the line “another lost angel”; that’s kind of what I mean.

Are you going to let me live now?

I have nothing against Ms. Seeburg; but i must disagree to an extent FG; a “soul”- ful person does not fleece the public. It’s not good PR to push something that is questionable. It’s like shooting yourself in the foot.

May be she is unaware of this; but she will be when the first fan sues because what she promoted doesn’t work right, etc… She is really sticking her neck out and though admirable, the repercussions could be quite grave. I hope she gets out of it soon.

I think you have to go back to basics for that one in the fact that The Game was about Kai’s destiny and the Time prophet had more to play in this than Lyekka. The latter was important for the reinvention of Zev and a motivation for Stan and ended as an adversary for Kai but in the cycle of time we see the prophecy was more important to Kai’s development.

Well, it’s time to get out the ceremonial drums and the 10 celestial virgins to sacrifice to the all powerful Beanies;(or was the UnCon? I get so easily confused nowadays.

I’m working on my own story now and trying to move, etc… I get some ideas confused so sorry. Well, when the ideas come i just write or type them down; (yeah, I’m the type that writes down ideas on napkins, scraps of paper, etc…) So I think I was working out something else when I suggested for this story.

I will try to the best of my ability to

A.) Stay out of the way

    and/or

B.) contribute more than gibberish which means that I won’t write until at least Nov. 1st which means I’ll revert to part A ; stay out of the way.

Yeesh, in other words, I’m just going to lurk until I’ve resettled.

Happy Birthday: it sounds like you had a lot of fun. Mine is December 27; you know the kind that you always got one saved Christmas present instead of a birthday present!

Good to know there are hockey fans out there; I’ll be going to the Midwest in 3 weeks and back to supporting the Chicago Blackhawks though i have not had a chance to watch a lot of the sport in recent years (working on other things). Ah, Chicago; the Art Institute and Navy Pier. It does a heart good to think about it.

Ms. Paulexx I guess I’m missing out on the begining of the show.

PLEASE NO TIME TRAVEL; been there did that ad nauseum.

I just thought that someone can gradually teach Kai about his past while alive and not create him at 2 ends of a spectrum; one dead one too naive thus heroic but ends up dead before his time; a balance so may be he can actually enjoy a life.

I think Kai should fall through a portal and land in someone’s attic; not just any person; but an old woman (?) and she’s NOT EXACTLY THRILLED because she’s already had a lot of leftover “souls ” land in her attic.

This lady though is no real lady. She takes the form of whatever she wishes; she has a pet named Helios that also takes whatever form she needs; from a kitten that sits on her lap to a vicious lion that tears out throats.

To facilitate those who fall through; she is a form they choose to see; angry entities see Helios first held loosely by a little child to facilitate how anger may have the effect of acting without little control or thought but can be deadly (and is
    protective/ survival measure). Other emotions
    bring out another response.

Point being? Just thinking of how this character can be occupied and how the brace can possibly appear and disappear ( he was taught to control his emotions to a degree.)

Okay, it’s stupid; but I tried

Oh yeah, and BTW we are not all so removed from reality that we like to talk about this show. For me personally, it’s entertaining; because in reality i work in Intensive Care Units and today I’m working in a Pediatric ICU and yesterday 1 baby was admitted that is less than two months old whose father spanked him and shook him so hard he stopped breathing. Don’t tell me about “real life” okay?

, honey do you need a glass of water or something; may be put your head between your knees?

It’s ok; even for a cult show and one not well advertised LEXX had and has a following; and like anything that is different new peeps find it every day. Besides, the important thing is that it inspires others to try something; whether that be making a video game or writing a story or creating art or even finding the courage to post. There may be no more Lexx my friend but with all thse good intentions, and ideas swirling around may be someone will create something that could be a futuristic Vonnegut.

I liked this ep when it aired and the funny thing is that Electropolis Studio is on the harbor and while we were there was a Norwegian Cruise ship docked. I was singing “The Love Boat” theme while we tried to find Electropolis.

Personally, I still like the idea of a male-sort of replacement semi-lead that changes every few eps; why fence us in for eye candy. A type of character to off set Prince in a new universe.
In order to play The Game they went to another universe; I say let’s go there with baby LEXX; something newly formed can have scads of possibilities for undercurrents and arcs and can stretch a lot of imagination.

