I have this idea of a shapeshifter that’s been kicking around for years and the reincarnation story/epiphanies that last over lifetimes all told with the major protagonist in the form of a cat, now that may change, he can change form with a catalyst who has her own debt of a lifetime before to pay.

It seems kinda pricey to me, and well if i go to a Con, I’ll stick with DC.
I’d hold off on tickets too, until MM confirms if he ever does. He’s proven untrustworthy when it comes to fandom, and now for me, totally unappealing, i wouldn’t walk across the street to meet the guy no matter how much he’s adored.
That’s me though, once they succumb to that “fandom- I’m holier than thou because I’m an actor and people who don’t know me adore me” status they totally become losers to me.
I don’t know who is dumber those that pedestal actors because of doing their job or the actors for believing all that praise. Look, warranted praise is good, well thought out and sincere, but constant, you were good… and then not follow it with a why or how
this particular scene or ep was good, is just baseless praise with no thought involved. It’s fawning on people, which sorry to say in our ass-kissing world is still an evil. We all berate characters on the screen that get through life by kissing- ass but in RL we don’t object? WTF is that?In RL we want equality in our jobs, and our government, and to advance by what we know and not who we know, but the reality is that because we allow it to happen in RL (ass kissing) and support it (pedestaling stars and sports figures).
Think of this, expecting all to act of their best potential, as if their life depended on it. If it meant life or death in how they treated their fans, and how they are viewed in the future. I expect no less from “industry” people than i expect of me or you. I expect them to go to work every day, work to their full potential, actively seek to create a peaceful work eniviroment, and then go home and ACTIVELY create a peaceful home enviroment. These are the main focus.
Why would you give them anything that you yourself don’t deserve? We ALL deserve praise like that, we ALL deserve pats on the backs and little gifts of appreciation for services rendered to the world. So instead of kissing ass, kiss your own… 😯 😛

Well, not only was putting Lucy Lawless in this, big hype, she forgot her British accent 1/2 way into it.
And um, we appreciate the troops and those that defend us but um we don’t need to go down that road again; it reinforces the military use here and now.
Look the military and those that lay down their life to protect our country DO deserve all our praise ,but if they go to war and kill for a ruler and his motives are for other than protection of the country and he exhausted ALL and I mean ALL ways of resolving it peacefully, my belief system holds him accountable for every person who dies and those that kill are equally guilty. And since killing even an ant means a kalpa in hell, well let’s just say these “souls” will not be around for a while.
I don’t know whoever said this is better than season 1 must have their head up their ass, or didn’t watch it at all. it’s not organized, it’s rushed. It’s a patch job. Give me season 1 or the mini any day. If this is what we get go back to 13 eps and ttake the time to write and film it correctly.
Imagination? The Brother Grimm which i saw today based on fairy tales has more imagination.
It’s frustrating as hell, because we have those that think if you just don’t LOVE it all you are not a fan, BS! i just prefer last season.
but if may be they flesh out Duella or Gaeta more. hmmmmm or even work that Cylon stepping over Baltar and leave him hanging in the breeze, the only intersting parts of that whole ep, the rest was formula tension. A miscarriage? Please, the stims, yawn, the Tigh stuff, boring.
But that’s my opinion of course.

I tell you it’s amazing who they have leading up fans in the BSG community, I mean that radio show, sitting for an hour wailing about how we shouldn’t let illegal immigrants in the country (I wonder what EJO would say about that) and we she recall troops from Germany to guard our borders (hello, we recall any troops, they go to Iraq for the big show, ya moron) and well, you whine about Capitalists should be left to rule the day, and have a society based on money and power and fame and popularity, then you have to expect those that live in poverty and no hope to gravitate towards that, it’s human nature to want to live a better life and have one for your children and yet to have loyalties to your mother country. America has been this for 200+ years, and you whine about it now.
If i were sci-fi I’d never back this show and if were RDM I’d never put my ear to it. I’ve heard enough if it, that’s for damn sure. I mean let’s shoot others trying to make a better life while we fritter away ours. Those people that try to get into the States are no better than this hot shot, they live, and feel like the rest of us but they don’t live in a gilded cage. Sometimes that’s what all this feels to me, a gilded cage.
Sorry, we were talking of the transcript, it just annoys me how blind some are. I want to believe they most people are good and decent, i truly do and most times i do, but I have no time for suck-ups.
To lift someone’s work is low. To offer only prasie is lying or shows no thought processes are going on. Again, that’s low end of the human range. If you believe those that say that everything you do is marvelous, would you believe them? I wouldn’t. Where is the why or how is it marvelous?
May be that’s why Gaeta concerns me, please stop making him such an ass-kisser and give him and Dualla an arc of their own.
After being there i like to be Home at Saddy’s because Saddy’s not a place where praise is handed out if something really sucks.

