Me three, this is my fav. since Vlad. It’s in the grand tradition of playing a game of chess with the devil for possession of one’s soul (except for in this case, Kai has misplaced his soul 4 millenia ago!)

More games Kai and Prince should play: Candyland and strip poker.

ok, maybe he doesn’t want sex, but he doesn’t seem to object too much to being a passive participant. For example, when 769 wanted him to “bend over” and Stan said “It’s not going to happen” Didn’t Kai say “Why not?” It is enough to make one wonder what was going on with all those divine order priests back on the cluster…..

I have to admit that I was not able to get through any of “The lord of the rings”, but I liked the movie.

I’ll be disappointed if they don’t show at least some of bad carrot! I want to see more of this interaction between Prince and Kai…I think that they have some chemistry. (remember when they walked hand in hand on the beach in Season 3???). I have been reduced to viewing the vid-clips and trying to extrapolate from there. No matter how bad “bad carrot” is–I am compelled to watch!!!!

I await sad’s review with bated breath.

Well, I think that Farscape has gotten to be unwatchable…it is sooo boring now! Some of the characters may look like aliens, but they have to act exactly like (overwrought) american high school students. There is no feeling there of an alien culture. Anyone or anything ugly is generally evil (even on star trek it sometimes happens that the ugly-scary creature turns out to be good).

One of the more endearing qualities of Lexx is that you can’t usually predict the whole of an episode after the first two minutes.

    Some questions for Vlad:

Is Vlad frozen for good or will she be thawed out later for an encore?

What( or who) was Vlad before she became a super-assassin for the divine order?

Vlad is quite fashonable looking–any ideas for a line of clothing? Perfume?

Has this actress done anything like this before?

What was it like filming the episode?

I think we’ll have to wait a while.. I have seen two adds for friday’s show and I don’t think that they make it to Carpathia. They stop in New Found Land (that’s how stan pronounces it). Maybe Xev will have to buy a coat!

Something bad usually happens when I try to tape Lexx–either the show starts at 2:30 instead of 2, or I tape it with no sound, or hardly any sound (this was all the cable-guy’s fault). I ran out of tape in the last 10 minutes of “Wake the dead” etc.

If anyone knows a method of removing this curse (short of throwing a black chicken over my house) please inform.

I agree that Thodin seemed to be able to transfer the key by an act of will, (spoiler follows) but on the other hand the key fled Xev’s body when she almost got shot(in 4.01 or 4.02 I forget which), and she didn’t even seem to realize that she was in danger of dying. The key realized it though.

The other theory that Thodin, guru-like, has achieved some mastery over the key that Stan does not have also seems reasonable.

In the first episode before Thodin meets Kai in battle at the entrance to the Lexx he transfers the key.

Well actually, Thodin was about to die… he knew that it was suicide to face a divine assassin, that’s why he said “My life means nothing in the divine equation”. Maybe by Thodin concentrating on the futile nature of fighting Kai, the key must sensed that he wasn’t going to make it and transferred.

Here’s a really nice site in the UK (cambridge) about cosmology:
    http://www.damtp.cam.ac.uk/user/gr/public/%5B/url%5D

There are some nice pictures and it is aimed at non-specialists. Since it’s string-theory oriented, there is not much talk of particles, but there are still nice descriptions of current thinking in the field. (there is a section on dark matter for DT790, but i am afraid there is not much explaination there!)

Showing Lexx months later in the UK seems like an odd decision, I can’t quite figure out the reasoning for this.

Does the US scifi channel think that it increases ratings?

Also, none of the posts were really offensive, considering that internationally, the US has become the “1000 pound gorilla that sits wherever it likes”. I can see why you all might be feeling crowded out.

Possible cut scene: Kai stops into a local hair salon near the site of his crash, where they apply some wax and make his hair even higher (this is texas after all).

Of course, we all know that hair and fingernails continue to grow after death, so maybe he just has more hair to deal with. I would like to see him at his ‘toilette’ one day. Making that lucious lock that falls to the side.

But oh dear, how we have strayed from the topic!

Raven, Now you will get everyone’s hackles up! I wonder why the original actress was dropped (was it because she was a bad actress? Did she want more money? I am sure the hard-core lexxians know, maybe someone will fill us in) Eva was very pretty though and that goes a long way on TV. Overall, I like Xenia better, and she is a MUCH better actress.