You can make the new male of he cast as unobtainable as Kai (I’ve met a few peeps that are just as good as dead in my time) and give us more than brooding dark looks. Cripes, some of the actors out there are gorgeous and I’m not just talking the caucasian ones.
Throw a little diversity in the mix and see what happens; put out some male bait and see what bites and then stick with that.

A movie is what is needed now to either sum up everything or to jump start something new.

    Just my song and dance

I can’t wait to see these pics; it was soo hard to find peeps to take pics of there! They had a free for all in not only Sci-Fi but whomever wanted to dress up . I saw the two dudes from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas for heaven’s sake. It was a masquerade ball that lasted 3 days. I saw a lot of interesting stuff and some I really hope I never see again. It was anything goes.

HDS your friend as HDS was incredibly funny; I do love his impression of Mini Divine Shadow; quite funny. Too bad in the original his Badness couldn’t get the chicks he had at DC. Like Darth Vader there, chicks dig him.

I’m waiting for your report Miss Frey, you had better have that on my desk soon or you will fail this course (j/k sweetie) Actually you would be a good Time Prophet; me I’m not one for costumes; first of all I can never decide what I like; I want a sword and there was no LEXX stuff with swords.

I guess a cleric would be ok if I carry a staff and have freedom to wear what i want under the robe. And the hood, doing nothing without a good hood to hide my face.

Well, got to get back to RL.

Me, again. I leave tomorrow for the long way to Atlanta. I’ll be on the dark Side of the moon for about 4 days (unless I find an internet cafe) so these are my little plans. I will being doing the Six Flags scream during the week so that if others want to go during the weekend I can point the way (I’ll go again). I’ ll probably do the museum look see to while I’m there. Thursday, when I switch hotels to the Day’s Inn, I want to check out Underground Atlanta. So here’s what I’m saying; if you would like to join me on Thursday in town you can meet me in front of the Day’s Inn on Peachtree say about 8:00 pm. I’ll hang out until about 8:15- 8:30pm. I have nothing Lexxian as of yet so I’ll be wearing my red or the Hawaii Five-O edition of Chuck Taylor high top shoes; they are red and orange; you can’t miss them. I’m going to go in search of a wasberry kamakaze shot; they ARE my new drink of choice.

Jhevz I haven’t forgotten about you; I will stop back around 11pm at the Super 8 to see if you are up to outness. There will be no way to reach me after 11pm tonight so if you are not in the lobby of the Super Eight at 11pm I will hopefully hook up with you later on during the weekend. I’m not driving to these places, I am walking so times may be
    approximate.

Ms. Frey I will be available by cell; no way I’m putting my number on this open forum. You may reach me that way.

If I don’t see you all have a great time and be safe and take lots of incriminating photos.

    Peace All,
    Me

Road runner said it about just right. There might be a lot of Lexxians running around; hiding in the shadows but Newbie in talking to others via the boards or putting up the sites. BTW, I’d like to make a huge apology to Lexxians new and experienced. I was totally floored when meeting the few I did have a chance to talk to here and in person. I thought you all just liked the actors above all and just went along with the story line, but I’m an idiot. There is so much diversity in this group of people it leaves me in awe. I’m very sorry for my lack of knowledge.

My humble opinion is that no matter your reason and no matter when you tuned in from the way grass roots and humble beginnings to the last The End, if it entertained you, made you laugh, sing, write, paint, smile or set up a web page or just think, then what greater gift could you give these wonderful people or to yourself for that matter.

Do you want to read spoilers little ones: go ahead: look around; you are bound to find what you like. If not, ask. If someone hassles you try another board. You have a right to say what’s on your mind, but if you would please also listen because that is how I learned a lot and I learned i was not the only one who liked this show. Iread the spoilers because I was late in missing the seasons; but it was the little things I think that made it special. Things like a certain shot or a line delivered; an expression.

So if you are new to LEXX have at it; if you are new to posting jump right in; the water is fine.