Yeah sci fi BB mentioned your transcripts so you know others lift them, but you know in your heart of hearts that you be THE MAN! and frak the rest.
I’m going to throw it out there but is anyone really surprised that they would take parts off the Pegasus, and dump the ship? C’mon, the Cylons have studied the newer battlestars, and well this show is called Galactica, not Pegasus.
You see this is the burr i have, I know about story arcs and they take time to be told, but it moves way too slow, on one hand we are praised as fans as being intelligent, but then given arcs that slow us down.
That’s why I don’t watch the sci-fi series offered before BSG, too slow, too predictable. I stick with movies mainly because i can be in a world for 2 hours, those that make it know this is it, all they have is 90 minutes or however long they have and they move it along. The exception of course is LOTR, but even that got slow. I skip over the Frodo scenes mostly because damn they take forever to get to Mt. Doom. But man love the Helm’s Deep stuff and the ents in The Two Towers, the Fellowship faves were with the elves, and the Return of the king were the Minas Tirith stuff. Love Gandalf, especially when he takes control of the battle and doesn’t take guff from someone not rightly in charge.
Sorry ot, but it is to show that I know they need arcs but for jiminy cricket, spice it up more.
Okay, let me be fair, Tyrol did do well in the Tigh exchange and the Boomer/jail moment, but man Olmos was incredible at breaking down, for an actor that usually has a tough screen persona …that was gold.
But I got ahead of HH, I’m sure we will hear of this in reviews. I’m off to watch Das Boot, i went to the Museum of Science and Industry yesterday in Chi-town and saw a U-boat up close and personal they restored and man, that was mind-blowing. They said the movie was very close to what is was like for those guys. I like watching Prochnow as the “old man” and how they contrast him in the movie.
For someone who can’t stand war, submarines interest me. i think it’s because, like in space, it’s a whole ‘nother world in the dark blue depths.

Can anyone say sophomoric slump? Yeah, the eps are slowly getting better but we have seen these types of scenarios over and over again on TV.
I think they shot themselves in the foot with these cliffhanger endings, it takes 6 eps to resolve it and they cannot move on until they do.
Well, Tyrol’s actor body no longer does fan BB work, he got all huffy, and well i don’t see Bamber’s popularity waning because he’s not on fan BB’s but the actor that plays Tyrol is not an Olmos or a Bamber, not even in the stadium. Not to get too far ahead, it’s
too bad they couldn’t replace the replacement CAG in Home 1 with him, better yum potential.Oh, well, I’ll face it, he’s here to stay and he does okay in these scenes, he hits the floor well, and does the tense well but wait a bit to see Adama’s work in The Farm, that’s talent.
I think what they could do is well tie up this cliff but go forward with something new, they need to get moving to Earth, put in that Cylon-rich ep, and what happened to the sex, the soft variety?
I mean I would prefer to watch the Leoben beating of last season and I hate violence, but it was interesting because there was intelligent exchange.
I don’t think these eps are better at all and after five of them i wonder what happened to the BSG I liked.
It seems repetitive nature of the Caprican stand-offs, booming Betty’s. and the jail cells are making this just another sci-fi show.
And I had such high hopes for it too.
Well, when I’m on the phone or something i turn on the subtitles if your TV can do that, and taping would help too.
And there is always room for someone else to jump in there and do the grueling work 😛 of transcription.
Unless you happen to like HH’s work and just mooch off of him. 👿 We had some problems with that.
I miss his reviews, but I’m going to be patient. They are always a good jumping off point, not too nitpicky, not too kissy-kissy of everything.
Oh, i know the transcripts will be my only link to the show, no Home to Pegasus for me, no sci-fi channel here. Oh well, c’est la vie. 😆

