ParticipantIt was a pretty good movie.
So good in fact. I will most likely go see it again. The last Disney movie I liked this much was The Littlest Mermaid.
theFrey
ParticipantLast I talked to him he has moved to Atlanta.

Participant*thefrey* does a happy dance!!!

ParticipantAgreeded. Perhaps it is a good thing that he has lived so long. Apparently he needs the time to work thru his issues.
One would think that living long enough, one would eventually grow to understand what they are looking for in a spouse…. and how to avoid those little pot-hole of domestic discord like…. adultery. Even theSpouse wondered about that one. He said, "geeze, it’s not like the guy isn’t going to out live her. And even then, he will be young enough to get another looker."
theFrey
ParticipantHa! Very good. Can’t wait. 🙂
theFrey
ParticipantEmperor Palpatine of Star Wars of course.
But this was funny too. Ever wonder what Storm Troopers did after the rebels won? Oh, the company they are keeping now. Check this link out. 😉

Participant
I watched ‘Night At The Museum’ with my daughter and we both totally loved it!
So did theSpouse. He watched it last week at the hotel while I was visiting some GF’s. Of course, we were going to watch it together, but he was bored and not inclined to wait on my schedule.
‘sokay. He said just wait until the next time we go away and charge it to his card.
What I am really waiting to see this weekend is the new SHREK. 😀
What can I say, I am a sucker for large eyed kitty cats. Puss Rules!theFrey
ParticipantYes, classic cheesy seventies sci-fi. 😉
theFrey
ParticipantNo! Well that does suck. I also liked Freakazoid!
Hummm, perhaps I sould check youtube and see if they have any Wayland and Madame clips. 🙂
theFrey
ParticipantVery Funny. I have spent the last week in Pittsburgh looking for a new house, perhaps that makes me less bitter about being stranded in Texas. 😉
😀 😀 😀 😀 Only one year, nine months and twenty four days left til I can move! 😀 😀 😀 😀
theFrey
ParticipantLogan’s Run. One of the few things I enjoyed about moving to Texas was getting to go look at the fountains featured in the end of the movie.
theFrey
ParticipantSadly, I can’t get it to work on my system. I hear sound but no picture. 🙁
theFrey
ParticipantNow, now now. As I am sure you have noticed we have serveral things going on with all the postings and replys.
Besides, sci-fi is serious stuff. ;D

Participant
No wonder his hair has gone grey.
He most likely is just someone who started to go grey early. I know he was getting his roots touched up towards the end of season 4. So he had at least started then.

Participant
MMM Twack. Um, what does that mean please?
Mister Michael McManus The wonderful actor characterizing Kai.
Funny you should ask, MMM Twack is my response to a vicious troll attack against another poster who had the nerve to use his last name with out an honorific. What were they thinking? It was pretty sad really. Calling him Michael would get you jumped (depending on who YOU were) for being too familiar, calling him McManus was declared to be addressing him like a servant or minion. On certain boards and with certain people you really could not win, no matter how you referred to him. So I decided to cover ALL the bases; formal, respectful, descriptive. No problem right?
Ummm, no. I ended up getting jumped on for satirizing the jumpees by being overly cautious. Some days ya just can’t win. 😀 Ah well.
speaking of trolling – I blame season 4. :P
Well perhaps, but I found that tag team trolling was well established when I first joined the boards prior to season 4. Like I said just blame Canada. Oh! Or better, let’s blame Bush!
theFrey
Participant
I blame World of Warcraft. :D
I blame Canada.
Oh wait. That’s a song title.
One of the main things that an actor has to be able to do is network like a bad dog. Your best networkers are not moody or withdrawn, tendencies which MMM TWACK admits to in previous interviews.
Also, Mr. Donovan said that as a general rule directors/producers like to work with people they already know. Mainly, because it is easier for them. I imagine as an actor, this could be a problem if your main directors slow down, or move in a direction that doesn’t call for much talent usage.
Seriously, a lot of people shy away from commenting about anything concerning MMM Twack. Heck, just discussing his height opened posters up to Trolls and Flaming. God forbid you should discuss anything of substance. The world as we know it may come to an end. 😉

ParticipantHello Back At Ya. 😀
I am also a big fan in the states. I wish they would have gone ahead and made that movie, but I guess that is finally a dead deal. 🙁

ParticipantDedicated. 😀
I have not seen that promo. I wonder if it was just a little nothing that the station came up with that never made it back to Salter Street.

