Well I’m a UK’er but I couldn’t give a monkeys about spoilers. I invariably end up purchasing the videos before they hit tv anyway. I don’t have cable etc, and don’t intend to get it just to watch Lexx[as much as I love it]
I’ve seen ep1 S4 ‘cos I went to uncon. I’ve forgotten quite a bit of it already ,[godbless my geriatric brain]
So even if I do happen to stumble onto a spoiler, chances are I’ll have forgotten what I’ve read 2 days down the line anyway 
also, from what I can gather, people occaisionally misinterpret what they’ve seen anyway
so chances are you’ll still have some surprises once you see the real thing Perhaps I’m just too chilled to care

As pointed out MM as well as paul and Nigel were out of the country on the actual weekend
However a couple of people did manage to meet MM before and after the event. Alas I was not one of them. With my usual brilliant timing I just missed him, quite literally by 2 hours.
Wolfclan actually did an interview with him, but I don’t know when or if she is going to publish.

As I said been there done that. In fact I left school 23 years ago! I did my degree slightly later than normal, but I can still empathise with ‘A’ levels. I hated school music/PE kept me sane I just went crazy when I left haha.
Uiversity was great, I’d go back to that no probs, I’d do a different degree though. Uni was much better than real life…sighKog

The ‘A’ levels are real bummers as you accumulate points depending on the grades you acquire. These point are what counts when you are applying for university, this goes for the highers too I think. I’ve never taken highers but with ‘A’levels it’s about what happens on the day of the exam. You can have an A grade average over 2 years, but if your brain aint in gear on the day…..
I think in terms of the tension ‘A’ levels are the pittshope that has helped

I find the most annoying thing is that here in the UK, you are never sure when Channel 5[the only channel I can watch it on,I dont have cable etc] is actually showing it. They had no intention of showing season 3 until after all of the videos had come out anyway.
I had seen some of the tv eps before the videos, and as far as I could tell they hadn’t censored it in the UK. I could be wrong though.
Personally I think the sex in Lexx is negligible as no one gets any anyway[at least not in any graphic detail]As you say there appears to be much worse stuff that is allowed to “slip” through the net. I sometimes think that Lexx is “punished” for it’s honesty. Some tv companies seem to think that if you soft focus something and call it erotica that somehow, that makes it better and therefore exempt from the censorship that Lexx appears to have suffered.
I believe in the US they don’t even show Lexx in sequence! As you say cutting the so called “porno” bits doesn’t exactly inhibit the continuity of the show. I don’t know how much of Michael’s nudity was axed in S3, but it was fairly justifiable in terms of the Kai character I would have thought? No doubt though some US censor would be reaching for the scissors

have you got the vids for the 1st/2nd series yet! There are some interesting snippets that explain about the CGI. Apparently they changed to green screen because it was a more compatible colour in Computer “language” It’s easier to transfer info from one format of filming to another apparently. This means that when the live action images are put into the computer to add the CGI it is much easier for the computer to ananlyse and mesh the two together.
The food apparently is made of cold rice pudding for the gooey stuff and mash potato for the firmer stuff + dyed with food colouring.It can be a bit stale too apparently
Don’t know about the story board. I do know that it gives Paul a headache though trying to keep up with it and coordinate everything. He does enjoy the challenge though judging by the interviews on the end of the Lexx videos[seasons 1+2]

I don’t think it’s meant to make sense. Paul Donovan’s a physicist [as we all know] so I’m sure he’s aware of the lack of continuity. Perhaps he’s allowing these to provide a bit of light/heavy discussion for those of you who want to get wound up about it.
Speaking as someone who has a leaning towards biology/chemistry I’ve long since concluded that there is absolutely no point trying to get my head around the indiscrepancies. Yes they are blatant but it is a fantasy show as well as a SciFi. I think it’s called artistic licence
Go on let the beans have their fun, ya know it makes sense. After all, the show is supposed to be the antithesis [according to the beans]of all of those politically/scientifically correct scifi shows. There are plenty of those shows to go aroundKog2
