lexxrobotechParticipant
I don’t get any sci-fi porn here. To tell the truth, I feel quite cheated. ๐
lexxrobotechParticipantI love this site! ๐
lexxrobotechParticipantEvery year I ask for the same thing, and never get it (Eva Habermann).
Bah!
lexxrobotechParticipantTo true. I don’t mind it if they make a change for the festive season, but at least make it a tolerable change.
lexxrobotechParticipantI will probably be shot for saying this, but I really think the first matrix film had an awesome end. (I thought the other two were crap).
If I had to choose one though, I would say the end of Contact. When the school child asks Dr Arroway (Ellie) if she thinks there are ‘aliens out there’ she looks up and says that if there aren’t, then it would be ‘an awful waste of space.’
– Now to most that is just a typical feel good hollywood ending, but if you take it in context of the story you see it is much more than that : It is her only true admission of ‘faith’, the lack of which had cost her the initial trip. It is an outstanding intelligent end to a brilliant story, that could only have been written by a master scientest like Carl Sagan.
lexxrobotechParticipantWell done bud!
lexxrobotechParticipantIt’s dead. I killed it. It’s locked in my basement.
lexxrobotechParticipantHappy Thanksgiving to all our American friends!
lexxrobotechParticipantMwa-hahaha! – The Frey : I thought you were going to say you spent the most boring hour of you life being involved in the podcast!
Sadcast 14 can be like “Leisure Suit Larry 4 : leisure suit larry and the missing floppies” and not really exist due to technical failure.
lexxrobotechParticipantcould you give us a little more infomation?
lexxrobotechParticipantIn a way, I am kind of happy. I should be able to make Friday 17th.
lexxrobotechParticipantWhat? You’re leaving Texas?
lexxrobotechParticipanthmmm, it’s not just you, I also need a brain upgrade! ๐
Mandara K’s post don’t always make sense to me, but then again, sometimes I read my posts from a while back and am not sure what I was on about at the time either. ๐
lexxrobotechParticipantI’ve been toying around with it a fair bit, Tony really helped me out a lot over skype.
I must just say, @!#@!#@!# ‘create’ instead of ‘save’. Everytime I create a video file I swear when I save it. I can’t believe that two hours of screwing around with the software and I still didn’t work that one out. (Tony will know what I am talking about)
I am playing around nicely with the software, battling to get a clear audio recorded though. I just look so dumb on camera, and no amount of editing can fix that for me!
lexxrobotechParticipantI take it you have a samsung?
I think samsung use T9, and Nokia and everyone else call it ‘predictive texting’.
None the less, I do use it when I send a text or ‘sms’ as we call it here. Most of the time I couldn’t be @rsed and just phone the person anyway.
lexxrobotechParticipantThe boy’s name Duncan is pronounced DUN-kin. It is of Scottish and Gaelic origin, and its meaning is “dark warrior; brown fighter.” A royal name in early Scotland. Literary: in Shakespeare’s “Macbeth”, Duncan is king of Scotland.
A “Gurney” is a stretcher with wheels.
I’d stick with Duncan.
lexxrobotechParticipantI’ve been blown away by the Killers latest song ‘when we were young’ and My Chemical Romances ‘welcome to the black parade’.
Awesome tunes!
lexxrobotechParticipantHeh.
I had a bulldog called Harkonnen.
lexxrobotechParticipantWell, it’s a bit of a catch 22 for me. I do think it helps to have a bit of eye candy here and there, sex does sell, but I also prefer it when characters are that much more ‘real’.
It’s a very thin line. I think Lexx is a good example of how to do it – Zev/Xev is offset by Stan.
lexxrobotechParticipantI’d like to see a remake of the last starfighter. A little less cheese, a little more grit, could be a good movie.
lexxrobotechParticipantA lot of the time the world seems to pass me by without me noticing what is going on. This is one of those times.
I seem to be “Authur Denting” more often than usual.
๐
lexxrobotechParticipanteasier to use, easier for lexxrobotech. Thats a win win.
lexxrobotechParticipantThanks for the info.
PS, just wanted to say, “Texas Rocks!” ๐
lexxrobotechParticipantSo we’re getting an up grade. How sad is that!!! ๐
Look forward to it. As long as it doesn’t lose this purpleness. I’m all for it!
lexxrobotechParticipantWelcome back out of lurk mode ๐
lexxrobotechParticipantWoah! I agree with The Abyss and Aeon Flux. They both get my vote.
lexxrobotechParticipantAtom Age Vampire, The Brain from Planet Arous & The Crawling Eye! Three of my best. They’re so bad, they’re awesome!