ParticipantI think we need a GWBush version of ‘Peter’s Evil Overlord List’
You know some simple bullet (ha) point list of things that GW has learned and the next Bush (Jeb?) can use so that his total domination of the world runs a little smoother.
Although I do think they could list one or two from the main list. Had Bush followed even these few, his domination plans would have gone much smoother.

Participant
Publishers, like all entertainment fielders, like to tap a product for as much $$ as they can get. But I’m sure they would dismiss such a point by claiming the hard-cover versions are the traditional first editions of almost every book, at least in the academic and intellectual fields.
Well it also use to be traditional that wife’s and children were the property of the head of the household, oh and that dumping waste in a stream use to be the traditional way of getting rid of industrial by-products. 🙂
Times change. Hug a tree and print a paperback.
theFrey
ParticipantIt is kind of hard to pop a book in your pocket or purse or read it in bed if the freaking thing is a huge honking hunk-o-dead tree.
Also, concussing your sleepy customers with a 5lb slab of book can be dangerous. I have wacked my self in the head several times over the years by drifting off when reading in bed. Heck, Shogun nearly took me out permanently when it fell out of my hands.
If not a safety issue, perhaps they need to make it an environmental one. Think of all the trees they could save by not catering to some writer/editor ‘my books in hardback’ ego.
Hummmm….. where can I find me a shyster lawyer with time on his hands, or a tree nut with a gun would be better……

ParticipantWell, I have just purchased ten boxes of Christmas Cards for next year, packed them in the clearly marked wrapping and christmas card box and sent it back out to it’s shelf in the garage.
I’m ready for next year…. are you?
Muhahahahaha!

ParticipantThis space intentionally filled with sappy rambling text.
On this day of days, I of course like to reflect upon my blessings for the year.
TheSpouse made it thru his little broken leg incident okay.
TheBrother did not get fired for being a terminal irritation, but rather was promoted and given a raise. (go figure?!?)
TheFather and theFatherGF are both happy and healthy… even if they do open their presents way ahead of time, which means I have to send more of them. 😛
TheStepFather is doing well and really, really likes the boxes and boxes of heat patches I sent for his back. (the jury is still out on the microbead back warmer for bedtime)
TheMechanicEmployee passed relativity peacefully in his sleep after a very short time. Arrangements made, enabled him not to worry about his finances, both during and afterwards. We all appreciate the fact that it could have been much worse for him and his family. TheOtherEmployees are doing well.
TheFamily endured no drama this year. Let’s hear it for boredom!
TheFriends are all doing well, no drama there either.
Rover the Cat, Noche the Retired Warehouse Cat and theStupidSpouseDog are all doing well. TheSpouseDog Blaze is particularly spry after his operation this summer. Still round mind you, but spry. 😉
Here is hoping that next year is as good, if not better.

ParticipantHopefully the ones that didn’t get it were family members. After all they are, what they are. We don’t get to choose, we just love them anyhow.
If they were freinds…. you might want to upgrade a few of them in the ‘Smartz’ department. 😆

ParticipantGeeeze Tony, you should be proud. I put in a ton of terms, some of which are quite well know, and nothing came up for them.