Well, be like me, I’m going into a no sci-fi cable mode for a while which I’m actually quite okay with. i just watch the DVD;s I want and read transcripts or spoilers of what i can’t see.
Godd luck in grad school too, sweetie, theology, right? Are you gonna teach or preach with that?
I find it happening at least every other day for me and possibly every day at times. It’s kinda like those Eureka! moments when you turn off your logical, rational brain and let the unconscious take a spin for a while, you like waking sleep. Jst as you pick up a pencil or pen when you need to work on something, your unconscious also says “I’d like to do this or work on this” and voila’ it aligns.
In this hot weather it’s in the stop lights and walk signs, i don’t drive now so i have to wait in the heat at stop signs and when you can align them to flask on as you come to an intersection, it’s much easier because you only have to pause and then move on. 😆 it’s great!
It’s all in alignment and energy, and of course Frey interceding with TPTB! Well, now, it’s good to here then after my time away then ’cause there is alignment going on. Feels like coming home!
Sid, AMC and TNT and for older stuff TCM are very receptive on giving you what you want without writing long letters to the cable networks. I find i get movies i want and shows i want by looking to them mostly. Sometimes, A and E, but ones like USA, or especially sci-fi are not amiable towards energy, or PK which is strange ’cause it is sci-fi for crying out loud.

In my humble opinion we finally get back to the BSG of last season,
it is better than the last three eps, though i understand why the last three were made in order to set up the next eps .
It’s smoother, the arcs are better, though the Boomer resolution was again kinda jerky.
I think I’m gonna like the Caprica story, the return of the Old Man, and Roslin amongst thieves and murderers. They can stuff the Cally/ Tyrol cage thing. The only thing good about it, is that Tyrol got a hit, and that his mother was an oracle, his father a priest. Well, that’s smart… they let their clergy marry.
Could you imagine with a Mom as an oracle? I can, you’d never get away with anything, they could see with eyes you wouldn’t believe.
You can see why the mechanic, prolly got him out of the house, and you you know what they say about “preacher man sons” they be wild! It’s from having to be good so much of the time.
yup, sci-fi in it’s true form, these SG and BSG are window-dressing for them.

I would get rid of all that crap they call movies and put real sci-fi on there and more sci-fi then horror, you know stuff that takes place in well ……space!

I don’t think it has the flow of last season, it’s very herky-jerky. And ripping movies that have benn done before, well, is boring.
I believe this does not match a KLG1 or 2, or even some of the weaker eps.
Too much running around in the dark, too much running around on Kobol. Not anough about the old man, or Boomer, and to be honest i am getting tired of their core players and ancillary. If they are not moving anywhere but in the dark or from Cylons on Kobol with a rip from another war movie, I’d rather see other members of the fleet or more about this council of 12 and the subsequent planets they represent.
I mean we know om Zarek’s peeps elected him why type of people would elect a murderer and a terrorist as their leader. that would be a psyche to delve into, the people that make the Colonies.
The rest of this is wind-up from the cliff and resolutions, and I’m bored with it

C’mon, there is a lapse of good sci-fi now but not forever.
It’s okay this BSG but the lack of good sci-fi leads peeps to create blanket statements like this which seem silly to me.
Critics and fans do this all the time…it’s marvelous, it’s the best sci-fi ever, when they said the same thing about a different show that aired year ago and guess what they will say the same thing in a few years about a new show.
There is not a clear rubric of making that kind of statement.
WHY? Why is this the greatest thing since sliced bread? i personally like Lucas’s THX1138 better than BSG for realism because it breaks the human down simply without all the F/X’s. It speaks to our need to conform, our spending habits. and a few other insights to what being human is.
I don’t need fireworks and scantilly clad babes to make it a good sci-fi show.
I personally did not like the beginning of this season, after “Scattered’ they seem to have settled down. I wasn’t impressed with the Cylon’s boarding the ship, we’ve seen Borg do that in ST, I wasn’t wowed by the younger Adama/ Tigh story, and i was underwhelmed by the “Saving Private Ryan” montage for Kobol.
But I’ll give you it some of the best-sci-fi now because hell there isn’t any and best TV now, again, what is there to compare it to?
We are talking the sci-fi channel not the big leagues , put it up against HBO, or do as they did put it on NBC they’ll get their ass wupped. Not because networks don’t like sci-fi, and all that stuff about bias to sci-fi.
I’m just tired of the constant propaganda for this show. if it’s sooo good then it should win awards right? And don’t BS me with the award givers have a bias against sci- fi. if it’s good enough, it should blow other out of the water regardless of past history.
I’m tired of the denigrating of sci-fi in the past, which was just as good albeit in a different way.
It’s like the Cylons vs. human right here right now. The “new” trying to upstage what has come before. All this teen agnst can get old too. When will it end?

