Okay, it’s time for me to put my 2 in; I’m sure I will either kill the thread or be attacked but hell….. why not. This is your friendly public anouncement.

Feelings of anger and sadness are natural after tragedies such as 9/11; or the brutal slaying or imprisonment of innocents but revenge and justice are not the same thing. Many times revenge masquerades as justice but it is not. An “eye for an eye” cannot work anymore not in an age of WMD; more will be lost than the eye. The Al=Qaeda believed they were right and justified in what they did; we believe we are right to retaliate.
Hell, if we cannot be peaceful in our own lives how can we expect it at a larger level? How do you react when someone cuts you off in traffic or a salesperson is snippy to you. If we can’t be human to each other in the small scale it’s insanity to think it will happen globally.
Let’s get back to basics…. and employ a new and exciting counter weapon……. HUMANISM!!!!

Um …can i ask a kinda related LEXX question 😳 . I pulled out my “won” CD from Dragon Con (BTW thanks Aleck and Acorn) from my stash; and watched The Rock. Where was that filmed? Was it in Newfoundland? Oh and I loved the subtitles to Newfoundland-ese… that was hilarious 😆
I ask because the bargain bin yielded up amovie called “Deeply” to me…. with Kirstin Dunst and that took place in Nova Scotia and that was produced by this Wolfram Tichy guy; who is that masked man? He’s got his fingers in all the pies of the area it seems; good and bad. And is it a Maritimes thing to have young German women remove their tops; I mean it was in the bargain basement DVD for cripes sake.
I have not seen The Rock since it aired on TV. Brud P makes the old skin crawl, eh? Well, this movie “Deeply” was very strange.

Not that it matters much to anyone anymore but bluegrass is the choice for me now including the tune “I’ll Fly Away” and “I Am Weary” from the O Brother Where Art Thou soundtrack and “Crazy Fate” and “Take Me For Longing” from the album New Favorite- Allison Kraus and Union Station.