ParticipantSadly for Santa (and theSpouse) I could not think of anything I wanted (outside of a winning lottery ticket) that I do not already have, or could not get if I wanted it.
Sucks…. Warm nightgowns and fluffy comforters are about the extent of my wish list this year. Pathetic I know… usually my list comes with a set of specs at least a page long. ; 😀
I love the Norad site. 😀 When I was a kid the local radio station would announce when Santa had been spotted heading into the Ontario area of Canada. That was bedtime for those of us in Buffalo. I discovered the Norad site a few years ago, and have made a pest of myself announcing it in #Lexx on fef.net. 😀

ParticipantBlade Runner did not follow the original story very closely. Normally for me, that is a kiss of death. But…. it was stylish, tight and over all worked with the story line changes that were made. It was one of the better Sci-fi movies I have ever seen. 😀
theFrey
Participantah, so you have already experienced that heady feeling of power and freedom.
Sigh….. those were the days.

ParticipantSongs that match their seasons. Am I the only one who likes to have seasonal mood songs?
I guess I am not much of a spring person, since this is the one season I don’t automatically think of any certain song when I think about that season. But… if I do think about it a minute, I guess I would have to go with the Eurythmics and their song, Here Comes The Rain Again.
Summer – Luke Skywalker And Indiana Jones – Phil Pritchett. This one reminds me of being tossed out of the house in the summer time and thinking up the weirdest things to entertain our selves.

You can’t really tell it from the sample here, but the lead in to the song, is so totally after Thanksgiving with snippletts of the salvation army kettle bells. The way they use to be, when real bell ringers did them, not as they are now with part time temps. ( I liked this song when Simon and garfunkle did it, but now… I can’t even listen to their version.)

Heck, any more, anything that the Sci-fi channel does is automaticially not original. 😉

ParticipantWell heck.
For the next show I want to talk about the Girl Genius Comic by Phil Foglio and his lovely wife. the Girl Genius’ tag line is it is an ongoing “gaslamp fantasy” story Girl Genius follows the career of Agatha Heterodyne—a hapless student at Transylvania Polygnostic University who discovers that she has more going for her than she thought. Agatha Clay, discovers that she is a young Mad Scientist (or “Spark” to be polite.)
What is Gaslamp Fantasy you ask? According to theFoglio’s, it has influences that include Jules Verne and H. Rider Haggard. It is also called “steampunk.” It has big, clanking Victorian-style tech, old-fashioned clothes, Frankenstein monsters and airships. Lots and lots of airships. It’s not exactly magic. It’s not exactly science. It is a little of both, it’s Mad Science!
*********Spoilers *****
Agatha is also the last of the famous Heterodyne family—beloved heroes who disappeared under mysterious circumstances many years ago. Her Father Bill, was one of the Heterodyne Boys. Her mother Lucrezia is the daughter of one of the most powerful villian’s of their day. But all have disappeared. Folk legend claims that they will someday return, but so far they haven’t managed it.
They left Agatha in the care of two constructs, Punch and Judy who raised her as their own. Until the Baron scooped her up by accident and took her to his flying ‘Hindenberg-like’ castle. They are currently running two tracks. The beginning of the story

ParticipantLexxverse? Fourth time is a charm. 😉
Mega-Con will be in Florida. I knew that, but from the people telling me about the California con, there possibly was a bit of confusion there. This link has a lot of the info missing from the front page. https://protected6.purehost.com/d30063092/ordering.asp
If you go there, make sure you check out Vito’s Chop House which is beside the Castle Double Tree Hotel. It was very nice. I was seated with an entire table full of male Lexxians and I don’t think I have ever seen such blissful expressions in my life. They were in protein heaven. 😀 http://www.vitoschophouse.com/

Sadly, I already have about 40 or so of my box cards signed, stamped and addressed. So that is what every one is getting. Deal. 😉

ParticipantLots of people went, but not sure if anyone from here did. Apparently one of the major Russian sites was offered a lot of exclusive stuff from that year, but I understand there were conditions and things attached, so we may or may not see that. Ah well. Perhaps he will join Xenia in Orlando this February.