Why can’t I mail anyone anymore? That’s why I’m really having a problem with computers now and try to avoid them. I do not understand why this private message thing will not work now. This is stupid. I can’t find out any info because I can’t get a hold of anyone. I wanted to go to Atlanta but what is the point if I can’t get a hold of anyone. It’s like Hali; if you are not constantly online you had no clue what was going on; I had no way of knowing what was going down because I don’t have a computer of my own now. It reeks of exclusiveness and
exclusionism and I will not have any part of it. I will go to Atlanta; but I can’t support a show if I don’t know what’s going on. Can someone please devise a system non-computer related; if I recall they did work 20-30 years ago.

This is what I plan to do; I plan on arriving on Tuesday of next week. I will spend 2 days checking out the city on my own. Thursday I will switch hotels to The Day’s Inn I think it’s on Peachtree; I am Norma you can leave a message. I plan on heading to SixFlags on Thursday or Friday to avoid the lines on a holiday weekend. I have no shirt from Lexx so I’ll have to rely on pics I’ve seen to try to meet those that are going. Who knows at this point?
I want to meet other Lexxians but if it’s this much of a hassle why bother? I mean most of us want the same thing right? isn’t that why we”re going; isn’t that why we are talking? We have something in common; an admiration for this show whether it’s the character(s) you love or one show or a season(s) I don’t care why you liked the show it’s just important you did; it sends a message that there are people that want more than what’s been offered to us. So, we found something in this show; hopefully it inspires one of us or someone else to try something different.

I’m going really early so I can do what I usually do ( and what I could not do in Hali) which is to travel around and walk around a city to get a feel for it.

Well, that’s not exactly true. In Hali, after a trip to the Seahorse Thursday night that culminated with a bubble fest and watergun fight and the carving of our names in a bench; we met friends of another dude we newly met and preceded to have a parade down the street about 2 am in the morning where we met up with a street magician who showed us card tricks and some punk chick who rode our other new friends skateboard down the street and practiced tricks; all as we walked back to the dorm.
My famous pearl of wisdom that night if I remember is: I Can Follow if I can Keep you in Sight. They thought is was profound; I thought I was just me yacking as usual.

We also found out in a small way other Hali peeps view of LEXX (when they knew what it was) and it was interesting to say the least.

So this time I’ll try to vacation in Atlanta. I keep telling myself it will be different; I will be on my own and I won’t feel like Mother Hen and have the freedom to go if I need to. So, I’ll scope the area for the closest bar, the cutest bartender and or waitstaff, best coffee, nearest coffee, closest drugstore, and for me the closest karoake bar, and how to get to SixFlags the fastest to ride coasters ( not neccesarily in this order)Oh, and I’ll hit an art museum if I get a chance.
I can try to hook up with you Jheva but for now I think I’d better room by myself in case I have to leave the festivities too soon.

Thanks Camelyn; it was a great writeup; but I have a little wish list. I wish I may I wish I might….. 1.) Got to play a little pool at the Electropolis Studio tour; but I saw no balls, no cues.

2.) Get to smoke a ceegar at The Shoe Shop ( you can’t smoke one until after 11pm and I thought the Blue laws in Mass. were bad).

3.) had the courage to mention the Ceement Pond at the Q and A; or start singing the Beverly Hillbillies song. I was way too hungover to try that one.

4.)a grant of immunity for mass murder of high school cheerleaders at any cheerleading camp especially if they wake you up at 5am practicing cheers in the hallway of the dorm you are sleeping in especially after stumbling in 3 hhrs earlier. “Ready? Okay….”

    That’s all for now.

Hey, that’s what makes road trips exciting you never know if you are really going to get there or not. That’s okay, I’ve crashed cars.. I mean parties before; no biggie.

My friend met someone who goes to Hali every year and he gave us a list of bars to check out like the “Liquerdome” (sounds tantalizing) or “Strawberry Hill” (hey, that’s the ripple I used to drink back when I was a new and upcoming lush). We both agreed to stay out of the popular places as much as possible to really cop…I mean..

Yes, Frey YES!!!!! Though no more Kai; give us something else so, what type of being is there but unavailable; I say something being like Prince; someone to pop in to give Zev and the ladies a stir but then pop out for a while. Hey, it would be cheaper to have someone only part time and it would be easier for said actor to do other work. Or, as I suggested before; a variety of different eyecandy to play the “hero” and depending how they work they stay or go. But, Frey you are right; your choice is excellente!!!!