There is not much I watch anymore. I’ve always been a movie person rather than a series person; though my friend told me to watch “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” it’s entertaining at times.
I, to, read more than I watch; that way I take my imagination out for a spin and not someone else’s. Everything is too visual for me now; i find it dull, dull, dull. Well there are, in the belief system I have ….. 10 factors in life; appearance is only one of 10. I’m exploring the other ten freely while bombarded by appearance everywhere.
I think they should do an ep to rival Brigadoom called Tweedle-dude-Tweedle- done …..set …in the wilds of Newfoundland with an “All That Jazz” feel. 790 can be the bitchity choreographer on a modified 4-wheeling cart that goes around the dancers…. snipping at them to jump higher or something. And the chorus line can be the fans now; with the final sequence a feathered and sequined affair with BD in a red tux with the 4 on the top hat. We could adapt the song “What I Did for Love” for “What I Did for LEXX.” You know it’s got everything location shots and that Vegas feel now we need the love interest and some sort of mental anguish 🙄
Uh-oh Lexathon be careful of your wording. It sounds like you are saying that “true” LEXX fans will back them through kingdom come on anything LEXX. That’s not neccessarily a fan but really says fanatic. I think we discussed the difference before. If you want fanatics target them; if you want both ….well….. it would depend on the story now would it not? We all were drawn to LEXX for as many reasons as there are stars in the sky and over the years many have come and gone. I actually did closure on it in DC but does that mean I wouldn’t pick up the comic, or be supportive of those who created the show? No, but don’t sell it on name alone; sell it on merit unless making money is what they want to do.
I may not be the extroverted type and I had other things to do than hang around with the cast at DC so enlighten me and humor me. What is the comic book doing? And for cripes sake do it in text; I cannot access any filming that happened at MegaCon or at DC. I want it text if possible. Not all of us have new computers 😥
I know people hate Disney but I loved what they did with the Japanese anime of Spirited Away. All of that imagination! It was exciting to watch and this…. THIS is kiddie stuff about a ten year old girl. it wasn’t steeped in sex; it has some violence yes but it was captivating.
Do not sell out LEXX; hold out for the right story to pursue.
This is my report; moments gleaned from DC that have more sway on my heart than any thing else.
It was joking with the airport security about “my leg” that got stuck in the suirvelllance machine (I wear a brace for my ankle)
It was sitting with 4 strangers at the Hard Rock Cafe, enjoying 3 and 1/2 hurricaines (and i have the glass to prove it )and laughing our heads off about various topics from the Atlanta Braves to why men like breasts.
it was getting lost in the heart of Atlanta, exhausted, asking directions from a man, getting nowhere, and near collapse and having that same kind stranger giving me a lift to your hotel; and me giving him a rose I purchased for myself.
It was the light in Jhevz eyes when she told me about being in the Masquerade.
it was talking Mike L about B movies like…. which one was it… like Revenge of the Nazi Surfers and then a man dressed as a Nazi walks by.
It was helping an Indian lady make my bed at thr hotel and seeing the gratitude in her eyes.
It was the look of genuine warmth from the man that opened the cab door at the MArriot saying I’m glad to see you again and the feeling that i was seen and appreciated.
It was the warmth i felt for a little girl who gave HDS a stuffed pirate cat for being Jack Sparrow.
It was the warmth and appreciation i felt for ileykkai and her mother and to see how they really cared for each other and how Dee was so excited though did not say much. It was Michelle and her sweetness so natural to her and a number of others. It was Goblin from England sharing toast in the middle of the night and shedding my last tears for LEXX…. thank you for that; Goblin.
So you see my report has no interest if what you wanted to hear the cast news. I left that for others to extol their virtues; I did that in the past; and they are wonderful no doubt; but that does not hold sway for me anymore. You know who the real wonders are….
psst…… c’mere I’ll tell you…… “whispers” it’s you and me and all of those not mentioned. Those chained by the neck by Mr. Donovan in Def Con 4 or in Yo Way Oi do all the work and inherit a bomb to blow up our home. Now, I don’t know about you but to HELL if I’m letting some scientist, intellectual or pretty but shallow “new man ” blow up my planet. I will fight until my last breath to be heard exactly as i am; and if I am not heard that is YOUR Problem and not mine. I don’t want to be sized up as a freakin’ sex mate I just want to be heard. WHO in THE HELL ever said beauty and what is TRUTH are the same. The Greeks well they fell; so do all major civilizations this one will too.
If you ain’t got heart you will not make it and don’t mean heart for those you deem as suitable to your little ego or brain.
Wake up now; a lot of people are getting rid of their TV’s! Why? because it does not represent their life. Those under 30 people do not represent the population; they represent a fantasy that soon will be stashed away as RL will take center stage.

I guess it doesn’t matter now but nothing that happened recently surprises me and I could have told any of you but you didn’t ask me so I’m willing just to keep my thoughts to myself and let what happens happen; these are not my problems anymore I could have helped but why be ignored again or pushed aside for someone or something “better”. (smirk) Well, i hope it’s worth it in the long run. Well I did my time for LEXX
What is done is done; I am Comfortably NUMB;
I guess it’s not a matter of not having a good time as a matter of degree of fun. it was more of a wrap up for me; the end of an era and with that there is sadness but mostly a sigh of relief. Now I can take care of me for a while, do what i want; like watch the University of Iowa Hawkeye football; switch jobs, move again for the 3 rd time this year; but write what i want like the story I’ve been working on for over a year or so now. it’s more futuristic than sci-fi now so may not be good here. it’s pretty serious and it involves imprisonment, persecution and concealment; I think of it as a Northern Ireland meets Anne Frank. The ultimate goal is freedom but the story happens in the journey; that’s where the victory is won. This occupies my time. I’ll just choose other ways to have fun in the future. Ain’t no big thang baby cakies!
it was a pleasure to meet you; if everyone else have a great time it works for me; I’ll get my fun at another time; you get what you want now; I get what i want later. I got no problem with that.
my joys are simpler and not based on another person no matter how spectacular that person is; I give myself kudos; if other people recognize that well that’s a plus; if not….. I got me; I know what I know and no one can do what i do; that’s the great thing about it the combination that makes-up me…. that makes-up you… is unique. No one is better than anyone else…. just different.
if you choose not to see what is special in every person or take the time ti find out…. you never step beyond the walls of your own mind. And since like attracts like ….you are probably surrounded by a lot of people that may look or think like you; if you do not actively seek out what may not be “you” and find out what that’s all about….. well , you never see the whole picture; you won’t grow…. you won’t challenge yourself. You will build walls to keep “them” out and will end up miserable. So get out of your own way…. stop living in your world….. shut off the ME ME ME tape and listen to others. Oh that could mean you have to take a back seat to someone else for a while; so what? I LOVE it when others see their heart’s desires come true; it’s like that fireman line they have in movies if you go we all go. Egos create strife; love creates unity I’m all for the latter.
So peace all; be well….. be happy. I’m rooting for you all!