OT a little, I was watching “The Motorcycle Diaries” last night and it hit me, they did it so well. I’ll try to paraphrase it.They said the Incans who were versed in astronomy, medicine I think and something else built this (they showed Macchu Picu) and then they said Coronado came by boat and gave us this (and they should the aeriel shot of Lima, Peru. What a difference. MP was surreal and beautiful, Lima modern and ugly.
No, Headge the Dante stap was general for those who keep handing us repeats of sci-fi until we all know what will happen before it airs. They need new ideas. For a genre that speaks of our future it lacks hope and it lacks imagination given the current sci-fi we have.
And no Sean Bean purring at the beginning of a promotional commercial for the Sci-Fi channel will convince me they have imagination when they show us ideas for shows they are not original, are too mainstream, and are boring.
I’m going back to finding the magic no. 😛 no watching movies and staying away from episodic television.
You see Headge there is a good reason for you to do all of this work. It provides a way for fans worldwide to be a part. That’s significant, more important the parts of individual stars or writers, or fans is the whole and where it can reach.
Oh and 42, 47, 69, 3, 3.14, etc….. i still say it’s loopy but we’re all a little loppy.

I was not impressed at all, even with those lifted “Saving Private Ryan” scenes again with a little Crimson Tide thrown in in the next ep of “Fragged” AH’s acting was executed well to get the response, but i felt more for Socinus than the guy who euthanized him. The Chief did slightly better in “Fragged” if they could stop ripping SPR.
This ep was so dark you couldn’t see the dead , I mean Hitchcock could pace scenes well to build suspense, this was a rush through.
No more cliffs for them 😕 they have problems resolving them for best effect.
And the baby drowning, um pointless, because we don’t even know what this baby is and yeah, if it’s Cylon half-breed Adam would kill it.
Stick with “Fragged” material about does killing another make us human or higher art and ideals. The Buddha said if there is a tiger at your feet ready to devour you, you are perfectly within bounds to knock it away, but killing a big no no. I mean if you watched Constantine they would make you believe we are all going to hell in a handbasket.

Oh Logan, I am sorry for your bad experience. My ideas are theirs on BB’s ’cause My best ones are not for shows, they are for my whim to develop, I’ll prolly be an Emily Dickinson type, they’ll find it all posthumously and well with morals being as they are will prolly lift them. No, we are do for a morality kick-in soon, remember the code imposed on movies in the 30’s or 40’s. You wait, you thought it’s bad now wait until that crack down on the new opiate for US masses, sex and the old violence. The staple of American entertainment. It WAS religion, now it’s sex, i mean it is hard to get intelligent ideas out of a populace staring at T and A or trying to be the one stared at. “yawn” I mean do corporate CEO’s go to strip club and talk of business in broad daylight. it may be that way, a little lap dance and a major merger.
Give me story first, sex if it is well done, and violence if if it’s in the story and fits and don’t dumb it down. Most sci-fi is dumbed down or so much techno-babble it drags.
I’m waiting for the ep that shows the carnage of war like a mass grave, but who wants to see holocaust like that? Rwanda saw it in our recent history. Millions slaughtered. Of course, we don’t want to think about that, we want to think about getting into someone’s pants. I don’t. I find this whole concentration on the inane a farce.

Ohh.Just do what you need to do to get unstuck, I don’t have probs with stories, it’s the wording so they all sit in my journals and my head until i try to get them down.
Thus and thus…. this is my burden so reading a great writer helps me, not in plagarizing, I am all for original ideas belonging to the originator, but i way into a story is where i am remiss without bogging it down with too much description. I do like my ideas more than what’s on the tele now or even in the theatre.
I should go on The War of the Worlds thread and rip that. 🙄 What happened there? The whole Tim Robbins thing and the rip of monitors from Minority Report! C’mon, where are the glowing minds here?
I enjoy this story better than that FX’s nightmare and stupid ending.

