Yeah, I’m doing the “South American Grand Tour” type of traveling and going by bus. I don’t know…. you meet some characters by bus…. but it’s a long ride. It’s just important I arrive in one piece
Anyway, I arrive on Friday around 4pm. Then I’ll probably go get my badge check out the party site and then go to the store and then possibly crash for a while. I’m at the (Zuper) Super 8.
I always travel cheap; that way if something happens with my Dad who has been ill then I can drop and go when I need to.
So those of you that might feel uncomfortable doing this alone or if you just want to go as a group; this is what the little wheels are turning out. After you give me some time; does anyone want to meet for dinner on Friday night; I know where the Atlanta Hard Rock Cafe is; there is a lot on Peachtree so we can pick something out. We will go early enough so we can “freshen up” before the Mixer.
If not, I’ll go it alone and see you all there at the Mixer.
Are we wearing big heavy stuff like clerics or lighter breating costumes or are we costuming at all?

I think I will throw myself an Un birthday; since I did not really get one last year due to the flu… we’ll see if anyone shows. I’ll stock the tub. 😀
💡 Oh and peeps I can be the off-center partycenter for those after hours …..that is if you don’t trash the room and I don’t have to toss you out because of necking with life sized dolls or bringing farm animals…. 😈 you get my drift. If i can get to the store I’ll pick up the snacks and refreshments. I’ll try to remember to bring some tunes and something to play them on…. if no one is interested that okay… I’ll just sleep it off….. 😉

Gosh Trini it would be good to see yous guys again… that would be my main reason to make a push to really go…. and of course to check out the costumes….. People watching is great at these things!
And forums, are we getting forums or are they still on the “Sound of Music” mindset about LEXX? PFFT, last year was just a testing ground….. what do you think we can do if we really get to rockin’ it… the possibiliites …. ah the possibilities…… 😯 😀

Some of the gallery pics are really great; the “revenge of the make-up girls” is extremely funny.
It just looks like it was a reaaly good time had by all when they made the show. I’m sure that it was stressfull to stay on budget and the thousand things that go wrong every day in a production; but it just really looks and feels that these people really liked working together no matter the stressors.
BTW, 😈 the pic with Donovan…. I wonder if he saw that commercial for GE with the joining of brains and beauty? They have the same hat. Did you see that commercial where the guy in nanotechnology runs into a supermodel outside a laudromat and they go running on the beach, and at the end it’s a commercial for a washing machine?
Now before everyone goes running to him to “tell” 🙄 I’m only making a comparison on the hat…. and possibly the intelligence…… I don’t know the man….. I can’t say for sure. I just think it’s a great commercial.

Well, 2 nights ago I had this dream that some film company came into my hometown and wanted to shoot a movie called Zeke….I ….Beir and they asked some of my brother’s friends to be in it. 🙄
I told my bro and immediately we started working it all out as a crop circle, Blair Witchy, kinda Amish porn( you know Amish porn… where there are centerfolds of the ladies knees and shots of them milking cows) artistic extravaganza with an existential twist….. (thus the Zeke……I bie……r)

I can’t spend a lot of time going over this since I have a new job I have to train for out of town and I may not have a computer; so I hope to make this short and sweet.
Flame it is good you are concerned; I think that the cast should probably be asked if attending is a good idea; I have a tendency to believe that next year’s “acceptance” at DC really does not factor here nor does whether they sit near other stars or not. It might, it might not, it depends on the individual.
We are regular people, we are doing our best; but we don’t control DC so WE will do the best we can to treat our honored guests well. If it does not reach their standards then may be they should not attend. This is not the set of a movie theatre it’s a fan convention. If it’s “roughin’ it for some then so be it. Look I went to UnCon and slept in the back of a car in a parking lot in New Brunswick to go to see these peeps on their own turf. But you know THATS the fun stuff!

Well, I would advise against polling at this time; I think whatever the issue is; it is too volatile to post right now or even poll. I would recheck the facts and sit on it for a few days and even a week. IS it possible to know ALL the facts; don’t go off half cocked and just end up hurting others and ultimately yourself.
Undercut LEXX fandom? That’ll be the day… even the ending of the show has yet to do that.