I’m sorry sweetie; I am out of sorts after this CoN; I wanted to hear about writing which is my interest and it was about acting. No biggie, I’ll get my answers from other sources; other writers and use some of my intuition; it works well for me. And Valdron helped me a little; thanks to him.
Yeah, it’s good to close a door while others are just opening theirs. Peeps like you Bebop say Hello while I say good-bye; it is heartening to see. “Larger voices are calling me” to work here in my own backyard. I mean if U can’t be victorious in my own backyard; I’m wasting my time on something bigger. My faith says that faith equals daily life and the close at hand reveals the mysteries of the stars; you just have to be open and look. Here, I will be accepted for me; and not for what i look like or what i do or where I came from; I will be loved because i love … the size of my heart not my ego. I will find this. I am sorry that I failed to convey this to all of you; I am sorry I messed up. I hope some day someone will come along better equipped that you will listen to. 😥

Well, it’s time for maintain DC silence for me; no computer no phone so whoever does it see ya HardRock downtown tomow eves after 7pm. The rest of you guys and dolls Friday forum or Mixer! It’s okay guys….. we managed to have a great time last year when we were just a glimmer and wink in DC eyes; now there are 5 forums 3 parties; you did that ….. YOU!!!!! Show your support for the show even if there were or were not machinations afoot.
At this point I wouldn’t watch either of them jump into a wet dishrag; and DC will probably thumb their nose at them in the future; but who’s to say? I’d want proof and and sue whomever for breach of contract; but what’s worse is the breach in some fans’ hearts that may never heal. I really feel for them.
They both should run to Germany and stay there; Rolf can find work there.
Don’t rush honey; I’ll see you and company in time besides it really is no big deal at all. I’ll be exhausted looking chick looking like a librarian after a first grade reading hour; frazzled and worn out. 😯 😆

Yeah, sorta like that is my idea; we read about the cast and crew when info is there thus if they have nothing to do on those cold snowy nights up North and the Moosehead runs dry and as their huddled forms quake from cold; by shear force of will in an attempt to keep their numb fingers warm… they can log on and read about us. 🙄 or if they choose… with a laptop on a yacht in Cancun between reeling in marlins or dark-eyed native beauties. 😉

We will be taking this discussion off line for a while and on to PM as to keep it unbiased and doggone it …..it’s mysterious… and it keeps things spontaneous; nothing like the truth that comes out when people are unprepared.
Elmey, you will need to approah a lexx.com BB persona for a Vegas report; try to pick someone who does not hanker for a “star” overly much or, sorta like me do the other swing to the pendulum, that is, not favorable to them. One extreme or the other… well that colors what they write and we don’t get a full picture of what’s going on. May be Mantrid can write us a blurb; I saw he was going; or Pinhead. Or have whoever wants to try there hand at prose post here. Make sure they can be objective or we will miss parts of what’s going on.
What’s more my baby is that segment “Know Your LEXXians” I have questions made up to kick it off that even I had problems with on the fly. The important question is always why; in this segment i want to know why they like a character; or an ep; I want to see the gear smoke filling a room of LEXXians as they put on their Stan thinking hats and tell us about themselves. Let’s start with Mod’s; heads of the fan clubs like Cat if we can get it; and then mix it with regular posters. we will try to get everyone identified; like the LEXX encyclopedia I heard tell about. So we may have to blow the moth balls off of some LEXXians ( get it) 🙄 they should get some credit for their work no matter if their site is gone or the LEXX they fashioned out of Beer cans has long been returned for another 12 pack. I want to hear it.
I mean who da thunk we’d be still talking about a show 14 months after it ended? With a little elbow grease; and some pulling together LEXXians will not only be known as dysfunctional heretics of the sci-fi universe; but as a merry band of outcasts that thumb their nose at convention because we have the freedom to do that.