I think of the song from Jesus Christ Superstar called “What’s the Buzz” when I think of fate. Why do you want to know? Live your life in the moment and let tomorrow take care of itself. If you are happy, your loved ones are happy and you are not hurting others or yourself then don’t worry about it.
I’m not Christian but did not Jesus say “do unto others as you want you to do unto you.” Isn’t that more important than what the future may bring? With “Third World Countries” like India and Pakistan who both have nuke capabilities and a lot of groups developing bio weapons; I’d worry more about making sure those I love know I love them and that they are as safe as possible.

this is what happens when things get unbalanced in our world; what a world what a world. We worry more about how we look, and how we appear to others than who we are. As if that really matters. Like someone said, you can call God what ever you want; you can can call him Mickey Mouse if you want to but it doesn’t change the essence of what God is. It is the same with each of us, a liar doesn’t become an honest man just because someone says he is. Everything comes to light eventually and the true colors of every person reveal themselves in time.
I am who I am; that’s all that matters to me; the good or bad that anyone can say to me or about me does not change who I am one iota. So, I don’t take the road well traveled and blame everybody and everything for MY life. It’s mine; I take full responsibility for it. To blame others for your misfortune is lazy and counterproductive and honestly stupid.

And to this that one/two of the big talent ie… Ms. Seeburg and Mr. McManus wanted to moveon in their careers as well as the writers were tired of writing the same old formula dialogue. They have been working on this; trying to PLEASE YOU since LEXX’s conception around 1994 and look at how you treat them. Not only that, how about how you totally dissed the work of Mr. Kaines and Ms. Zentilli and Ms. Wischerman.
I’m so sorry you were embarrassed in frontof your friends because you deemed LEXX was not the show it was. Horse Hockey!!!! Rent or buy the old stuff and be happy with that then; stop whining about it here. And guess what? LEXX is over and you are killing the chance of any kind of Sci-Fi like LEXX.

I don’t know about you but Iloved the humor of Series 4; so what about the all encompassing arcs? I give the Beans kudos for taking on suburbia in Prime Ridge; The Game and being open about everything from anal humor to war. That’s what I love about it; that they were not afraid to try out new stuff or put a new spin on the old. I, personally found the “popular eps” trite (like Vlad- you’ve seen one vamp you’ve seen them all) or even Yo Way Oh (c’mon we all knew he was going to die). I miss the option of watching a Sci-Fi show like LEXX; whether it was good or bad in relation to its past. I personally prefer the movies over all of the series; but I watched the series not because of one or two characters I thought were good but because LEXX was and is different.
If it was not what you wanted to see; well then may be you should have wrote the Beans, or e-mailed them etc… about what YOU wanted; I do not think they live in Siberia: mail and e-mail does arrive in Canada. True, they may not have listened to you; BUT they might have; now you will never know because you lack of support basically is smothering Baby LEXX before she has even lived.

And some more tidbits for those inclined:

From “The Bad’s Girl’s Guide to the Open Road”

    A-hem… (clearing my hand/throat)

‘Small Things to do in A Big City’

*Check the local paper and find an art gallery where you can drink lots of free wine.

*Get on a bus, grab a transfer, and ride around the city all afternoon.

*Enter a poetry slam and read your bad road haiku.

*Ask directions with a fake French accent and see how many answers you can get.

    * Sing “This Land is your Land, This Land is My Land” at open mike night

    *Join a picket line

*Go to a multiplex theatre and see how many movies you can sneak into before getting thrown out.

    * Visit the zoo and feed the animals

*Go to a fancy hotel and crash a wedding reception

    *Find the nearest karaoke bar

*Drive around ahead of the meter maid and feed quarters into all the expired meters

    * Get a free makeover at the cosmetics counter in a department store

    *Get a tattoo

*Go to a police station and claim to have been abducted by aliens.

*Volunteer to be a hair model at any salon that will take you.

*Go to a bar in the financial district that serves free food at happy hour and eat up while scamming drinks from businessmen.

The BIG TIP: Always be on the lookout for Elvis. If you’ve spent anytime exploring, you know that the King lives on in the hearts ang closets of many people. once you open your heart and invite him into your life, he may appear before you. just keep the faith and keep your eyes open- it happens.
