This is a ‘first impressions’ review of the Beastars Animated TV series (2019). It contains pictures and details of the show – It was pretty good but had some ‘flaws’.
This is an Anime review of the Carole & Tuesday series – a story about a musical, girly duo set on a terraformed Mars. Tuesday Simmons, (from a wealthy and politically powerful family) runs away from a stifled existence at home. She meets her soul buddy, Carole Stanley a struggling part-timer who likes to play music but finds it difficult holding down a job. The guitar and piano playing duo rise to stardom with style and a healthy amount of cuteness – but the sci fi backdrop is truly inspiring!
This episode had much more comedy than the last and it was really pleasant to watch. I’m not sure how the character of Tilarna will develop, she surely can’t keep going on as she is, entertaining though that is.
Bem, Bella and Belo need to fight a modified human to stop him killing young women. Sonia begins to realise that Bem and his friends may not be evil.
BEM (episode 4) has been delayed until later this month because of the Kyoto Arson attack in Japan. The official website of BEM says that the episode content needs to change following the tragedy.
In this week’s episode, Masato, Wise, Porta and his mother head off to a village to battle the Empress of Night. Little do they know that one of them is related to her!
Typically, anime fans watch three episodes to make up their minds on whether or not to continue watching the show or now. in this article we take a more detailed look at each of the top shows and try to objectively determine if it is worth continuing with them. You can, of course, read detailed reviews of most of the shows in the anime category of this site – Here. Shishio and Senku are fundamentally at odds with the the strategy for reviving the human race. Shishio only wants to bring back the unsullied, uncorrupted youth and permanently destroy the adults by breaking their statues. Senku on the other hand, wants to bring back everyone.
The direction of the show was great and the development of the lead character was wonderful. I have such a crush on Bela, who I am positive is the older sister of Cat Girl from Gegege no Kitaro! The story was really good and the shock of a supernatural villain bringing us down to earth from a teenage high school drama was terrific! Lots of fun!
I noticed that the graphics weren’t as sharp as last week, not the blur, I just would have expected more detail. Story, characterization, and dialogue were wonderfully written and held my attention throughout.
This is a showcase anime. It’s a little like Gegege no Kitaro in that it’s 50 years old and has been done a few times, it’s therefore highly respected as a story and also an important part of Japanese Anime culture. There were never going to produce a cheap and nasty version of Bem and I gotta say, it definitely lives up to the hype!
Very thought-provoking, intelligent, exciting and fun. I really enjoyed the info about Calcium Carbonate as wasn’t aware of all its uses or importance in our society. So, it was a fun show and I learned something. All we need now is some disco-dancing-vampire-bikini-girls and maybe baseball, and it’ll be perfect!
I thought it was great! The voice acting was the highlight although the graphics were great too, especially the use of colour. Production values were high and the direction was very tight. The all important coolness/funniness and sexiness was very high. Next weeks episode is called Necromancer – I cant wait!
Although the show is marvellously produced, well voice acted and has great characters that are developing at a nice pace, it’s written for 12 year olds. There is nothing for us older kids here!
This is the second episode of the anime reviewed last week (Demon Lord, Retry! – Review – Episode 1) and I still don’t hate it but the next show will have to be special to give a thumbs up recommendation to you. This weeks episode is called “Golden Luna.”
The first episode is called, Lost Ones from Another World and once you got the hang of it, the show was ok. This is a show which I will definitely apply the three watch rule before deciding if it’s worth viewing to the end of the series.
The show was great, it it hadn’t been for the stoopid whiny, overly dramatic bit from the middle to the end, the show would have been much better and appealed to older fans and not just teens.