She then stops midstride; quietly moves to her chair; withdraws a cigarillo from a box ; deftly lights it and leans back. Please help with your input; and if anyone is going to Vegas I need reports. I think we should approach Pinhead and ask him to write up a blurb. And we can get started on the “Know Your LEXXians” segment early. You know get some primary players out of the way first; or we can continue that beyond DC. I mean that LEXX,com thread “What Do You Look LIke” is ever popular. I just think it’s better to know a bit about the person behind the mask and not those profiles. Yeah, profiles are okay but they are so cold and impersonal; they don’t ask the “good stuff.”
Moi? perky before noon? I think not. It will be enough to get me to the parade at 10am 😛 I’ll start writing Thursday when I hit town so it can go in on Friday. And, if i don’t show for Saturday’s party then someone can do the work for me. Well, as all reporters are….. we are not always popular with the ” man” or as the case may be “mans” so i will concede the floor to our stars on Saturday so they will feel comfortable imteracting with the masses. I’ll arrive in Atlanta about 5pm on Thursday and then after kissing the ground and bowing to the East I’ll be taking my flying carpet….. oh okay the subway or a cab to my hotel and then after a little while to freshen up I’m willing to meet anyone whose game at the Hard Rock Cafe say 7:30-8pm on Thursday. If ya want to meet at the Super 8 which is my temporary DC residence that’s fine with me; and we can walk over to the Hard Rock…. it’s a little bit of a walk but it doesn’t bother me. Or if you prefer meet us there. Sorry my LExxy clothes are packed in box on the East Coast…. so who wants to meet me at the Hard Rock will have to wear the Lexxy clothes so I will notice you ( sorry if that sounds shallow) 😛
Underground Atlanta kind of like a strip mall underground now. it’s kinda in the heart of the downtown near the CNN Center. if i get a chance on Friday after the Conbadge acquisition…. I may try to hit the Martin Luther King history spots or just nose around until the first LEXXtrack at 4. If you want to go with me to get your badge or want to make sure we get our bearings right before time I’m doing Friday morning. Time….. well ….. that is in direct correlation with the amount of kamakazi’s consumed the night before 😉 (I’m on vacation…. for good ness sake…. I can’t behave every moment)

Well, I’ll be in Atlanta on Thursday afternoon; and staying at the Super 8 to save cash. I’m going to the Hard Rock Thursday night if anyone else is in early and wants to join me; it’s a tourist trap but it’s fun and it’s downtown. Or. hmmm…. i might try to find that bar i wanted to go to last year called Dante’s Inferno but it was moved to Buckhead. It’s old location looked cool. It was located in Underground Atlanta and the entrance looked like you were going down into the hull of a ship; you descend downward. It was kinda cool; i wonder if the new location is like that?
So if you are in early and want to meet let me know early and let me know here or we might miss each other because i don’t have a laptop or cellphone so i have no idea what’s going on when i hit Atlanta. I’m going out Thursday regardless. If you feel more comfortable just pm me here on this BB.

I don’t have any questions for her; the eps amused me but didn’t wow me…. there are only a few that did that; but I KNOW there are others that loved those eps with that vampire stuff and all 😈

Well, FG; when you stand in a spotlight you’re gonna sweat….. or in other words if you are trying to get across an idea or ideas it’s hard work….you are under scrutiny….. what you say is under a microscope….. if not plain ignored….. (those that stumbled on it and then stood up and walked away) If what you are saying is right and resonates then some will derive what they need from it, some will mock you for what you look like and ignore the message; some will dig one and not the other which makes it incomplete… and so on and so on….
So you have to know what strength you have inside to get a message out and you had better really believe what you are saying. How many learned men and women bombard us daily with the hooks of wisdom just to take our money for some worthless trinket or exercise tape and then whisk to some tropical region with some plaything…. with our money and a piece of our trust….
The closing and hardening of the heart kills us sooner than hardening of the arteries; kills the spirit…. kills the mind….. the body goes on but there is no life in the eyes… May be death is too much of a term…. may be our heart goes dormant and that is why their this huge focus on love…. and because it’s a male dominated world on a whole at least in it’s Western regions…. a huge focus on sex.
Why is there a revolving door on relationships and marriages?
There are many types of love…. and some of the better types involve no contact whatsoever. It’s caring enough to let go, to know oneself and someone well enough to let them pursue their own life without inteference but hoping with all your heart they find what they need in life and that the spark of love and trust reignites in their eyes and stays.Sorry, my stuff got out….