If a review is hard to do, do that contrast and comparison thing with the best show and current shows.
It could be this group got their money and decided to slide these eps, sad but true it happens.
I kinda gave up on BSG too, they are not going to venture that far out of formula and well I’m bored. I don’t see them losing anything of value to the Cylons anymore, and well the coming eps, a military coup, (yawn) an insurrection (YAWN) etc…. if you are up tp date with current events at all this stuff is old hat. Unless they can give new spins to old problems, I’d rather watch the news. Even the Roslin/ mystical baby/Adama stories are rote.

The OBVIOUS rips on Kobol from Tom Hanks in “Saving Private Ryan”were annoying as hell . i don’t know i just can’t say it was a doozey. I give it a 1.6 to 1.8 mill response. It was choppy. i just could not get vested in the story.
I am sorry to hear that., HH but well some people are just idiots. I feel like sometimes saying Hey, The Village called, they are wondering when you are coming back home.
The transcripts are a nice touch. may be you won’t have to do them for so long now. You see, these webmasters, a symptom to a larger problem to this show. I’ve seen people steal stuff right and left without being courteous at all. That’s a sad state of affairs.
You could always slip in some lines that weren’t there in the middle. like a Lee saying “I’m gay… and carefree.” A Tyrol line saying “I’m a big imbecile but aren’t i sexy when I’m angry?” They are becomng cartoonish. I mean c’mon…. how long can 6 months last, and Roslin goes to the big presidential mansion in the sky? They are going to drag six months for 6 years? “ZZZZZZZ”
The exciting words in BSG now? Pegasus and Cain.
Wake me up when they have something worrthwhile to contribute, otherwise it’s another boring sci-fi show that fits formula.
It makes me want to write sci-fi myself saying, hey guys, the war show better be pounding the swords back into plows. ’cause the peeps in this country are gonna get tired of war and of government. The fifteen minutes of fame may be winding down. You know what movies were offered in the States over the 4th? War pictures. Duh, you morons. the best thing of note right now is the relief for Africa. Africa is the heart of this planet, whether you believe it or not. And we all know if you don’t take care of the heart the body will die including the mind.
No, what do we get? All rhetoric, all Paris Hilton commercials. I love America but man there are times a nice cottage in Europe sounds good, away from all of it.

You are right, it does need some fleshing out but I’m sure as it unfolds it will. Nice description of the bending of space, the wonderment of stars, and the story of the Arcturians. Those who reside in the middle ground do get the mightiest storms from both sides, but it’s like you said, paradise when all calms down. That would be my planet, heck, all of ours, if we could only get there, and not on a spaceship; in our minds and actions. The question is, how DO we get there? It’s like that line from The Hand of God in nuBSG, “Sometimes you have to roll the hard Six. ” Sometimes, fallible and imperfect people have to take risks, for a higher purpose. They have to be willing to take their stripes, from those ignorant of a higher purpose
. It is like the Arcturians let’s say, to use your story, a group of forward thinkers going to Arct 1 and 3 and saying, if you continue to go in this direction you will kill your planet and yourselves and us as well. This is may be 100- 200 yrs BEFORE the planet dies. They are not only ridiculed, and sent back home, but they have to endure slanderous lies and possibly imprisonment and death and the hands of those that do not think ahead, but they do this, they keep trying, because they love their fellow Arcturians on all planets and they still cherish hope they will avert what they see. The result was their species survived. This love, this feeling is real.

I have no problem with guys and their catting ways, it’s natural. i just don’t want to be lied to about them. Hon that would be a rumor, the month break is for the actors and others to finish the last 10 eps which they will finish in December. it’s hard to watch the last 10 if they haven’t been made yet?

To be absolutely honest at this time, i don’t give a felder if it flies or not. I’ve had ENOUGH of the constant bickering of these fans and everyone beating other posters over the head with their slant on it whether that be the technical, or the military or the science, or even jst putting the agenda that’s it’s a good show. I just don’t like this fan base. they don’t agree on much of anything and they fight all the time. i lke LEXX better, the fan base was more fun and more open.
Good luck, though on getting support. Though you don’t need it now, this show after 20 eps could be in deep doo doo, and you’ll need to unify by then.
I refuse to duel in threads about a fracking TV show, and I learned this from personal experience, just because you write more does not mean you win the arguement. Less is better in our busy world, use more description, lees words.