If you have done something or someone wrong…. hmmm. It’s an individual thing; some will, in time learn to accept you, but once a bond is broken; it is rarely ever the same. It takes a courageous heart to forgive someone who has done you wrong; it also takes a courageous heart to try to repair damage done to another; to admit we are not perfect; to admit we were wrong: to try to make amends; and to accept and move on if there is nothing more we can do to repair a situation.
That’s why it is better to think about everything that comes out of our mouths and fingers. (Yeesh, this is a hard one for me :P) I read some Chinese philosopher that said it is better to think 10 times before you utter a word; for once said and done it cannot be unsaid or undone.

Again, I don’t quite see how what is going on pertains to a “dark path”. Look, in the light zone after being an effective interpreter to the bad mimes of the cluster I was fed to the LEXX so as in the movie “The Red Violin” part of me lives on. 😉

If you are “our” protector then let’s here it, Flame. If not, let us learn it for ourselves; let us be the judge of what’s going on. Put it in a poll. I would suggest however that you allow the current plans for what’s going on to continue; how do we know if something is wrong, does not work, or is going the wrong way unless it happens.

Well, I’m sorry to hear you you are not being heard; Do you think there might be an underlying reason for that; and if there is, do you think you might want to try to repair that before you make your concerns known?
I usuallly find that in breakdowns of communications with others I have played some role in it. It takes 2 to tangl 😉 e as they say.
I also find that it is better to objectively look at my part in altercations; step out of my head and see if I may or may not have done something that was not fair (ie…. what I would not want to happen to me or someone I cared deeply for).
It is important to master our minds (and emotions) so that they do not master us.
For cripes sake guys, guys ,GUYS! What are you doing? If you don’t want to support LEXX US then for cripes sake don’t. Do not accuse someone of unfair treatment and then not elaborate. If you have issues then share them with us all or privately deal with this off the BB.
Us Con IS (thank heaven’s to betsy) FINALLY here; why ya wanna diss it before it even makes a trial run.
ANd BTW, the fans also pay a price; they pay for a pass and a place to stay and transport there plus they support LEXX by keepng BB alive and buying DVD’s. It’s like any good relationship there is freely giving and taking on both ends.
I think if these Stars were mistreated then I don’t think they would participate in a fan- driven CON. I thought they enjoyed themselves at MEgaCon or did someone lie in the report? They have an option to say no.
In other words, ya got issues deal with them privately or air them publically; I don’t care but give this new baby a chance to at least breathe.
Honestly, I just want to catch up with a few peeps I met and possibly meet some new faces and have a great time in the process without donning vulcan ears and brandishing a light sabre in order to feel comfy there.

ALLE-freakin-LUIAH!!!!! DC last year had a relatively small group of LEXXians but as with LEXXians everywhere we managed to make our own fun.
I found it fascinating that though not well repped at DC many peeps knew what the show was; even the MC’s at the costume judging knew XEV was part cluster lizard for he mentioned it while our intrepid group either entered or left the stage; I don’t remember which.
So either in Vegas or DC you have a great time; nw!
Can you imagine a little Stan in a “4” cap and jumpsuit or instead of “The Game” of chess it would be Candyland. A cryocrib with His Divine Shadow logo mobile over it playing the “yo” song.

It’s Rosemary’s Baby in the LEXX style. Since we were all about babies at the end of LEXX; they could redo the show called LEXX babies you know like muppet babies.
HDS would be a little easier to cast because most babies have very little hair.

There’s magic in these threads again folks! The downside is the bombing in Casablanca; the upside is the fact the TCM(Turner Classic Movies) aired both The Mummy and The Raven with Boris Karloff last night. I was sooo excited…. 😀 It wasn’t “The Raven” I prefer but it was do-able.

Like major storm fronts combining into a supercell; I’m anticipating the time that Lexxians can meet in one place; one big cyber party spanning the globe and crossing boundaries.
We have a force together, a community; and it says something that it still exists even a year after the last episode aired and its changing and evolving just like LEXX did. This is what is most exciting about LEXX now….. all of you.
It’s the interactions, and those highly original stories, it’s reflection on the show; it’s the agreements and the disagreements.
It’s all good kiddies it’s all good. 😮

I enjoyed the asteroid taking her head off; and I like how the LEXX took the initiative to get rid of her.
Now you guys don’t get all huffy puffy; Doreen was okay; Wist was interesting to a point; but now let’s not stone me….underdeveloped 😛 at that stage; something that was rectified in the series with the development of Lyekka.