Also, was thinking about the ‘invaders from mars’. That should get a mention.
What would you say to Attack of the Killer Tomatoes and the Return of the Killer Tomatoes? I don’t think they should get a mention as they are ‘spoofs’.
I have to give a shout out to my greatest movie of all time… Creature from Black Lagoon. Such a cult in my books it’s almost a religious experience for me everytime I watch it (Which is pretty ogten).
Had another thought as well : Flash Gordon? Any takers?
lexxrobotechParticipantI think it looks really lame. It doesn’t fit with the rest of the feature.
I don’t understamd why they do things like this. I like extra scenes and features added in, but not when they do this when the movie is so old.
As far as I am concerned, Star Trek and Star Wars would/will always stand the test of time, no matter how out of date the special effects are.
lexxrobotechParticipantno ways!
I want my sadgeezer underpants right now!
lexxrobotechParticipantyeah, make us green with envy! ๐ฏ
lexxrobotechParticipantwho do we know that’s going to be there?
8)
lexxrobotechParticipantI missed the link.
Is it still around?
lexxrobotechParticipantI’m going to set aside some time to do my own… probably next month.
I’ll do a robotech one with the release of Shadow Chronicles being only a few months away.
14th August 2006 at 10:01 am in reply to: Sad, I’ve got to tell you about "The American Astronaut #76626lexxrobotechParticipantyou had me at glass vagina!
I need to see this show.
*begins download search*
lexxrobotechParticipantTouch wood, I haven’t had a problem yet.
Maybe she should try some software like getright to help.
lexxrobotechParticipantWell, not really new, but I still can’t seem to take my “Killers” cd out of my car.
I think Snow Patrol’s ‘Chasing Cars’ and Keanes ‘Is it any wonder’ are still my two songs of the moment though.
Best CD of the moment is Angels and Airwaves. Their song ‘the machine’ is probably one of the best songs I’ve ever heard.
lexxrobotechParticipantCouldn’t agree more with you on that Sidhecafe.
lexxrobotechParticipantWelcome back. Hope you stick around. ๐
lexxrobotechParticipantapart from the Lexx episode reviews… ๐
๐
lexxrobotechParticipant‘Fenchurch’
Welcome! Always nice to have another hitchhikers fan here.
For me Lost is like that. Miss a few episodes and WTF?
lexxrobotechParticipantI’m ready for Sunday’s re-record. Sorry a missed Friday, I only checked my computer on the weekend.
lexxrobotechParticipantHmmm, no Back to the Future.
Not a bad list. You’ll never be able to please all sci-fi fans as we all have our favourite ‘flavours’
This made me think of a list someone did here not so long ago about their best sci-fi authors. I don’t believe Jules Verne came up.
lexxrobotechParticipantUnlikely.
I heard CT on the radio here and they were teasing her about being the only Afrikaans sci-fi action/supehero and she said never again.
She wasn’t having a go at the movie, but that she wanted to something different, now it’s done it’s not likely to happen again.
lexxrobotechParticipantChistopher Crab… sounds like a garbage pale kid. Some sort of dodgy porn child.
lexxrobotechParticipantI’d love too… but my technical skills in that regard could be compared to that of an Australian fruit bat.
lexxrobotechParticipantRats!
I’ve missed another one.
I really would have liked to been in this episode. I thought the show was really cool. The audio was a little bit broken in places, but I think we can get that fixed.
Faldor – Your bit was fantastic. I really enjoyed it. I think the team is really starting to come together and feed off each other quite nicely.
Lets keep it up.
PS Saddy, well done, you’re really putting a lot of effort into this. It is much appreciated.
lexxrobotechParticipantDoes this mean we may get to see you on Skype again?
*nudge* *nudge*
*wink* *wink*27th June 2006 at 6:17 am in reply to: What super heroes would you like to see on the big screen? #76533lexxrobotechParticipantahhh… the Huntress. Now she was a cool super hero!
One of Gotham Citys finest.
lexxrobotechParticipantAwesome idea!
Perhaps in the DVD.
lexxrobotechParticipantWhat was the first gothic movie ever?