You know I think people are really looking for something different…… I work for a research firm now…… and people who like reality shows now are dwindling and yet they also are tired of watching crap that California spews out.
Personally, I thinks it’s stupid to get all hot and bothered about these kind of people….. I mean you give them more consideration and kindness than you give to someone you see everyday and do they deserve it….. more than likely not.
No matter how well they do a role….. they will still go home and be themselves in the end. Do I think Ben Kingsley is above others because he played Gandhi? No. he did quite a job; but I don’t know the guy personally; he doesn’t sign my checks or pay my bills or take out my trash in the morning
I just think that these fame thing is a double edged sword…. though I’m sure it can be difficult…… it has it’s upside ….. you take it as life hands it to you. I’m the star of my backyard…. that’s all that matters to me.
Meeting famous people is actually not all that it’s cracked up to be….. most of the time you are herded like cattle in a line; pay to have something signed and may be a pic and that’s it;
I don’t care what anyone says; that has been my experience… there is no interaction and if there is it is not with my type of quiet observer yet chatty when comfortable type of person.
That’s when the squeaky wheel theory is most present… if you have looks or are bubbly, etc…. you might get a little more attention….Sorry, I downed the thread….. where were we” Oh… Canada…… it would be okay if they took over ;I’ve met some nice Canuks. People are people wherever you go; some good some bad… all trying to get through it all…..
Not be rude or anything because we have guests and all and LEXXians are helping to foot this bill to some degree with the raffle and all…. but I think it should be clear that these “parties may not be like I would consider a “party”.
Personally, I’m not really going for the “star struck effect” been there, did that, sold the rights, made a fortune and lost it all…. I’m going to see others like Frey and Trini and the assorted ragtag crew we had last year…..and meet others that I have talked to here on Sad’s…. like Elmey or Aleck and James a whole slew of other peeps.
Can’t go wrong hanging with the homies; they usually don’t have to worry about stuff like security… unless it’s HDS in costume as Kai…. and what shall we do with the robot head this year….. may be we should get him a copy of Playgirl to peruse….. last year it was coffee and a drink with a straw…..Again, traveling to a different drum….. I want to have a good time with others that are a little like me…. That’s it…. I hope to see you there! 😆
Oh and BTW I would be interested in some little blurbs about LEXX fans; they seem to be an interesting group….. Something like Know Your LEXXians….. like blurbs on who doing the sites or making the art or writing the stories. And asking the tough questions like….. fave and least LEXX ep; how did you find the show…. why it’s liked…… if there is a history of Sci-FI enjoyment…. what got you interested in Sci-FI Favorite main and not so main character and why?
And possibly a panel discussion of the LEXX from the beginning to the end with a panel of say 5; where each rewatches an ep and talks about it then we switch the panel around.
I don’t know I think it might be interesting to put names to faces …. we are currently all here even though it’s end + 1 and counting.
And possibly one place to see a quick blurb to see what everyone is up doing. Again, those we all know and those that are not as known such as Lauren Abrams (sp?) or I went blank 😳 🙄 yeesh Dr. Longbore…. (smacks forehead) Yeah it was the Noah’s rendition of that physique 😉 🙄

The only costume I be gettin in to was from last years Halloween; it’s the Grim -reaper contraption that shows a upper deck and lower deck if you know what I mean. I guess I could adapt it for a Sad enough costume with a little green and purple. Ah a ‘wearing of he green and purple…. does my Irish heart good… the last time i be seein’ that is my Uncle Fergus’s Irish Wake…. you know it be lasting so long he was turning before we but him in the ground…..
